Let me clarify one things. She told him to quit on the 2nd day of honeymoon which was the fifth day of the marriage. That was when the balcony/beach fight happened.
He made a bad decision for even considering smoking on the honeymoon and she also made a bad decision of permitting him to do that when he asked for her permission since she was never ok with it. JMO

Ruqibabe, we know as we read that she gave him the OK to smoke the evening of the wedding. That's it. That one time. But then, she said she became upset when he continued to smoke each day going forward until he stopped during the honeymoon. We know he began his day by lighting up in the morning because she said he did. In my opinion, from my own personal experience, if someone begins his day lighting up a "doobee", that person continues smoking during the day.

During their segment of the show, Heather said Derek's not a bad person. IMO, it's the life she rejecting --- the 420 world. She doesn't want the life. Frankly, I wouldn't either.

Remember Heather complained about how Derek made her feel uncomfortable when they were posing for wedding photos by the way he continued touching and we watched him kissing her neck and back. IMO, Derek went there because he was loaded and Heather was uncomfortable about it because she wasn't.

albean99, I think you hit it on the nose. The show is punishing Heather for walking out.

Here's the link where he mentions she's an alcoholic. We actually see her playing drinking games, and is obviously drunk.

I mentioned this before but thought I would add it here since the post is about smoking.  The experts said that she was asked on her questionnaire about smoking. (guess this is a standard question, on the forms they fill out)  Her answer was occasionally was okay.  So IMO this sort of shoots his smoking the one time out of the water.  IMO she is another Ashley, didn't like who they chose for her so she looked for some excuses to get out of it.  Problems by the second day confirms it for me.

Anyway, now he knows.

In defense of Heather, she said something to the effect as I quoted in an earlier recent post, that they didn't have any foundation as a basis for her to stick it out and attempt to work it out with him. That she had to stand up for who she is and what she believes in as he does the same. It appears they had this discussion and her statement, also suggests there was no compromise where she would be accepting or that Derek agreed to walk away from his 420 lifestyle and, thus, walking away from his pot smoking friends.

Also, remember, Derek threw out all those personal insults about Heather and refers to Heather as rigid and not open minded, for, obviously, weed was a deal breaker for her.

Heather has been careful to state she thinks Derek is a good guy. IMO, everything points to that it's the lifestyle she rejected. And with all due respect, it would have been for me, too. Right then and there, boom! Done.

Marijuana was the initial obstetrical --- the deal breaker --- for this couple, just like the bus and the dogs for the other two couples.

Amberish do we have any proof that Derek smokes MJ?  I haven't seen anything that absolutely confirms this fact on the show.  Derek was asked about smoking and said that once Heather asked him to stop he did so, Heather confirmed that fact.
