I remember when Chelsea, Matt Grants' F2 put her Meet n Greet dress up on eBay and it was yanked fast. Production reached out the long arm.
Then she threatened to spill about her experience and that was yanked fast per suggestion from her attorney. Years ago by TB standards.
They (tptb) don't need a Jake and Vienna. How many have they had? One? that says it all.
Since then quite a few couples have "waited" until optimal timing. When you live by shilling you might think twice about biting the had that feeds you. JMOAA

IMO, I don't think it's all Ben's fault IF they're done. Lauren isn't the girl she appeared to be on the show and I think she's much more high maintenance than he thought. Ben seems like a low key kind of guy. Yes, going on multiple reality shows would make you think otherwise, but I think he was genuinely trying to find love, so he wanted to do whatever it would take. The whole HEA show might make it questionable, but what if they were told they had to do it in order to get a televised wedding? IMO anyone in their position would do it because Bachelor weddings are amazing. Also, they were in the honeymoon phase when they signed on, so I believe they really wanted to get married back then. Ben may have been hesitant during HEA, but maybe that's because he finally started seeing the real Lauren. It's crazy how much she has changed from filming to now. This is obviously all JMO.

^^  ITA.  It's like she is a completely different person.  Now, she is so thin it's almost painful.  As Ed Rodgers said "Fame changes people."  Jmoaa.

I think unfortunately they're just not a match. I never saw it on the show. I just saw two people who were infatuated with each other and the idea of each other. That's how most relationships start off, but I never saw it grow during his season. It had little to no depth. I never saw him really just even ask her anything of importance. I know the show shows us what they want us to see, but with just about every other lead that I have seen in action, they've had some tough and thoughtful conversations with their F1. All JMO

I always go back to Des. Lust and infatuation can only take you so far. You need the foundation of friendship. Luckily fate kind of stepped in there for her. These two will both be fine though. It will be interesting to see how this all goes down.

It's 7pm ET where I am and here I thought that a nice, thoughtful, sincere, loving bday post would be posted by Ben by now but nope. He's so cold! "show her off" "date her well" must have been just vomit words from Ben huh?

I don't think Lauren has changed. Her IG posts before the Bachelor are basically the same traveling, family, friends, concerts, drinking etc Lauren we know for the past month (interesting right? )
All she did was basically move her Cali life for Denver life with Ben. I do think Lauren's snaps are very annoying though.That's my only complaint about her to be quite honest.  
Ben is the one who went from "I'm ready to marry this woman tomorrow" to having cold feet and having tantrums about the stupidest things. Ben doesn't like to compromise, IMO. He wants his way and if Lauren doesn't agree he likes to throw hissy fits. Not so "perfect Ben" after all.

I see the same Lauren today that I saw pre sleuthing Ben's season. She may have refined her makeup skills...but still the same Lauren. IMO Ben lacks self awareness and a mature grownup relationship understanding. If Ben was not CERTAIN he was ready to marry Lauren in spite of his proposals and I'd marry her tomorrow declarations.... Ben should never have agreed to HEA....and proceeded to publicly humiliate Lauren for a second time. Ben's lame a$$ excuse of why he called off the wedding was ridiculous. Even his SM post from yesterday that he feels the same way he did about Lauren from his season airing....Lame. IMO Ben was very very fortunate that Lauren loved him enough to try to make the relationship work after Ben's refusal to accept responsibility for the pain he inflicted on both Lauren and JoJo for the double ILY fiasco. IMO Ben thinks of Ben first and foremost. Relationships require compromise...and IMO that does not come easy to Ben.
Ben is probably worried because they are going to have to chisel him off Rushmore.

This is the same Lauren I saw too, who I could never warm up to. Why Ben thought this completely air-headed valley girl could be made into a housewife in CO is a remarkable question with no answer IMO. He might as well have chosen one of the Twins IMO.

Lauren got such a sweet birthday message from her sister... Ben's birthday wishes are looking even worse in comparison IMO.

I was a fan of them on their season in as much as I thought they were a good match. They definitely aren't my kind of people, but they seemed well suited to each other. I probably thought that because they were both not my kind of people, so they must be each others kind of people. Stopped caring or reading about them after Ben's 24 hour stint in politics.

Anyway, just chiming in to say that I'm not surprised there is trouble in paradise. IMO, I don't see how he can expect her to repeatedly suffer public humiliation and stay in this. There was the Jojo ILY, the politics misfire, and then the publicly calling off the wedding. He needs to get it together, IMO.

I wouldn't stick around if I was her. That said, I'm absolutely expecting to see them on the next Marriage Boot Camp or Marriage Therapy or whatever the name of that show is...the one that has had a few Bachelor couples on it.

I have a question, not trying to be snark.

How do we know it's all Ben's idea to call off the engagment during HEA?
How do we know it wasn't Lauren's? Or at least, she has to agree with the plot before the scene actually being filmed?

Well, IMO, just moderating the threads and not favoring any of them or not favoring any of them, we don't know.
And honestly, as always consistent with me, does it matter? Either  they make it or they don't.  Seriously, if Trista and Ryan decided to call it quits after all this time, does it make those who liked/disliked Trista/Ryan or Charlie more right? Just curious.
And btw, that was not taken as snark but good discussion.
