@nibbles22, that is the one thing that I am happy about with Nick, those that love him can cheer for his HEA and those of us that don't can cheer for the F1 to dump the lead. Either way, most seem interested either way. And since this board is good at allowing differing opinions to post side by side we can all still be one big happy board family at the end of it all.

Just curious, how many are cheering for Nick's F1 to dump him at the FRC? While, I don't doubt that would make for shocking and compelling television, I wouldn't wish that ending on my worst enemy.

I agree. I wouldn't take pleasure in seeing someone hurting. I would feel very bad for him or anyone else for that matter.

Me, I totally am. Fourth time on this show, there is no pity for me for anything that happens to him. As I was reminded earlier, Josh didn't have to be on BiP, well Nick knows TPTB well if they finally pull that trick, he knew what he was setting himself up for. JMO.

Just because he choose to go on the show 4th time, does he deserve to be hurt and humiliated? Some may agree but I, like a few others, don't like to see that, not on Nick, not on anyone at all. Watching his announcement on AP, I noticed that he's said it more than once he's nervous, so I guess he's thought about the possible outcome. No matter what, I think Nick has been through public rejection more than once so he can take it and will be fine. That's why I like about him, taking risks and no regrets. YOLO!

IMO many women in their 30's wear their confidence better than most wear the latest trends. It's what accounts for a sense of presence when they enter a room. It's why they fill space instead of shrink in space.
They can be charismatic or poised; alluring or matter of fact. But above all, they are confident to the core - otherwise they are girls and we've had far too many of the latter and not enough of the real thing on this franchise.
bring on the real thing. Not only for Nick but because we need a Bette to follow that embodies womanhood.
^Yes I agree notarose, real women who know who they are, have dealt with their issues, and have worked out what they are actually looking for- to last a lifetime. And btw that's not a dig at young women in their early 20s, I was one too, it's just that in most cases I feel that you haven't come to terms with yourself until your late 20s. We've seen a lot of the insecurities played out with the 'girls' in past seasons. Then again if I think of AshleyI, she seems 21 mentally, rather than 28, so there can be exceptions. I also don't think anyone who hasn't been through a heartbreak or two should apply! I think Nick is a mature man with some great life advice for people, so really he will need someone with some depth and wisdom for things to work well.
The presence you speak of notarose I agree with, I wouldn't go back to my twenties if I had the choice, by thirties you actually like yourself and have more confidence about saying what you will or will not expect/tolerate from a partner. It's weird, when I think about it I hated my appearance (for no good reason) the most when I was supposedly young and beautiful, yet I feel much more beautiful and cool now.
Another thought on Nick's current journey, at 36 he will genuinely want to get married and have kids asap. He's been seeking his person for years now. In fact he found love twice but it was simply not returned and his heart was smashed both times. It's not only commendable he's out there still looking, it's a bit of a miracle - he's risking his heart once again. I remember how it felt to be looking and hoping I might find my person, being afraid it might never happen and looking everywhere then losing hope, then looking again.
It is hard going on your spirit, despite having a full life. If you always wanted marriage then it's difficult to be patient and accept 'it'll happen when you're not looking' as you feel you really in fact should be looking all the hours of the day just in case 'your person' fell down the side of the sofa, or under a rock, or you left them in a taxi. Your person is very unlikely to be on Tinder btw. So I guess this is why I can relate to Nick, aside from the many other charms I see in him, he is sincerely (in the words of Yes) 'going for the one'. The man is supposed to quest and that is what he is doing. More power to him and can't wait to see a happy ending to the journey. All imo.

While anything is possible and I get that such an ending would make some fans absolutely giddy however that F1 that does that IMO is punking herself and trashing her own character because by the time she would get to the F1 stage, she will have had 9 to 10 chances to walk away. As mentioned above many may cheer the outcome but many, many more will be on the attack and criticizing her/her intentions/her character, I am not sure it would be worth it for any of the women to go all the way just to dump the lead at the last second.
I was going to (insert any productive activity) but then well...........Nick

I've wished for that on several seasons. For Nick specifically it's mainly because it would to continue the "runner-up" theme he's had every other season.
That and I think he won't marry the girl he picks anyway so why wish that on her?

I also wished for it to happen to the farmer, instead he used his fiance to get DWTS votes then dumped her after treating her poorly in public, then he went on national radio and claimed he didn't want to be engaged. How is that any less cruel than someone ending it at FRC? Oh yeah, an F2 is usually dumped after 9-10 weeks, so again why is it more cruel or mean to the lead?

Re: Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #2
I felt bad for Nick when Andi dumped him, when he accidentally spoiled the ending on the plane and RS was mercilous, and I especially felt bad for him for how cold and mean Andi was towards him at ATFR when she painted him into a corner and he was accused of sl*t shaming her.
I felt bad for Nick when Kaitlyn, knowing how it ended for him only 12 months prior, dragged him to the end only to repeat history. How humiliating. Seriously humiliating. He handled it though. I felt further bad for him for how cold as ice Kaitlyn acted towards him again at ATFR.
I will most certainly feel badly for him if his final 1 dumps him at the alter. That is most definitely a story line I do not want to see for Nick. I like the underdog story. I do not like the "dump on the guy who's had a bad go of it" story. I absolutely do not care that it's his 4th time on this show. You know what? He's entertained me every time. It's a tv show. I've enjoyed his storylines in Bachelor Universe. He gets along with pretty much everyone. He's been a good sport. He's done no one harm, really. I'd prefer a redemption arch for him.

Imo, I highly doubt that Nick will be dumped at FRC.
It's been done already and a played out storyline at this point and nothing new there, even for his own season it is nothing new.
So far his storyline has been F2 2x and then having to break up with someone so the only thing that will be new is Nick choosing an F1 and the F1 accepting.
I am hopeful that Nick finds someone amazing and gets his HEA and a great F1 (someone like Sharleen)

Re: Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #2
It would be quite poetic if Nick's F2 girl gets caught trashing his new fiancé on video and then the F2 girl asks him to speak and meet with him on more than one occasion and then writes a long letter asking for a second chance knowing he's happily engaged to someone else. I'd be curious to see how nick would handle that knowing how it would affect his new fiancé that already has to deal with watching the show.
I'll always respect Robby for going to Jordan, not JoJo, to speak about what happened on the show. JMO
