@Catdwoman50 It's weird how they showed Rachel's convo with him being frustrated but they couldn't show Vanessas or even Ravens. I'm sure V was frustrated. Was it too obvious the way Nick reassured her this past week compared to Rachel's that they just had to hide his convo with V?

I dont remember her exact words but in a PI last week Van was saying how the next few weeks were going to be tough ...which to me indicated that she was quite confident that she'd still be there...so something must happen when theyre together for her to feel that way...Nick either says it in words or actions ..lbut she knows how attracted he is to her

Him assuring Vanessa and showing his raw emotion towards her does not fit the story line of Nick "maybe not finding love."  Because truly I believe he knew and she knew that he did (and too obvious for the audience not to know if shown so they had to cut it - we got what 5 seconds of them?) So I am confident that like Rachel and Raven, there were reassurances to Vanessa that would have continued a storyline that started since their 1-1 date.  Note that in as much as Vanessa had always had a date (she never got a group date rose) - I truly believe that they had an understanding and for her not to worry (the reassurance may have been verbal or something else).  The fact that she was anticipating going through more weeks of the same, is another "tell" that she had expectations - chopped up it looks like she is overly confident. Or has Nick given her reassurances (yellow bracelet) that we haven't seen? Another tell, on Vanessa's ITM she was worried that Nick was beginning to question their relationship (after he barged in the room - Vanessa wearing same black shirt, I think when she did that ITM at that time (others are speculating she followed Nick, I think she was asked to do an ITM) - leads me to believe that they have an understanding and something is rocking the boat.  

So IMO Vanessa was worried, but I think that the Bimini date will re-establish her confidence.

Raven's reassurance if we believe the blogs (CH top 5 most especially) would have shown a true friendship in the works, IMO, because perhaps it was Raven who reassured him  - I believe this is the reason she will go to F2.  In a time when he had struggled within himself, Raven was the one who helped him through it.  We've said we haven't seen the sparks we've seen with Rachel or Vanessa, I think it's because in Raven he found a true friend. I also think that there was an attraction to Raven that wasn't shown - note that Raven has said ILY - why didn't he eliminate her at the time if he didn't have a semblance of feelings for her.  It is possible, since Raven said it so nonchalantly that Nick didn't really think it was a true confession of ILY.  I choose to believe the former.

Vanessa was in the losing team...her expectation was to be sent back to the hotel...and, to spend her time there with no interaction with Nick. I think her frustrations had reached its peak because she was losing confidence and patience not knowing if Nick still felt the same...

If Vanessa's confidence is 100%, she wouldn't have been crying...regardless, getting reassurances through words when the actions are not saying the same, it will be quite tough to follow through...Vanessa knows quite well that this a competition for Nick's heart, and anything can happen and things can fall apart...spending more time together will strengthen their relationship...but, if she is always with the losing team due to some lousy games, then she will never get that chance to be with him...this is based on Vanessa not knowing that Nick would still keep them regardless of them losing in the game...

@Skates - so are you saying that she was never reassured as speculated, otherwise she would have been 100% confident and shouldn't doubt? Or are you agreeing with me that because it is a competition she had doubts, nonetheless?

Because IA that this is a competition and that she probably realized that in as much as she has been reassured up to that point, there are doubts about his actions, his relationships with other girls - and doubts were creeping in.  Hence the "not shown" reassurance that night with her - because it would have been obvious that they had an understanding.  But this is speculation and not the supposed truth, so just wanting to understand your point

Dear goodness, no wonder they aren't showing Vanessa and Nick. They melt the screen!!!

Interesting note that during RS podcast with Courtney Robertson she states she has mutual friends with Nick and one of Nick's good friends told her he picked Vanessa.

Nothing we didn't already know but it's nice to add to the clue list.

From here on out, they had better devote AT LEAST 15/20 minutes MINIMUM of QT Nick/Vanessa time per episode to make up for this total hack job earlier in the season.
