I don't understand why people think it's such a big deal that his parents were in NYC with him. Now that he's an adult, the relationship is probably less like parent/child and more like best friends since he has no siblings. IMO, his parents were probably there to spend some quality time outside of Warsaw with their son. Nothing wrong with that.

He instead brought his parents and headed out of Denver so soon after Lauren got home and left her there. Just bizarre IMO.
That's exactly why I was confused as to his parents being there. I could understand if Ben was there by himself, just a quick flight in and out, but why on earth does he need his parents there and in the audience with him? None of the other bachelors needed mommy and daddy in the audience not to mention Ben isn't the current bachelor anyway. It's truly beyond bizarre to me.

^ and to add to that, Ben had just been back from Indiana. It's not like he hasn't seen his parents in months. Also, they weren't there when him & Lauren appeared on GMA together months ago.. Weird IMO seeing as this wasn't even for him

Ben in NYC, mom & dad in the audience, Lauren in CO...sorry, looks and sounds like "problems in paradise" IMO. Pretty sure they are not allowed to announce anything without prior approval. If he couldn't comment on the relationship in the interview done last week (sorry don't remember specifics), I'm just not buying what he's trying to sell. I expect the announcement to come at the end of Nick's season. I honestly don't see why Lauren would want to stay.

He's probably seeing his mommy and daddy with such frequency for the support. I can't fault him too much for that. Some applaud Lauren, after all, for getting support from her mom and sister and (seemingly) increasing the amount of time she spends with them.

But that's just the thing. If he is spending quality time with his parents why on earth isn't he doing the same with his fiancee?
Makes no sense to me at all and I've really tried to make sense of it and give him the benefit of the doubt but that's fading fast...

Yeah, hanging out with someone you supposedly share a home and life with? Sure.
Have to say I'm not buying Ben's BS. He was giving his typical politician-like answers and totally overcompensating by talking all the time. Pretending to be happy, that's how it came across to me. I think it says something that his parents were there, but not his fiancée he's barely seen for over a month. What a man baby. JMO.

His parents might have come to be a buffer for the "where's lauren" questions which didn't actually come. he wasn't there alone...he was there with his parents

ITA ^ I think he probably thought GMA would ask him hard questions about his relationship with Lauren. I think he's forgetting that he isn't the Bachelor anymore. He probably thought mom and dad in the audience would give him extra confidence to answer those "tough" questions. Otherwise, I don't see why his parents were there to begin with.JMO

I have no sympathy left for Ben....he sold Lauren a pack of lies IMO. She tried....IMO he did not. In Ben's world it is all about little Benny's feelings. :babies:

IMO, it goes both ways. Lauren just went to Mexico with her mom & sister. I think a romantic beach vacation for her birthday vs. busy NYC for a Bachelor tv appearance would have been a better opportunity for them to getaway for some quality time together. Also, didn't Lauren recently "leave" Ben in CO for a girls trip to Nashville? That could have been another chance for a couples getaway or a weekend home together. IMO, it definitely seems like they're having problems, but I don't think we should be blaming Lauren or Ben for not making time for each other. We don't know their reasons.
Also, I don't think it's fair to say Ben left Lauren in CO and chose his parents instead. Maybe she couldn't go or didn't want to go? Maybe his parents have been wanting to visit NYC when he was on a show, but didn't go before because they didn't want to intrude on their relationship?
