I am thinking that maybe it is just an acknowledgement that she saw and read the comments...maybe it is also a way of thanking the person on defending and standing for her!?

I dunno, I am just of the school of move on/don't hold grudges and don't buy into your own hype on SM.

I think establishing a SM relationship with followers can definitely be a learning curve. She'll grow weary of feeling like she is expected and SHOULD respond with likes soon enough, IMO.

I've seen nothing from Vanessa that says she disliked D Lo. What's crazier is that I have seen evidence there were no issues between Vanessa and D Lo. Vanessa obviously didn't understand why D Lo was sent packing. Liking Paco Zero's comment is much nicer than the finger I would have shot them! Yeah, no reality TV for me.

I agree that in general excessive liking of things annoys me especially since instagram now notifies of every single comment liked not just the posts now and I have noticed some excessive (IMO) instagram liking by Vanessa but mostly it's been towards the positive side. I don't take it as she is believing the hype around her and inflating her ego, more so, she is just acknowledging kindness and support toward her. She has liked some tweets directed at her telling her they hope she doesn't let it all go to her head as well, I think again IMO to assure people she isn't planning on losing herself in this new time of notoriety. I did have to squirm a bit at the like re Danielle L boring Nick but again I can only surmise it was more a like for Pacozero defending Vanessa vs it necessarily being about attacking Danielle. I do agree it would have been better to pick a different comment to like as Pacozero has been pretty good about defending Vanessa but maybe Nick's SM will rub off on her as they soon can spend as much time together as they want vs the sneaking around. In the scheme of things, it is definitely no worse than any of the other women on SM who have had their share of iffy likes and comments as well IMO.

yup definitely a learning curve. if nothing else, I think her fiance is a great resource for a SM 101 class on dealing with nasty people as he has had plenty of experience, probably more than anyone in Bachelor history (IMO). The fact that he has actually had some of those those who are not fans feel the need to respond and apologize is quite impressive as I don't really think he was even trying to coerce any of it .

Yeah it can definitely be annoying but I agree that eventually some get weary of it and stop. I followed this celebrity once on twitter who was the same when her fame was just rising. She would retweet and like every positive comment about her to where I eventually unfollowed her because I  just couldn't stand it. Especially since it would flood my timeline. But I check out her page off and on and realize that she's cooled considerably on that now.

I definitely think Vanessa should cool down a bit on the excessive liking. I agree it can be a slippery slope, especially when liking something that can be perceived as negative towards another contestant. Rihanna learned this the hard way just a few weeks ago. She liked a comment that she later noted that she only glanced at. But she saw a positive comment about her and didn't think past that. Except in praising her, the person also was putting Beyonce down. And of course you know the rabid fanbases noticed and drama ensued.

Personally my belief is always to never engage - positive or negative. Sure you can maybe like a positive comment or two but always best to separate that side it from yourself. IMO of course.

That's exactly why I wasn't liking it as much and posted about her likes. It's also not the only one like that she's liked (although the others aren't as blunt). No matter how I look at it, I just saw it as unnecessary to like that one in particular. 

That said, I like her and I know she's far from perfect... I just hope she is someone that can articulate this about herself and doesn't buy into any hype about herself. It's why I never put any any of these contestants on a pedestal no matter how much I like them.

I think Vanessa normally doesn't like so many comments. The musical performance photo is probably the only one where she has liked almost every other comment IMO. I hope she refrains from the excessive likes.

Things did get bad with the SM comments esp. after Danielle's following tweet. If someone fans the flames, I think Vanessa is within her rights to defend herself whichever way she sees fit. All JMO.

Yeah I really think they need to give all contestants a crash course on SM as Danielle is also fueling it based on that tweet and I highly doubt she is not aware of RS accusing Vanessa of talking bad about Danielle. However that being said, they flat out showed Taylor and Whitney questioning Danielle's motives on air yet it seems because RS said so most fans are convicting Vanessa as the one who bad mouthed her.

I'm over Danielle L being butthurt over Nick eliminating her. Nick is the type to not care about what other people say about someone he's interested in. It's his views of that person over yours. He let Danielle L go because he wasn't feeling her not because Vanessa said so or anyone else for that matter. JMO

SLightly off topic from the current convo but the thing I still find interesting is that we're midway through the season and Vanessa was allegedly this villain while filming the show, yet we haven't really seen it on air and none of the tabloids have ran stories mentioning it. Given the fact that Us Weekly has had sources rumored to be connected to the show themselves, I'm surprised they haven't mentioned it. I know people think they could be protecting Vanessa because she's most likely F1, but Vienna and Courtney were F1 in their seasons and they weren't super protected. It makes me wonder what's real and what's not. And there's a twitter account saying not to trust Vanessa's edit so what's going on with her?
