Re: Survivor - South Pacific - Discussion - Spoilers
The scoreboard and recap is up.
It certainly was the Brandon show tonight. That guy is really out of control. He is his own worst enemy. LOL hard for any of them to strategize with him spilling the beans all the time.
Looks like the spoiler eliminations we had are pretty wrong. LOL they had Rick first and he is barely on the horizon. I think he really only showed up tonight when Jeff asked him a question at tribal LOL.

Yeah, the spoilers are off, but let's look at this carefully with my comments in red. Feel free to correct me in my observations and add more.

Out before MERGE:
Rick- still here... Oops! Also must work for the mob since he is Find Waldo.
Semhar- GONE
Christine- Redemption Island
Sophie- who is she?
Jim- planning to take out Ozzy... uh oh. You know that will backfire.
Elyse- has trouble with her tribe?
John Cochran*- SEE BELOW. Plotting with Jim... maybe. Spoilers also suggest that he helps pagong Coach's tribe
MARK CARUSO (Papa Bear) med-evac right after merge (at camp im told)- OK. After Redemption, they are at a "camp". This is where the medical emergency takes place.
Out AFTER merge (Upolu "pagonging"):
Edna- Coach's private secretary
Stacey- Oops! Got that one wrong. She is at Redemption Island already. OK... she must get Christine out and succeeds against a couple more I'm guessing. Maybe she LEAVES the show at this point after defeating everybody but John Cochran?
Albert*- see below
Brandon- ***THE STAR OF THE SHOW*** and probably subject to the most attention on finale night in December
Coach- Well... he makes it to the mid-point at least. Most Dramatic Tribal Ceremony Ever?
Mikayla- Very strong at challenges, like Albert. May or may not be the last to go from Coach's tribe, apart from Al. Lasts as long as LustfulAttracted To Evil Wimmin'Brandon, by the looks of it
Ozzy- Key Star who loses out to his tribemates
Make FINAL FIVE.
John Cochran (originally Ozzy's team, gets voted off and comes back after merge)- OK. Clearly they are giving him as much screen attention as Brandon. The spoilers say he helps pagong Coach's tribe after returning from Redemption Island. It is quite obvious that both the editors and Jeff Probst like him.
Keith (originally Ozzy's team)- UNDER THE RADAR; constantly with Whitney
FINAL THREE.
ALBERT DESTRADE (originally Coach's team, gets voted off and comes back at F5): Three times they have shown his face when Jeff uses the word "Redemption Island". Yes, he goes, but he is one of the last in his tribe to do so AND makes it back to land a 3 in 1 shot of winning the season. Despite limited screentime, he is getting the "classic" final one edit (along with Dawn), shown strategically in each challenge and called out by name by Jeff. What is going against him is the jury, which, according to spoilers, would feature more from Ozzy's tribe than his original one. Then again, MAYBE not if a bunch are booted that late? However, one spoiler suggests that Ozzy saves him at one tribal council... no clue on the details there. It was also reported that his athletic ability helps him win three (?) individual challenges and THAT helps get him to final 3.
Dawn (originally Ozzy's team)- Along with Albert, she is also getting a potential final one edit. In her case, she has a LOT more screen time and did well at ONE challenge so far She may not do as well later, but they are giving her a sympathetic storyline (i.e. crying in the beginning, but getting over it... and feeling she is too "old"... um... yeah. You are only in your 40s, lady!) Basically, she and Albert are the two to watch IF... and only IF... the spoilers are correct with the final three.
Whitney (originally Ozzy's team)- UNDER THE RADAR and constantly with Keith. It is obvious how she gets to this position... a mini-alliance with Keith (and romance from the gossip mill) Red flag against her winning is VERY limited screentime, but Sandra didn't much her second winning season either. Albert doesn't get much screentime and COULD be on equal footing with her, but Jeff always mentions him by name and the camera showcases him in the challenges, just not in the tribal "drama".

Re: Survivor - South Pacific - Discussion - Spoilers
From Reality Steve's blog for today...
I guess he only recently discovered that Whitney and Keith were an "item". Actually the Survivor Sucks forum had a whole thread on the happy couple for a while, but Steve has recently been occupied with Ben Flajnik lately and is quite surprised about that one!
I didn't know the other info given here, however. Guess the Brandon vs. Mikayla saga has a whole new angle to it now...

“Survivor”
I’ve never been one to give out spoilers on this show because frankly, I don’t want to be spoiled. “Bachelor/ette” and “Bachelor Pad” are the only three shows I spoil because I don’t care about the end result. I know there are spoilers out there for “Survivor”, but I just choose not to look at them. Kinda easy to avoid. I get that even if people don’t read my site, they could still come across spoilers since so many other sites run with my information. But sorry, that’s just 2011. People are obsessed with the Bachelor franchise’s spoilers, and since for the last 5 seasons I’ve pretty much nailed every detail of what’s going to happen on it long before it does, word gets around. Case in point, I told you all that Ashley chose JP two months before the finale aired. And what happened during those two months? We see the paparazzi following JP around NY, taking pics of him walking to work, on the subway, etc. That’s unbelievable to me. If I were to tell you who won Survivor this season (even though I have no clue), do you think any paparazzi would be following that person around trying to get pictures? Of course not. Yet, Survivor has been on just as long, and averages about 2-3 more million viewers a week than the “Bachelor/ette” does. Crazy.
This isn’t really a spoiler, but thanks to our good friend and former Vanuatu and Fans vs Favorites contestant Eliza Orlins (who you can follow on Twitter at: @eorlins where she live tweets during the show), she has given me this little nugget. Remember back in the episode where Ozzy told Keith he had the idol because he said he could trust him, and then immediately Keith went running to tell Whitney? I made a comment that the only reason he’d break Ozzy’s trust that quickly and tell someone else, who just happened to be the best looking girl on this season, was probably because he wanted to get in her pants. Well, I was right. Eliza tells me that Keith and Whitney have been dating ever since the show ended filming and are practically joined at the hip. So don’t be surprised if the finale rolls around and we see another proposal, a la Rob and Amber and David and Carolina. I know, right? Who? That was pretty random when two people no one really cared about ended up getting engaged at the finale. David? Carolina? Uhhhh, hope all is well. So thanks for the info Eliza. We will be hearing more from her on RealitySteve.com in the upcoming months.
I’m sorry, but last night’s episode was incredibly boring for some reason. Usually the slower episodes happen pre-merge just because those people who are on the chopping block are never major factors in the game. And they are usually the ones at the bottom of the totem pole in their tribe. So it’s like we gotta fight through the first few episodes every season until the merge before the real game playing begins. Last night was one of those episodes. I’m sorry, but the BIG decision of who’s the lesser of two evils, Stacey or Edna, just wasn’t all that intriguing. The Redemption Island challenge was throwing a bean bag onto a stand. Yawn. And the Immunity/Reward challenge was something we’ve seen in seasons past. Now, for the life of me, I have no idea how Stacey was holding that pole in the middle of her back in the position she was in. That was bizarre. But nonetheless, you kinda could see Dawn was gonna end up winning when in the first half of the episode she kept talking about how she was the underdog, and she feels old in the tribe, and she needs to do something to stand out, then all the sudden the immunity is down to her and Stacey and she wins out. Not at all surprising.
And thanks to our Survivor blogger, Scott Ottersen (whose column is currently posted), I was made aware last week that Mikayla has been in Playboy. Usually I’m on the ball with stuff like that, but for some reason, I never thought to think that maybe a chick in the Lingerie Football League would have once been on the cover of Playboy. Silly me. Thanks for the heads up, Scott. I enjoyed doing a little more “research” on her. Fascinating stuff. Maybe that was the whole reason why Brandon flips out every time he’s around her. He must know that she’s been in Playboy, but the editors never let us see that conversation. And in Brandon’s world, Playboy = the devil. Which is why he’s conflicted about hanging around her and her tight little body. It’s ok Brandon. I hope since you’ve gotten home from filming, you’ve released some of your tension to Mikayla’s Playboy spread. I sure have. Or haven’t.

Re: Survivor - South Pacific - Discussion - Spoilers
OK… Contradictory Spoilers To Add And Confuse Us All…
Like the above, this was posted pre-show and, unlike the above, has been accurate with the first two booties.
http://www.realitytvspoilers.net/2011/09/survivor-23-south-pacific-boot-list.html
The suggestion is that the wrong team gets wiped out mid-season. Instead the final three are: Brandon/Coach/Sophie.
OK... my vibe is that something is wrong here. Although Brandon is rumored to make it very far (and has a dehydration problem), there are comments on messageboards like survivorskills.com indicating that he leaves before final 3 and these were posted in August.
Yet another list on FORT has the following final 3: Albert/Rick/Coach. Now, I can easily see Coach making it per both of these lists, but find it strange that we would have two returning players succeed in subsequent seasons. Neither Sophie nor Rick has had much screentime. However, we now have two out of three spoilers including Albert.
Ohhhh... welllll. Just have to WATCH the show and continue speculatin'

Thanks, but you can see we are all back to Ground Zero of knowing nothing! :P
The Amazing Race spoilers are more consistent with the final four being (drag your mousie): Jeremy Cline/Sandy Draghi, Andy Finch/Tommy Czeschin, Lawrence & Zac Sunderland and Cindy Chiang/Ernie Halvorsen. Of course, that spoiler could be wrong too.
One good thing for Whitney fans here: she may not be the winner, but there are plenty of rumors suggesting she got something else (er somebody else) out of the experience...

Re: Survivor - South Pacific - Discussion - Spoilers
10/12 Tweets... kinda blah. I see Jeff is getting as potty-mouthed as Russell here, but still pretending to ignore him.
@JeffProbst
Brandon continues to wear his heart on his sleeve. You have to remember he is alone. No family. It can be overwhelming
Benjamin. Coach hates that!
STacey is awesome! What a speech. Budding actors - USE THIS as your monologue for auditions!
Who said it? "the ocean is my canvas and the fish are my palette!"
I love this challenge. So simple. Major concentration required. STacey paid no attention.
albert finally showing some emotion.
it's always a risk to leave your tribe. Even when you're the one with info, it's still risky.
oh yeah you can COUNT on me calling him Benjamin at the live show!
oh-oh.... did Ozzy just make a mistake?
and with that tiny comment, the game may have just changed. And "drinking game pay off!' JIM said it!
(Albert finding idol clue) A. is somebody gonna find it? B. Who? C. Will they keep it or share it?
Benjamin gettin serious.
Benjamin! Benjamin! Benjamin! I love Coach.
back to the show... I LOVE me some Cochran and the drinking game pays off again - pour one back if you said Cochran!
total fish out of water experience - so to speak.
look at that footage. Amazing. And Ozzy truly is a rarity That is not easy - very very tough.
no matter how hard Cochran tries... he is still out of his element.
man that one sucks to lose. Plus Upolu gets to take back all that meat.
there were a lot of injuries in that challenge. Even when we rehearsed, a dreamteamer lost a tooth.
Ah little Cochran. So proud of himself. Do you think cochran is going to get a girlfriend as a result of this show?
anybody here interested in dating Cochran?
cochran getting some love. wow. Well, he'll be in LA at the live show. In December. Just sayin.
we have a swing vote situation - keith and whitney -- which way will they go? Stay with Ozzy or turn on him?
Cochran is smart, cute, and gaining confidence.Geeks are highly dateable. Give him my twitter ;)
not only is cochran gaining confidence, he's getting downright sopranoish -- will he survive the vote? Who is going home?
Cochran or Elise? the consensus is Cochran. I hope you're wrong. No offense elyse, but Cochran is one of a kind. Be a bummer.
Is ozzy in charge or in troube....
Oh-oh. Blindside. Ozzy is once again... in trouble.
Damn I LOVE how fast this game can change. It's a great game. Great format. So happy I'm a part of it. Awesome tribal!
What is Ozzy doing? He is losing it. Man. Free agent? WTF?
@russsellhantz
@brandonhantz Don't don't don't... Oh Brandon, cried again.
@JeffProbst Blue balls, Jeff. Really?
Mikayla is so cute! But... I can't smell her from here.
Christine: Easy there, Hillary Clinton.
@JeffProbst @russellhantz ★New drinkin' game: every time you hear someone say "Russell" take a shot!
@the_real_coach Take it easy, Benjamin. (F*** with me please, I'll make you famous.)
@JeffProbst Next season: Russell Hantz vs Jeff Probst. Never mind, Jeff is too pretty. He can't handle it out there.
@JeffProbst How come Amazing Race wins the Emmy? You know we kicked their ass in 19 and 20. Not so much in 23 :/
Cochoran- so you're saying you're a zero?
F*** the bread, eat the pork! How long we got, Jeff? Let's just stay and eat.
The winner should be able to eat the chewed meat.
Upolu won, we dont get to see @brandonhantz cry again.
@JeffProbst You better show them eating it, mr executive producer.
Thats what I'm talking about. Eat the dirty spit meat, bitches!
I don't know about you Cochoran, but I don't have herpes. Last time I checked. Sorry,
This sucks that they won, I wanted to see @iLuvMiki more. Now all I have to look at is Whitney, and she's a 7. Okay, maybe 7.5
I love Lynn, stop! "@survivorshannon: @russellhantz I know! Sucks u shud of Told me about u and Lynne and I Wud have strapped Up!"
Cochoran: technically, you're a nerd.
Hes the smartest mother f***er on there. You can get a disease from someone's mouth, Keith, dumbass!
It just dawned on me, it is dawn that looks like Hillary Clinton.

@JeffProbst Hi

Didn't want to disturb any virgin ears tonight. Copied some tweets, but didn't get them all censored right away. They may be getting too vile these days... I may have to stop posting them. (Sometimes, they can be quite funny though.)

Re: Survivor - South Pacific - Discussion - Spoilers
Thanks JBF. Jeff Probst is a wildman. He makes Chris Harrison look like a saint. Still cannot get 'into' any of these people on this show. I find them all incredibly boring or annoying. I don't care what happens to them, so it's like background sound on my TV, while I do other things. Ozzy is a big letdown this season, was looking so forward to him. Where did his personality go? And Coach makes me want to gag, just like the last time he was on Survivor.

Re: Survivor - South Pacific - Discussion - Spoilers
Hands down, my favorite shot was Ozzy snoozing in his hammock as Cochran commented on his "middle aged" persona. Cochran is a lot of fun and you just know he and Jim will put up a battle before going down. Both would have been better suited to Big Brother though.
I like Albert because his facial expressions are as much fun to watch as Ryan Park's. For a poker player and baseball coach (with a voice much like Ali's Robbbbberto), he hardly has a "game face". You instantly know what he is thinking at all times! (While I find his face amusing, most of the women posting on the SS forum are focused on his "bottom half"... don't EVEN ask!)
Alas... he was ssssoooooooooo under the radar (like Whitney, Sophie, Keith and especially Rick) for four episodes and finally emerged this time... as Coach's "assistant" who can't do things himself. Ugh!!! Over on the Survivor Sucks forum, Al is essentually judged a "no-chancer", destined to go not long after the merge. Most are pretty much convinced that Coach has it in the bag this season... or Dawn (aka Mrs. Brady) or under-the-radar Sophie (the brainy calculating one who teams a lot with Al). Maybe Brandon becomes the runner up.
However, there are spoiler leaks... unconfirmed of course and possibly false... suggesting that Al goes to Redemption Island and comes back in the final 5. Regardless, it is interesting that THREE times either Jeff or Coach mentioned the word "Redemption Island" and the camera panned on his face. He was critical of Stacey's timing and lack of concentration on her challenge and Jeff echoed the same in an above tweet. Even more interesting, last week we had Jeff's use of RI spoken over a shot of BOTH Stacey and Al. In his introduction video (pre-season), he is the only one mentioning the possibility that Redemption could give him a second chance. The key word "pagonged" is also used ONLY by him, so far. (Several spoilers suggest that Cochran helps pagong ONE group, although there is debate as to which one.)
This is what makes reading other forums so interesting. Most don't bother with shows like The Bachelor(ette)/Pad and are not viewing Survivor with the same "eyes" used to figuring out "final ones" or "final twos", rose ceremony positions or any of that other Harrison-oriented "stuff". They base their observations on amount of face-time a character gets (and most would have predicted Bentley as Ashley's guy), positive versus negative edits (as if that matters with Survivor), key "winner" quotes and take the voice-overs very, very seriously, not tongue-in-cheek as potential "franken-bytes". Who is to say that Burnett isn't taking lessons from Fleiss?
Sandra (her second season) was under the radar and "Fabio" acted as a complete idiot with NO game play until after merge time. All Sandra did was sit on her duff criticizing Russell... and she did the exact same thing at the final tribal and won. This season, people like Al and Sophie are Coach's "shadows" but we can't just assume that when he falls, they will as well. Whitney and Keith are clearly a combined package that will only go far if they are together. Many on these forums also assume if a person does not get a PI in the first episode, they will NOT win Survivor just as when the Bachelor(ette) lead does not PI on a contestant (as Ashley didn't with Ben or Constantine) then his/her chances of being final one are shot.
Ahhhh... but rules are meant to be broken.
Of course, those I would like to see make it to the end never do, so I'll just "assume" like everybody else that Al won't make it, but be happy if he does. Dawn would be a long-shot also, but I'll be game to a win by her. My gut feeling though... *Gulp*... it will be Coach and they are simply editing this season like a train wreck.
