Immunity/Reward Challenge
Sitting out for Upolu tribe - Edna

The reward - blankets, a hammock, mat, cushions and a clue to the hidden immunity idol.

The challenge - 4 team members had to unwind cloth ropes braided around a high pole to release a key that would untie the other 4 members who had to slide large boxes around a puzzle board until they could free the largest box and take it out to a platform on the side.

Upolu led the pole part and were well ahead in the puzzle part but Savali came from behind.

Pre Elimination
Coach wanted to eliminate Christine because he felt that she might have the immunity idol. Brandon confessed to Coach that he was Russel Hantz's cousin. Brandon wanted to eliminate Makayla because he felt that she was another "Parvati" and would be a temptation to him as a good Christian married man. He told Coach that Christine and Staci wanted to eliminate Makayla.

Elimination Council
Coach stated that Christine and Stacie wanted to vote out Makayla and that he did not. Christine and Stacie denied it and said that they had never talked strategy to Coach and asked who had told him that. Albert said it was not him. Brandon admitted that he was the one that wanted Makayla out but he did not say why.

Week 3 September 28th Survivor Recap

Redemption Island Challenge
Between Sempar from Savali and Christine from Upolo
attended by Ozzy and Elyse from Savali and Coach and Stacie from Upolo
The girls had to balance a wooden idol on the end of a pole and at intervals add another section to the pole. While holding the pole with 3 sections. Sempar dropped the idol and was the first member to be sent home. Christine goes back to Redemption Island camp to wait for the next contestant to be eliminated and challenge her.

Immunity Idols
Savali - Ozzy revealed to Keith that he had the immunity idol and asked him not to tell anyone...Keith told Whitney.

Upolo - not much was said about the immunity idol.

Immunity/Reward Challenge
The Reward
Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Sugar, Creamer, Cookies and an immunity idol clue

The Challenge
One team member had to race down a pontoon track carrying a body board attached to a rope. He had to reach a platform where 5 bags containing banners were hung. Once he had a bag he had to jump in the water on the body board and 4 members of the tribe turned a huge crank to reel him back to shore. Once he was on shore he had to put the bag in a wicker basket. After all 5 bags were brought back..two tribe members had to use a grappling hook from above a wooden wall to snag the baskets, remove the banners and hang them in the right order to form their tribe flag.

Upolo was off to an early lead but Savali passed them. On the final leg to get the bags, Ozzy fell off his board and the time he spent trying to swim to catch back up to it gave Upolo enough momentum to recapture the lead.

Before Tribal Council
At Upolo Brandon reveals to his tribe that he is Russell Hantz's nephew...but says he is not like Russell at all. The tribe has decided to keep a close eye on him. Brandon and Makayla have a confrontation when she confronts Brandon to ask him why he doesn't like her and wants her out of the game. Brandon stresses out about not being a good christian because of the lying and anger he has shown.
At Savali Papa Bear (Mark) and Cochrane talk about how they are outcasts and wonder which one of them will go home tonight and which one will go on the next tribal council. Papa Bear decides that he will be the one eliminated and that his only hope is to find the hidden immunity idol. He races out into the forest and looks for it but does not find it so decides to make a fake idol and stuff it in his pants to make the others think that he has found it.

At Tribal Council
Papa Bear talks about how the tribe is split with he, Dawn and Cochrane on the outside and the other 5 in an alliance. The vote is held and Papa Bear is voted out and sent to Redemption Island

Week 4 Survivor October 5 Survivor Recap

The Challenge
Throw sand bags at 10 crates and land them on top of each one. The first one to get a sand bag on each crate wins.

Mark was off to a slow start but caught up to Christine and it was neck and neck down to the wire but Christine got her 10th one on first.

REWARD/IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Reward - A rooster, 2 hens and a clue to the immunity idol.

The Challenge
Each team had to provide 2 men and 1 woman to hold a pole across their shoulders while weighted bags were added to each end of the pole. Members of the opposite team would choose which person would receive the bags in each round. The last person standing would win for their team.

Both teams chose to load up the male team members and get them out first, leaving the two ladies to battle for the winning spot.

Keith went out first with 180 lbs
Albert went out second with 220 lbs
Jim went out third with 240 lbs
Brandon went out 4th with 240 lbs
Stacey went out 5th with 140 lbs
Dawn was the last one standing with 140 lbs and won for Savali

Immunity Idols - nothing was really said about the idols tonight. Ozzy still has his hidden and Christine still has her clue.

PREVIOUS TO TRIBAL COUNCIL

Everyone gets new bathing suits in tree mail.

At Savali
Jim and Cochrane discussed how Ozzy is a strong player and will need to be taken out at some point and that Ozzy seems to be getting very friendly with Elyse. If they form a couple they will be even harder to beat. They suggest that since it is not smart to go after Ozzy yet that they should try to get Elyse out. After the reward challenge Cochrane talks to Dawn and she agrees with the plan to eliminate Elyse since they can not get Ozzy yet.

At Upolu
Brandon is still spinning out of control with his feelings of being a bad Christian for lying and cheating. He meets with Mikayla and apologizes to her. Then he meets with Edna and apologizes to her and says he has been lying to her by telling her that she is in an alliance of 6 when the alliance is really only 5. Edna feels betrayed and vulnerable she decides that she needs to up her social game but that only succeeds in irritating the others with her constant chatter and laugh. At the Redemption Island Challenge Brandon also apologises to Christine for his part in getting her outed at the first tribal council. Later Stacy tries to get into Brandon's head by telling him that Mikayla, Mike and Sophie and forming their own alliance and he and Coach should be worried. Brandon goes to tell Coach what Stacy told him and that they have a problem. Coach gets angry with him and tells him that he is just being duped by a player on death row. He tells Brandon to stop letting people mess with his mind. (not those words exactly but that is the gist of it)

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jeff asks Upolu what they are basing their elimination on? Strength? and is it physical strength or is it trust in the strength of their alliances. He suggests they play a little game and says finish this sentence...
To Rick The worst thing about Albert is - Rick says snoring. To Brandon the worst thing about Edna is - Brandon says her constant talking. To Edna the worst thing about Stacey - Edna say that Stacey is difficult to engage. To Mike and Mikayla the worst thing about Brandon is - they say that he is a good kid but the worst thing is that he is Russell Hantz's nephew so they don't know if they can trust him. Jeff asks Brandon about Russell and Brandon gets quite emotional and more or less says that Russell brought shame to the family and it is up to him to set things right.

They vote and everyone has voted to send Stacy to Redemption Island. Coach tells everyone to hug Stacy when she leaves for the great job that she did at the challenge but when he tries to hug her she shrughs out of his embrace. Jeff asks her why and she said because they don't mean it.

Stacy goes to Redemption Island where she will reunite with Christine and battle her next week to stay in the competition.

Week 5 Survivor October 12 Survivor Recap

REDEMPTION ISLAND CHALLENGE Between Stacey and Christine from Upolu

The Challenge
Before the challenge begins Stacey begins a rant against Coach, Albert and Mikayla to the members of Savali. Christine verifies that Coach, Albert and Sophie are the team leaders at Upolu.

The Challenge is to place balls in a spiral chute and catch them before they hit the ground. Balls will be added alternately to chutes spiralling left and right at timed intervals. Christine has a couple of near misses but tries hard to time her ball placements. Stacy throws the balls in in no planned sequence and ultimately is the first one to drop the ball.

REWARD/IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Reward - Bread, veggies and spices.

The Challenge
In one of the most disgusting Immunity Challenges ever, the teams arrive to see two roasted pigs on a spit. With their hands tied behind their backs they race to the pig and bite off as much as they can and spit it out in a basket. After ten minutes, the teams with the most weight wins They are getting huge pieces of meat stuck in their teeth and the others have to bite it out and spit it in the basket for them. It’s really gross. Both teams are going all out and it seems neck and neck. In the end, Upolu wins by only two ounces and Jeff announces they also get to take their meat back with them to eat, spit and all. Yuck!

PREVIOUS TO TRIBAL COUNCIL

At Savali
Dawn and Whitney return and tell the tribe about Stacey's rant about Coach, Albert and Sophie. Ozzy comments that if Coach were smart that he would get rid of a strong competitor like Albert. Jim makes note of Ozzy's statement and deduces that to mean that if that is Ozzy's way of thinking then Ozzy must be thinking of getting rid of him or Keith. Jim decides to tell Keith about this in an effort to get into his head and make him doubt his alliance with Ozzy. Cochrane, Jim and Dawn still plan to weaken Ozzy's alliance by eliminating Elyse who Ozzy is very "cozy" with. Jim talks to Keith but Keith is not sure what to do so he goes to talk to Whitney. They weigh their options and decide that is best from them not to tick off Ozzy by voting against Elyse so they decide to neutralize their votes by voting for someone else. One of the funniest moments is when Cochrane sees Ozzy napping in the hammock. He comments that Ozzy used to be his athletic hero but this Ozzy is a middle aged Ozzy who naps in the afternoon.

At Upolu
Albert and Mikayla tell Coach about Stacey's rant to Savali and how she would only call him Benjamin and not Coach. This ticks Coach off. He is angry that his alliance has been outed to Savali and says that they really need the immunity idol to be safe. Albert finds a clue to the immunity idol which he shares with Coach and Sophie. Coach uses the clue to search for the immunity idol and doesn't find it but decides that he needs to meditate and pray from a few moments after which he immediately? finds the immunity ido. He tells Albert and Sophie that he has found it. For all the ranting about Sophie by Stacey...Sophie has been pretty well absent from this episode.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Nothing too startling is revealed during the chat before the vote, however Ozzy is shocked when the vote is revealled. Elyse is eliminated and goes to Redemption Island where she will battle with Christine next week to stay in the competition.

Survivor Week 6 October 19 Recap

REDEMPTION ISLAND CHALLENGE Between Elyse from Savali and Christine from Upolu

The Challenge
Before the challenge, Jeff talks to Christine about her long stay at Redemption Island and Christine is tearful. She says that she may look strong but that it is tough and that Redemption Island sucks.

The Challenge Survivor shuffleboard. Each contestant has 4 pucks on the board. The person with the last remaining puck will win. The girls are even until Elyse mistakenly takes out one of her own pucks. She expects to be eliminated when Christine throws the next puck but Christine misses so Elyse has a chance to tie it up. She does but ultimately Christine is the victor and Elyse is eliminate. During the challenge Rick yelled encouragement to Christine but she pretended to scratch her nose while flipping him the bird LOL.

REWARD/IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Reward - Natural Rock Water Slide and Picnic

The Challenge
Each team will race to assemble a wheelbarrow. They will then push it through a series of obstacles, stopping along the way to collect two loads of coconuts. They will then dump the coconuts into a trough. The remaining tribe members will then take the wheelbarrow apart and use the pieces to build a slingshot. They will then use the slingshot to fire coconuts at targets. The first tribe to knock down all their targets wins immunity and a reward. Ozzy and Dawn struggle with the wheelbarrow and fall far behind in the first part of the contest however when it comes to shooting targets, Savali has strong shooters in Jim and Keith and take the lead to win the challenge. Coach is ticked off at Mikayla, who did poorly at the target shooting and did not take his advice to sit out and let Albert do the shooting.

Immunity Idols
Ozzy still has his hidden but in a fit of anger after the previous tribal council he blurted out to the team that he has it.
Coach has his idol. Brandon finds a clue and searches, unaware that Coach already has it.
PREVIOUS TO TRIBAL COUNCIL

At Savali
Ozzy is angry that he was blind sided by the team voting out Elyse. He says he will play independently and that he has the idol. The team discuss that he is acting childish and thinks he should apologise, which the next day after sulking for a while and cooling off, he does. He realizes that it was a mistake to rage at the team and hopes that he can mend their alliance. Jim in a PI says he wants to keep Ozzy on the team because he helps to win challenges and is a bigger target at tribal council than him.
At Upolu
Rick and Sophie tell Coach about Christine's bitter attitude and about her flipping the bird. Brandon finds a clue to the hidden immunity idol which he shares with Coach and Albert. He searches frantically for the idol while Coach and Albert compare his demeanor to Russell Hantz's and decide that it would set Brandon off if he knew that they already had the idol. Edna is staying close to Coach and trying to get on his good side to solidify her alliance with him. He says she is very loyal and that he will vote out Mikayla next and not Edna. Albert thinks it is a mistake to vote out Mikayla. He thinks they need her strength for challenges going into the merge. Albert tries to get the others to side with him against Edna. Brandon says he now likes Mikayla and wants her to stay but the he had already pledged his alliance to Edna and he will honor his alliance. Both Albert and Coach talk to Rick about him being the swing vote. They both plead their cases for strength over loyalty in voting out either Mikayla or Edna.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jeff talks about the situation of who to keep going into merge. Will it be strength or loyalty. Brandon says all those not honoring the original 6 alliance are not loyal and that if they are not going to play the game loyally that they may as well vote him out right now.

REDEMPTION ISLAND CHALLENGE Between Mikayla from and Christine from Upolu

The Challenge
They must take all the planks off of a crate and place them as boards on a bridge to get to the other side. When they get there they need to take only the planks with a pattern and make a puzzle. The are pretty much neck and neck through the challenge. Mikayla finishes first but the puzzle image is wrong, so she tries to fix it but again Christine sprints into first place and finishes ahead of her.

REWARD/IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Reward - Survivor Cinema showing "Jack and Jill" with all the movie treats like popcorn, candy and hot dogs.

The Challenge
Paint up and Pair up
Teams are given paint and costumes. The must paint and dress members to for identical pairs. At the challenge 1 pair is blindfolded and tied into a guide rope. They must follow the commands of another pair who is shouting out directions to manouver through an obstacle and collect bags of mask. Once all the masks are back at the dumping table The third pair must place them in matching pairs by feel only. The are running neck and neck while Coach feverishly prays for Upolu. At one point Savali has a lead until there is a problem with the way Cochrane has hooked Ozzy into the rope and he gets tangeld and lose the lead. Ozzy is really angry at the big blunder by Cochrane when the challenge is over.

Immunity Idols
Ozzy still has his with the whole team aware of it. At tribal council he gives it to Cochrane (see notes below)
Coach has his idol. Brandon still wants to search for it from his clue. To bring some harmony to the team Coach decides to pretend that he just found the II and let the whole team know that he has it.


PREVIOUS TO TRIBAL COUNCIL

At Savali
After watching Christine win, yet again at Redemption Island, Ozzy tells Cochrane that he thinks the teams needs to send someone to RI that can beat Christine before the merge in order to keep their numbers strong for the merge. He volunteers to go and says he will give Cochrane the II but that when he wins and comes back to the tribe that Cochrane must give the II back to him. Cochrane is delighted with a plan that will keep him in the game for another day. After the reward challenge Ozzy and the tribe are angry at Cochrane for messing up with the ropes and say that he should go to Redemption Island to prove himself and be redemed. Cochrane is nervous because he doesn't think that he can beat Christine. After a night's sleep Ozzy feels that he should go back to his original plan and volunteer to go to Redemption Island to beat Christine. He tells the team but they are really reluctant to go along with it in case there is another challenge before the merge and they would be stuck without Ozzy to help them win.

At Upolu
Coach says Brandon is a loose cannon and that they need to do something that will get him back on track and bring the team back closer together. Brandon talks about looking for the Immunity Idol again so Coach plans to go along with it and pretend that he "just found the idol". While pretending to look for the idol, Coach finds tree mail with the paint and supplies to get ready for the reward challenge.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jeff asks if there is finger pointing after the reward challenge. The team admits that they did point fingers at Cochrane. Ozzy tells Jeff about their plan to send him to Redemption Island to beat Christine. Jeff asks if they considered what would happen if they did not go to merge. They would be leaving their team vulnerable with Ozzy at Redemption. Ozzy says that is a chance that they have to take as he gives the Immunity Idol to Cochrane but first he says he is going to keep it ...then laughs at Cochrane's startled face and says - "Just Kidding"

At Redemption Island Ozzy follows through with his plan and tells Christine that they voted for Cochrane to go to RI but that Cochrane had the II and played it.
