I assume moral support and maybe to spend more time together.  

It's not like they were intruding on SQT between Ben and Lauren.  

I just don't understand why he would need moral support on GMA.. He's not even the bachelor The segment wasn't even about him I just don't get that.. I wonder if they were/are going to hang out in NYC for a bit (with or without Ben.) Or maybe fly back to Denver with Ben (pray for Lauren if that's the case ) IMO.

@Lennoxcolinrolland someone already answered. He needs someone to tell him if he gave good answers and we've already seen Lauren is a failure on that front

I was sincerely interested if there was a reason given behind them being there and that they were shown to be there and mentioned by the hosts.

Given the situation and the current rumors, I find it really odd that Ben's parents are with him in NYC and at the GMA event while his fiancee is home by herself.

That was some major BS right there. Even his "better half" isn't trying that hard to prove there are no issues. She's all but admitted it. So to pretend everything is just wonderful... ummm... Ben should have stuck with the politics path. He was made for this kind of spin game.

There's no more " twinke in his eyes" when mentioning Lauren. I agree with whoever said he was about to say "visit Lauren" and quickly changed it to "hang". I don't even use the word "hanging out" seeing a boyfriend or fiancé that's more like a friendly word,IMO. Ben is weird..
