Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

If Tanner and Jade got a televised wedding, I think it's highly possible Ben Higgins (on Rushmore; only the 2nd Bachelor out of 20 to marry his first choice) will get the green light. I agree, it's going to come down to if ABC thinks the investment is worth it vs. ratings and if they have a scheduling hole that they need filled. Ben saying December/January 2016/17 (obviously fits the history for TV wedding criteria) + saying they are open to a TV wedding leads me to believe they have some idea it could happen. I don't think they will know definitively until the fall.

We are going to have to agree to disagree. I def think it's possible they will get offered a wedding. 100%, no way. But it's possible to likely they will.

Selfishly I want to see the wedding, so I want it televised. But more than that, I want Ben and Lauren to live their lives how they see fit. Go forth and be happy or whatever.... Live your life how you want to live, celebrate your day how you want to celebrate, yada, yada. If that means they get married in a court house, I'd be happy for them.

^^^^I think "if" they get married they will have a beautiful wedding and pictures will be taken but not a televised wedding. Still a ways to go. Time will tell. ;)

I'm with those who think it's a possibility since they gave Jade & Tanner a lovely wedding. It may not be like some of the previous ones but that's not really a bad thing. I'd love to see them do a destination wedding. They could use some of their places that they in their back pocket. Probably not going to happen since they seem to want to stick with CA but a girl can hope. :Nod:

Not jumping the gun though. It's too early to really talk weddings yet. I just don't see any reason they wouldn't at least seriously consider filming it. All JMO.

Let me clarify. I don't think it's too soon to discuss whether there's a possibility that ABC would televise their wedding. It just seems early for B/L to be doing much about it yet since they're still settling in together.

I think they could get a rushed fit into something else wedding, just like Jade and Tanner. I think the days of the all night all about the wedding special are over.

Just to clarify this did come up originally because Lauren asked Ben a week or two ago at one of the basketball games they attended to start planning the wedding. It sounded too soon to me and I hope it went no further than trying on some dresses while in Portland with their family.

I really hope they actually take time to live in real life before they rush marriage. And setting a date and starting plans can get a ball rolling that is hard to stop, been there done that, and have the divorce and been MOH at two other weddings OD now divorced couples to prove it. All JMO

but if they feel it that they are so ready to tie the knot . Why not? Give it to them what they think is best for them . If they are on this period of their life that they are on the same page and feel of rushing getting married so be it . At the end of the day how they feel and think that matters . I agreed that at this point they are maybe still in bachelor bubble considering this week is the starts of their post life in Denver together. looking Lauren she seems really giddy though so maybe anytime soon she will start kicking her wedding planning. imo.

Why do things always have to be conventional? What if something special happened between these two that their bond or relationship is solid. I for one married my man with very little time together. Long distance even, east to west.  Whether we waited one year or 2 months, it would have made little difference . We didn't live together either prior to marriage. Sure in marriage there were adjustments but with a strong commitment you can work things out. We aren't fighters or tantrum throwers so no yelling matches. We are communicators and that's how we work things out. If Ben and Lauren are similar, I think they can too. Though I don't think they'd marry in two to six months, I can see them marrying by year's end. If so, I'd start planning too. Imo, I do foresee a tv wedding.

^^^I respectfully disagree about the TV wedding. TPTB are about the all mighty $$ and ratings. Don't see a TV wedding like the Molly and Jason show EVER happening again. Tanner lucked out with the anniversary special. I wish these two the best and imo they should give it some more time. Time will tell with them. ;)
