Mia, it was delightful reading your recipe...very, very entertaining. Sounds like your favoring spumoni at the moment. Just curious, did Derek remind a little of your strudel...just in looks?

Jordan looked haggard to me this week. He's attractive and  nice enough so far. Pretty hidden in epi 2.

Luke. Great first kiss. But way too quiet, serious and intense for me...and IMO for Jojo. Don't enjoy his voice.

Derek. I like a dark haired guy. But he's too quiet and normal for her. Nice guy, but not going to go to the end

Robby. My little spumoni. Cool and colorful. Well hidden by the edit this week. Why? Why no spumoni for me?

Nobody else has made that big of an impression on me so far.

Based on epi 1 and epi 2 combined, my leader board is:

#1. Still Jordan for now. Get some sleep, dude. It's only week 2 and you look so tired.
#2. Luke. Surged forward (for now IMO) with that sensual 1st kiss. Deserves his day in the sun.
#3. Chase. Cheesy corn-doggin' it to the 3-spot. And later, to the g-spot?
#4. Robby. My little spumoni. He wanted to be her hero, and we got to see him zero. So sad to be deprived.

 

@MiaHawk @Nonina430 and I both love your Spumoni too. When we are all reunited as one we can love him together.

Litta, no I did not get a Strudel vibe from Derek, but Derek is a cutie.

Mia...count me in for enjoying your post and top picks. For my Bachelorette pool, I picked Luke as #1 and in no order Chase, Grant and Jordan with Jordan up for next Bachelor.

After watching her interactions this past episode, here are my top standings:

1. Luke... her very steamy kiss with Luke keeps him my top pick. The fact that he is West Point grad is very impressive and sets him apart along with military service. I don't know what his job is now (rancher??) but I can see him holding his own with her brothers. He nearly beat the actual fireman and gosh, there is just something quiet yet steamy about him. Total romance novel hero.

And in no particular order, here are guys who I think will go the farthest on show and may change my mind about Luke being the one to beat...

-Wells...something super charming about him. In a house full of meatheads, his skinny little arms stood out. I see him top 6 and off to BIP3. He is good looking too.

-Jordan...I can't forget the great chemistry they had night one and he is from NFL dynasty. I need to see more of his character to tell whether he is fit for JoJo. I think her family would be more impressed and expecting her to bring home Jordan's older brother/successful QB instead!!. That said, Jordan is hot and seems good natured enough. I also think that TPTB will want to make him next Bachelor to build on name and fact he is quasi famous.

Robby-definitely hot but very hidden this episode. Maybe that is a good thing? He seems to have drama based on previews with ex girlfriend  (or current) so who knows. If the men bring it up, could they be jealous?? He is one to watch for sure.

-Derrick... I think he is best looking in the house and was hoping for better connection on date. I was super surprised that he got picked for first date as he was not very memorable night 1. I can see him on BIP3, unless their connection gets hotter and chemistry changes. He looks friend zoned.

-Grant...I picked him for top 4 last week because he told her ILY so I assumed he went far. I need to see him on 1-on-1 date with JoJo.  He is definitely hot and also good candidate for BIP3.

-Chase...The fact that he did not get group date BUT got the "mini" date during cocktail party is great sign. Pretty sure that a lot of guys go far in past when that happens. I couldn't tell on previews who gets next week 1-on-1 dates but guessing that Chase will. He is good looking and seems like sweet guy.

-James T....I think I have the correct James...the one who plays guitar. So that is getting old quickly for me. Yes, we get it, you play guitar and sing!!! That said, he is clearly a kind, Christian man but their chemistry stinks. I see him top 6 for sure though cause he is pleasant to have around. Friend zone!!

-Alex...Not my favorite and I think he is young at 25. Idk...BIP3 maybe. I am just including him here cause he got so much airtime. Maybe top 8.  

Okay that's about it. JoJo is doing well so far. Man, is she touchy feely with guys she likes. That will be a tell for sure. She is gorgeous.

MVMom, I agree with you about James Taylor's singing getting old. He is very nice but definitely in the friend zone.

I am personally not attracted to quiet brooding men like Luke. However, I realize some women find that attractive, which I think Jojo does to a certain extent. I think the biggest determining factor ( other than the "it factor", of course) will be how well the men are able to open up and articulate themselves. I think that Jojo is a very good communicator, so I think she would appreciate the same in a partner. Not that he has to be a chatty one or crave attention, but in one on one conversations he' going to need to bring it. IMO.

^^^Yep, Jo Jo's attraction for Luke could all be chemistry at this point. I personally don't find him to be best looking but rather he falls into there is just "something sexy/compelling about him" zone. Plus the whole West Point grad and completing his 5 years of service as officer and isn't he from Texas too? I think she (and her family) would find that very attractive in future husband. She needs someone to mix well with her Dallas social life!!

The season is young so any guy whom I mentioned above could certainly steal her heart.

I am super curious to see how they edit Luke, Jordan, Grant and Robby, in particular, as I am betting one of those guys is next Bachelor.

The fact that they are showing Chad repeatedly call Jordan a "failed QB" and the less successful little brother of Aaron makes me think he also could be f1 or headed for BIP3 as they usually give next lead all positive edit. So maybe Luke is our next Bachelor, if not f1, as I don't see him at this point on BIP3.

I need to get to ep 5-6 to be more confident in my picks. Right now too much drama on Chad and Alex plus other MOT guys.

I liked Luke from the first night, after all he is a Texas Boy! He reminds me a lot of Sam Elliott for some reason. But, and this is a big but!, he lives on a ranch in a small west Texas town. And never the twain shall meet? She did swoon over Jordan the first night, and he is being kept fairly hidden so far.....just one of the guys.

I think JoJo is big on communication, she wants someone who is open, honest, and can show their emotions.  That is one of my concerns with Luke.  He is very hot and handsome and probably refined enough to fit into her family/society, but I have to determine if his intensity comes from a jealous/angry place or if it is just the way they are editing his quieter, low-key personality.

It seems the consensus is Jordan, Luke, Chase, Grant, Wells, Derek, and Robby make it pretty far unless there are some surprises.

Two episodes next week - should be exciting.  I almost thought we weren't going to get a RC this week and started getting upset.  I hate when they end the show w/o having the RC, it is frustrating and throws the whole flow of the next show off

^^^Exactly, Moonchild. We need to see more 1on-1 dates to get a read on chemistry. JoJo is pretty easy to read in terms of body language so rhat should help with narrowing her favorites.

I had read the bios for contestants on ABC. While Derek was my top choice in looks and responses, I just didn't see a lot of chemistry between the two so he is not cracking my top 4.
