Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

Stuck, you should go back and watch the Lauren/Ben parts. You'd probably like them. ;)

Totally agree, this is a discussion thread and fair game to discuss Lauren and Ben either way - no matter your opinions. Just putting in my 2 cents. I've only ever really fan girled over 3 couples in the history of this show. Jef and Emily was one of them. I was confident about them for only a short while. By this time in their relationship, rumors (REAL tabloid rumors, not this lightweight L&S crap) were already swirling. We already had RS coming out saying Emily and Jef would NEVER get married and he was "certain." We just don't have that kind of stuff following Ben and Lauren. Also, I know it's hindsight- but if you go back and watch Jef and Emily stuff, their language and interactions are awkward when compared to Ben and Lauren. And then there were tons of real life issues and obstacles Jef and Emily faced (Ricki, different religions, the list goes on and on) that hindered JEM as roadblocks in a way that BenLo just don't have.

I have lots to say about all of this! Sorry this is a little long...

JoJo definitely noticed his connection to Lauren on the show and commented on it more than a few times, starting in Mexico City. So it wasn't just post-show. That said, if I was JoJo I would DEFINITELY have been confused at the end. She knows the show and knows he's not supposed to say ILY. This bubble is a mindf*ck and I'm guessing she thought that meant she had overcome his connection with Lauren. In watching it back, she realized what she had seen the whole time was true. JMO.

Regarding the SM, I don't think what they post is any different than what an average non-bachelor couple who just got together post. Again, JMO, but if you are a regular couple on SM and you go to a charity work, you probably post about it. If you go on a date and your boyfriend gets stuck in an elevator, you post about it. And if your fiance looks too cute feeding your god daughter, you post about it. Back to the Bachelor bubble, every single couple (those that make it and those that don't) post some behind the scenes caps post-show. I would probably be more worried and thinking something was up if they weren't posting these kinds of things...that would seem less normal to me.

Ben and Lauren have some really big hurdles to overcome. I think they are doing really well right now, but only time will tell if they can truly let what happened on the show go and can settle into happy life together. It's a big adjustment! They seem to be handling it in a really good way and getting lots of support, but again, only time will tell.

I think age factors in too. I just turned 30 and snapchat is new to me . I recently accidentally sent a snap out as my story that I intended for my sister. I laughed at myself because that's exactly how Kaitlyn spoiled her season.

And I found Ben boring, so while I am happy for them IRL, I have no desire to go watch their scenes.

Des has an account on snapchat but has yet to post on it.

I'm 33 and definitely feel too old for snapchat! It's definitely for the younger Millenials. I am only boarderline Millenial. The lost years between Gen X and Millenials. Haha.

Anyone here using snap chat with their iphone? I have a question. Is there a way to turn on notifications so the number of snap chats shows up on the home screen? With twitter, FB, email ect it shows the number of message you have before you open the app. With snap chat it dosen't, only when I open the snap chat app do I see the number of snap chats down on the right hand corner. Just wondering if there is a way to set up notifications so I can see from the home screen if there are snap chats . Anyone? TIA

I was in a car with teens and they were exchanging faces on their snapchat. They are so proficient . I showed them the one with Lauren singing and asked what song it was, they all knew it was Carrie Underwood. That face swapping filter gives me the creeps .

Very good Post to my way of thinking.  ITA with you!!     I think Ben and Lauren have a better than average chance based on a lot of common family values.  But no question about it they will have to learn about each others quirks and be committed fully to walk through the good and bad times.  I wish them well because they seem very charming together and appear to love and respect each other.

Stuck,  My comments about Emily and Jef are because I am/was an Arie person.     I do remember watching that SC beach house for the signs of trouble that seemed to be brewing for Jef and Emily.  That seems like such a long time ago.  If Jef dates Amanda maybe we will see him on a double date with Ben and Lauren.

No longer a Jef fan, and I like Arie. I just felt that she was a mean hosebeast to Arie and he deserved better.

If BenLo double date with Jef and Amanda I will lose respect for them both.
