In Nikki’s case I think it does in a way. I remember an incident where she was approached for selfies at work by a couple (not parents of a patient). She promised to get back to them when she had the time, but things happened during her shift and she never did. They got pissed and called the tabloids.

That didn’t make her quit though, it just made her really angry, Nikki style.

And that's ok. 
She is a pediatric oncology nurse. I can't imagine how stressful and heartrending her job is and then to deal with imbeciles like that. EFF them from me, too. 
I've been a nurse for a long, long time. If people can't understand her situation, especially not being a patient or family member--ughh. Just no.

Nurses jobs aren't affected by a post 9/11 world. I think we are forgetting that piece. It's just a different world up in the sky. There may have been more going into Lauren's decision than we realize.

But regardless, she says she's going back to work and I believe her. I also think they'll be adult about it and plan a wedding in conjunction with working.

Also, as someone who actually saw a fertility specialist, the LAST thing I'd want to do while sitting at the clinic would be pose for a picture with Whitney (or whoever) and advertise myself at said clinic on social media.  I would think (hope) a similar mindset would happen amonst families and children experiencing childhood cancer. With few exceptions, obviously. Might be a different story if that someone is my flight attendant (especially if I'm in fun vacation mode- which is typically what I fly for).

HIPPA: photos on a health care unit should not be occurring. Plain and simple. Written permission of others etc need to be obtained.

A FA #1 job and responsibility is safety of passengers. Serving is way down on list, but if airlines fear her "celebrity" could interfer with safety it makes sense she can't fly right now.

I am pretty sure, from what I was told, before the show premiered, Lauren was already seeking advice on whether she should take time off. Spoilers were out there, and she was being recognized.

She spoke highly of her employer in one of the media interviews I watched. I can see her going back to work after the dust settles a bit. There will always be fans who want pics. They can wait IMO until they get in the airport for pics.

I was looking around on SM this morning and thought I'd look to see what's the latest with Lauren and Ben. Just want to say, I'm not sure where the meme that they are so active on SM is coming from. They don't even share daily...I actually wish they'd share more!

In the last week, Lauren has posted 3 times on insta. She's tweeted 16 times, all but 2 tweets were about/during the Blazers playoff game. So basically she tweeted twice in a week about her and Ben. I don't know about snapchat, so maybe that's where she's posting so much?

^^ She's really not. She had one snapped picture of her and Ben at a small concert last night, Ben kissing her cheek. It's in the fan thread.

Yeah, they really aren't incredibly active on SM at all.

Ally and sleepy, that is nice to read. I hope she is settling into life in Denver and finding the HEA she and Ben want. I confess, I react to what I read here. I just don't care enough to follow them myself and I don't go in their fan thread.

I used to work at the same airline as Lauren and in my experience they were extremely supportive, I ended up taking a whole year off (allowing me to keep my seniority) while pursuing an unique opportunity.  There may be some concern over disruption with passengers (just like when a well known athlete/actor is on onboard).  But my biggest concern would be the hassle of getting to/from the base in Seattle for work.  There are 4-5 flights daily from Denver which is okay but if fights are full or weather is a problem and you can't make it, that's a strike on your record.  FA's hourly pay is based upon years of service and usually range from $35-50k year, so if it was me, it wouldn't be worth the commute, and I would of thought the extra money from whatever appearance fees these last few months plus a near future wedding deal might just tide me over... Plus it's not like Ben is charging her rent so she shouldn't have any big monthly expenses?

So did Lauren went back to her work already prior to what she said on the interviews ? I read an article looks like she still not back . Her snapchat says it all though . Seems she isn't. I bet she won't be back at all and pursue different stuff now she moved in col. Jmo
