Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #6

Ben has always been very politician-like to me since he was on K's season so his answers don't really mean anything to me since I'd think he would say the same thing no matter what. It's just who he is, IMO (which is one thing I never really cared for even on K's season as he always seemed scripted to me in how he carries himself - like he says the "right" thing because that's what he thinks the right thing to say is... but that's a whole other discussion).

That said, I still don't get why Ben's parents needed to be in the audience at GMA. It makes Ben look like he is still attached to the apron strings (maybe he is). Not a good look at all, IMO.

If Lauren is in Denver and Ben is in NYC, could she be packing up her stuff?

Given how little time they've spent together in the past two months, you would think they would have viewed this NY trip as a perfect opportunity for the two of them to head to NY together and spend a couple of days just having fun there.

He instead brought his parents and headed out of Denver so soon after Lauren got home and left her there. Just bizarre IMO.

It was interesting IMO in the video that Ben looked away from the camera when talking about Lauren and the breakup rumors but the rest of the time looked right into the camera.

The fact that Ben is with this Mommy and Daddy in NYC...says it all IMO.
Ben needs their validation...while he spouts his BS. If everything was "good" with Lauren....she would be with him instead of his parents. IMO Ben is a needy boy Not a grown up man.

Kudos to Lauren....at least she is honest that things between them are a struggle.

^^^^Ben was probably looking/reading at the cue cards his Mom was holding up for him regarding Lauren.

I remember lauren being annoyed that he would want to keep up public appearances that the wedding was still happening when they'd called the wedding off

the fact that he tweeted all was good and reiterated the same in GMA backstage while Lauren said "they're not perfect but they're trying" tells the whole story along with the appearance of ben's parents...

Ugh I agree. I remember Lauren getting annoyed that he acted like everything was perfect, and he puts on a façade. And then here he goes again saying everythings great, while she's saying "we're not perfect". Its so obvious they are done imo.

He has used the term "hang out" since the start of their engagement.

Maybe this is why the "engagement" is going the way it's currently going IMS (in my speculation).
