Robert Mills is an azzhole. It does not matter who he is talking about. Weasel. Slimy, smug slug. He is forever throwing shade at all kinds of people and making all kinds of gross accusations. His mother did not spank him enough when he was little. He probably hires someone for that now. I can see it personally.

So to me there's no evidence whatsoever that she wanted to be the Bette let alone that she had a plan to be the Bette.

Vanessa's "plan", IMO, based on her own words and actions during the show was to be F1 and to be with Nick - something she stated pretty much from the getgo all the way until the end at LCD that she wanted total reassurance that she would be the one/F1.

Anything else? Sorry but I don't see any evidence for that and Vanessa herself has proven otherwise, IMHO.

I am not a fan of Nick. Robert Mills said in his most recent podcast w/ Julia Cunningham that Nick is a 14 year old girl trapped inside a 36 year old man, and I thought he was spot on. I think Nick has a serious case of arrested development and I think Vanessa has figured that out or is in the process of doing so and is making the best of the situation she is in, for now. IMO, when the time is right, they will split. As always, JMHO.

She could quit at any time even after the HTD if she wanted to be the lead. Andi quit after FS and became the 'Ette so the predecessor was there. TPTB might have even encouraged it coz what better storyline for Nick to get heartbroken a 3rd time by his frontrunner. IMO All Vanessa wanted from day 1 was Nick and now he is all hers. Multiple girls from the show have said on record that they could tell that she would be the F1 and all her struggles were coz of the process. Also, making the most of the situation now would have been Vanessa staying in Montreal, giving interviews and enjoying her F1 life while Nick is on DWTS. No one would have thought it weird IMO coz the semester was still on. Instead, she is in LA completing tons of paperwork for immigration.

As for Millsy, back after Andi's season, he had called Nick something I don't even feel like repeating. So this is nothing IMO. He routinely throws his leads under the bus after their season is done and he doesn't have much to gain from them.

@notarose thank you for sharing this. I know you are a longtime supporter of Nick and I respect that. But I just can't wrap my head around the idea that someone who had been in a relationship w/ Balarama Holness could be truly interested in Nick Viall. Balarama is just on an entirely different level, in so many ways, IMO. To me this just gives me more reason to believe that Nick and Vanessa are a "showmance".

Nothing else needed, as I said, this is my opinion. To each her own and we can agree to disagree, with respect. I just share my opinions like anyone else and do not state them as fact. I watch like anyone else here and establish my own interpretation of what I see and hear and read. I am no more "right" than anyone else, nor they of me. We don't know any of these people and it is just a television show.

Seriously! I can imagine TPTB practically salivating at the idea of Nick being rejected by his frontrunner to become the 'Ette. It would have been the ultimate storyline for them IMO. They might have even offered her a contract on the spot if they thought this was a possibility. laugh out loud
