Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

It's the hanging out with Bachelor alums all the time that bugs me with Lauren. The HEA show had enough of that ffs. Is it that hard to find normal friends outside of the Bachelor bubble and Ben's friends in Denver? Social media is only making these Bachelor folks think they are all celebs. JMO

Still catching up on the thread. This is such a good thought that I didn't consider, perhaps all this traveling around and being gone is her way of punishing and freezing him out as a form of passive aggressive retribution for the canceled wedding. So maybe this is why Ben "thinks" they're not broken up because he hasn't been explicitly told they're broken up but the (passive aggressive) writing is on the wall.

It definitely feels like Lauren's SM is intentional. What the intention is exactly, I'm not sure, but no way is she oblivious to how it looks. JMO. If they are still trying, then it might help if they actually spent some time together. It doesn't appear as though absence is making their hearts grow fonder. Oh well.

I have always like both of them and love them together.  Yes, they have a lot of differences personality wise, but always seemed like they always (IMO) loved each other and be the Yin to the other one's Yang.  It does seem, IMO, that they are having problems, but I hope they are able to work things out.  They seemed like they were so in love and happy together, now I'm not sure.  Sad for them!!!

Lauren is the one IMO who made all the changes to be with Ben. I understand from reading here, she was very hurt during HEA when he dropped the no wedding bomb. It appears to me she has always given more than 50% of the relationship. What if Ben still has cold feet and won't commit to a wedding, or he's not sure if he ever wants to get married, and maybe he's the one that needs the break. Lauren says screw it. She's had enough. She will do the things that makes her happy, and if that's alone, then so be it. Until he figures out what he wants to do, stay together, or go their separate ways.

This is the vibe I'm getting because she looks far too happy if they made the decision to split and have to wait till it can be formally announced. I would think she would stay out of the media and out of public, but what do I know. I don't have D list celebrity status and I'm not aware of what the proper protocol would be in this situation.

In the past we've seen miserable or somber SM pics from others who shortly after ended up splitting as speculated by many.

I don't get how Lauren was the one with a foot out of the door from the start, when she packed her stuff and moved to Denver. She's the one who gave up her job. She's the one who build a social circle for herself in Denver. But still that all isn't enough. How?

Lauren just spent time in Denver with her friends from before the show, and then with her mother and sister. Good for her for making friends from thr show too.

IMO it feels like whatever Lauren does, she's somehow manipulative, playing games and enjoying the negative attention. JMO.

As I said yesterday, ppl try to put up a facade to make ppl believe they're happy. And they not only do it to convince those ppl, but to convince themselves. What I always heard, "If you're sad. Smile and laugh. Smiling and laughing can trick yourself into thinking you're happy." IMO.

I thought Lauren gave up her job because she thought it's not safe to carry out her duties after she's now famous? IIRC, she didn't give up the job for Ben.

IMO she gave up her airline stewardess job because it wasn't safe with all the fans asking for pics. If I was a passenger I'd be concerned that she was distracted from carrying out her duties to please fans.
