Should we have an epi thread and a sleuthing thread? There is already an epi thread  for discussion during the epi's.

This thread can be used for discussion or while viewing the epi. Notice the title NO SPOILERS which means there is no sleuthing going on. It would just be opinions on what you are viewing.

@AllAboutLove NP! It's trial and error. We're trying something new so eventually we'll have it sorted out. It's all good.

I'm not sure how I feel about any of the guys yet (personality-wise) except that I picked up on Chad's mean streak after about 2 minutes. Yuck.

A lot of these guys kind of have the same look. Did they all get shipped off to the same Super Cuts for identical haircuts the night before taping? Jordan is good looking, but I think his hair would drive me a little nuts (a bit too long on top), especially if the wind picks up.

If I'm being shallow, which I am being, I think just based on facial looks, I think that Robby is the most attractive. And because he is a "former competitive swimmer" (whatever that means) I think his body will be delightful. Swimmers have the best bodies, IMO. That hallway scene of him running gave us a glimpse and I liked what I saw. I preference "swimmer" to "body builder" any day of the week.

From the season preview clips it seems like they will play up big bully Chad picking on Jordan. Is this to make us sympathetic to Jordan, aka the next Bachelor? Maybe. We also see some controversy surrounding Robby having a girlfriend or being right off a break-up with a girlfriend. Manufactured for drama to throw us off of his scent as F1 or truth and a deal breaker for his being F1? IDK. Just from the previews I suspect that Jordan, Robby, and Luke are the F3.

The part that cracked me up was the RC. I've watched this show enough to know that the guy who "ministers to the limp" (brilliant!), Santa, balding drunk guy, and Canadian underwear guy were all forced picks by TPTB. The look on Jojo's face was so pained when she offered the rose to Canadian underwear guy. I think that it will be easy to read who she doesn't like this season, but, as usual, when it gets down to the final few men, the editors will hide the good stuff or edit the the F2 as the winner.

Often, it is the contestant that they hilite the most and "sell" the most who is F2 or F3. The F1 is frequently under the radar as far as I am concerned. I felt this way about Ben and Lauren. It's all about propping up the F2 or F3 so they have their next Bach or Bachette, it has nothing to do with showing the better romance or relationship developing. So, when I went unspoiled last season and thought Ben would pick JoJo, I was guilty of buying what they were selling---that Jojo was spunky, beautiful, and a good fit for Ben. Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't so bad.

I may not correctly predict who Jojo picks this season, either. But, I don't care about being wrong or right. I just want to formulate my own opinions without the outside influence of spoilers, rumors, or media telling me how I should think about these people. Once you know the predetermined outcome, it really does color your view of everyone. But so does the editing of these "characters" they develop. That's why I just watch to see human behavior (edited and provoked), and I don't take what I see as truth or reality.

If we want to discuss general info and not SCs of a certain contestant, should we put that in the general discussion thread or contestant thread for the F4? Are the seperate contestant threads for the F4 for SC discussion only? TIA.

I am taking for granted you mean in the no spoiler section.
You can post it in the general discussion sleuthing thread, the episode thread or if it should be what you eventually sleuth as the F4, it can go in their specific non-spoiler thread.
Whichever is most pertinent.
It is ok if you post it in a couple threads should it overlaps.
It just gets a wee bit obnoxious when we see the same thing posted in more than 2 threads if you get my drift.
It's refreshing to watch you all sleuth and have fun. I am vicariously having fun through your threads.

Just a quick check in after catching up on everyone's posts . . .

The first episode is overwhelming and didn't give me an idea of who might be a good match for JoJo.  The only one I saw alot of chemistry with was Jordan.  He seems to be in the previews later on in the season so my guess is he goes pretty far. He is easy on the eyes so that is okay with me  

Episode 2, which in my opinion was more THE CHAD SHOW, than The Bachelorette JoJo.  I mean, come on, JoJo is a good B'ette, she has game and personality.  I FF through about 30 minutes of the episode because I got sick and tired of hearing what Chad thought of all the guys.  I want to hear what JoJo has to say    Also, wasn't JoJo's ex-boyfriend's name Chad?  That has to be a bit weird for her.

I haven't read a blog or any other media, completely spoiler free.  My top picks at this point are:  Chase, Jordan, Luke, Grant, Wells, and Derrick (sp? - he was 1on1 date).  An observation at the RC: Wells and Derrick already has roses.  After about 3 or 4 roses were handed out she called Chase, Luke, Jordan and Grant all in order . . . I have never put much on the order at RC but I might start this season, see if they end up as her top 4.

I like Chase, he didn't get a date, but instead of pouting about it, he took her aside right away at the RC and set up the "CO snow scene". At that point I was so sick of Chad I may have check out a bit so will have to re-watch their interaction and see if JoJo was into him as much as I was   .  His actions were thoughtful and tell me he wants to take the time to get to know her; he doesn't seem to just be there to see how many minutes he can get his face on TV. Luke and Jordan are VERY nice looking and have chemistry with her. They seem sweet with JoJo though both have a little jealousy issue and are getting involved in the Chad drama.  They could also both be good contenders for next Bachelor.

Here is my fantasy "Stud Muffin" recipe based on what was aired in episode 2:

Use Chad's hot air to preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl combine the following:
1. Jordan's voice
2. Derek's hair
3. Robby's face and body
4. Chase's personality
5. Luke's first kiss

Stir until smooth. Pour into lightly greased muffin tin. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool and Enjoy!

Chad, the protein pig, is horrid. And dangerous. Hey, DB, how about easing off those 'roids.

Chase was very likable. Liked his corny mustache joke in epi 1 and the snow in epi 2. Is he the dark-horse?

Jordan looked haggard to me this week. He's attractive and nice enough so far. Pretty hidden in epi 2.

Luke. Great first kiss. But way too quiet, serious and intense for me...and IMO for Jojo. Don't enjoy his voice.

Derek. I like a dark haired guy. But he's too quiet and normal for her. Nice guy, but not going to go to the end

Robby. My little spumoni. Cool and colorful. Well hidden by the edit this week. Why? Why no spumoni for me?

Nobody else has made that big of an impression on me so far.

Based on epi 1 and epi 2 combined, my leader board is:

#1. Still Jordan for now. Get some sleep, dude. It's only week 2 and you look so tired.
#2. Luke. Surged forward (for now IMO) with that sensual 1st kiss. Deserves his day in the sun.
#3. Chase. Cheesy corn-doggin' it to the 3-spot. And later, to the g-spot?
#4. Robby. My little spumoni. He wanted to be her hero, and we got to see him zero. So sad to be deprived.
