stuckinsc wrote:JMO, if there was no chemistry then why want to go to the tree house room, why the making out and butt grabbing, and why bother with a fantasy suite? Was it all just so he could stay until the end? I agree he did not fall for her like he did Andi, but IMO there was chemistry, but we didn't get the Nick all in we saw before, but there was physical attraction.
You may have answered your own question. There was physical attraction so why not go on a 3rd date?

Yeah, I don't think physical chemistry was the problem. Jen has exactly the look Nick is into (similar to Andi's). Unfortunately it takes more than physical attraction to make a relationship work. Personality wise they just didn't seem to click well enough.

I highly doubt Jen was 'the one' for Nick. It takes nothing away from Jen's awesomeness, she just didn't tick ALL of Nick's boxes. It happens all the time. IMO it happened with Ben and Tenley. On paper the couple seems perfect, but it just isn't there for one of them. Jmo.

I always have to wonder how much of Nick's infatuation with Andi and Kaitlyn (and not with Jen) had to do with the set up/ Bachelor Bubble factor. IOW, if he had met all three women outside of the show and had dated each one, which one would he have fallen for then? I guess we'll never know, but I do think that when you add the competition and isolation factor into the equation, it changes things for certain people, particularly the very competitive types.
I agree about Ashley I. possibly exaggerating in order to save face about Wells leaving. While I do believe that producers tell the cast that they should be ready to make a commitment to the other person or leave, they can't "force" an engagement or a breakup. If a couple were insistent that they wanted to keep dating after filming but weren't ready for an engagement, even a fake one, and didn't want to fake a breakup either, I'm sure the producers would have had no choice but to allow it. Of course, it also might mean the end to all the BN perks and opportunities if you go against production, and we know how few are willing to go there.

I think it was season 1 of BIP, but I remember CH giving the ultimatum to the final couples prior to the FS dates. He absolutely made it sound like the couples eiher needed to get engaged or break up forever never to see each other again. I do not remember the exact words but I remember hearing them for the first time and thinking Who the heck are they to tell these people who they can or cannot date after this show ends?! Then in season 2 we had some couples date afterwards without engagement. I do not know if the ultimatum words changed.

Maybe he gets a kick out of competing against alpha males? There are men who wants to compete for women's attention and affection, Nick might be like this. Besides Jen was nothing like Kaitlyn and Andi both I consider as alpha females.

Nick recently admitted on a podcast I listened to, he fell hard for Andi and Kaitlyn, and that Andi was his type. Just goes to show you it's who they choose for themselves, not who I want them to choose.

That is my guess also, as GA has said, he admitted in some recent interviews that both physically and personality wise Andi is very much his type

Interesting to me that Nick seems to go for a more extroverted, confident woman. Jen seemed much sweeter (and of course she was younger) more flexible and much more concerned with his feelings than either Andi or K. It may be Nick needs the challenge of trying to win a woman's affection to feel fully engaged. We will see....

IMO, the problem with Nick wanting the Andi type is them wanting him back. His very well developed feminine side can be a big deterrent for an Andi type. I don't mean that disrespectfully to Nick, rather to the ladies who feel they need that alpha or very masculine type male. Until they are older and have enough heartbreak, I am not sure they are ready to accept a male less dominant than they are. Again JMO.

The degree of Alpha and trait combination makes a difference

The above quiz statements give a sense of how a woman can have Alpha attributes with/without compassion or with/without being overly externally driven. Ideally IMO, Nick needs a confident assertive Alpha rather than an aggressive people pleasing Alpha.
