@emusha, I agree with your analysis. Lauren is pretty reserved and even aloof, and seems to shut down when there's conflict. I can't really knock her for that since I can very much relate, but I can't see her personality being a good fit with someone as insecure and neurotic (IMO) as Ben. Ben needs verbal and non-verbal validation, someone who giggles at his jokes and brushes off his insecure moments with humour. Being with a person who shuts down emotionally just breeds insecurity and paranoia in him. I think Lauren could learn to be more verbal and to show more acceptance, but not when she's feeling insecure herself, which I suspect she has been ever since the wedding postponement. Neither of them can grow or move forward when they're just feeding each other's insecurities. JMO. I think Ben would be better off with someone more "warm" and expressive, and Lauren would be better off with a man who's secure in his own skin and can make her feel safe to be herself and make her lighten up. Not saying they can't make it work if they try really hard, but I personally suspect it's not worth it. No one should have to change themselves too much for a relationship, since there are plenty more fish in the sea. Love shouldn't feel like work. All JMO.

This is why I wish Lauren herself would give some sort of statement and a heartfelt one if they are fine. From the comments I'm seeing, a lot of people thought Ben was just trying to save face given how cold his statement was along with his birthday wish. A statement might not satisfy everyone, but I think a heartfelt one will limit a lot of this hate and questioning right now. IMO

It must really be crappy having to deal with this much hate and questioning.

TBH a comment would further excite the trolls. That's exactly what they want. I'd ignore them and close off the comments.

Yeah. IMO it doesn't matter what Lauren says. People are gonna have a field day and rag on her regardless.

A lot of these people don't seem like trolls. A lot of the names I'm seeing are names that used to defend Ben and Lauren to death

I don't follow Lauren too closely but she seems to have the most those who are not fans from anyone in this franchise.. Someone explain why?

I get why these fans want "closure." They spent time following them, all their "likes" and "clicks" have allowed B+L to live a reality nice life not working and now that they're done (IMO), all of the sudden they're trolls? As a fan, I'd want the deets too

Yup. And a lot of those fans would snap at anyone who tried to say anything negative, now they're actually suspicious/worried that there's actually negative things going on IMO.
