Well, Ben did say that they put his F1 through He$$. That could truly be said about the F1, whomever you choose to think that it is.

She said "JoJo is way more her style and she says "Ben referred to her as the first person who will resassure me and tell it's all going to be ok" and that's all she needed to hear

Sounds like Mom knows her son in the sense that he needs a lot of support and reassurance.

Does anyone think Ben's comment about his F1 been put through a lot is about Jojo being the F1 but having to deal with the spoilers pointing at Lauren? Maybe?

I think it is wrong to show this, his mom in this emotional state. Especially if Lauren is his choice. So many hurt feelings in all of this. I just do not like it... :bigsigh:

I agree, its just hurtful if he picked Lauren… I could imagine them pressing her, BUT IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE….

Me but there seems to be so much post-show sleuthing stuff for Lauren that I tend to discount JoJo's chances even though I think they make a better match. Nothing against Lauren, I just have seen a better connection with Ben and JoJo even though the attention to it hasn't been front and center in the edit.

For those worrying about poor Lauren, IMO it's water under the bridge at this point- she has already heard and dealt with every sordid detail. IMO she will not watch the finale as it's airing (they never seem to, that way if the engagement does get shown during ATFR it's new to the couple). Yes, she will have to rehash it for the next 48 hrs or so as they do their media rounds, but they've known it's coming- no blindside at this point- and during the rounds, most of the interviews last about 5 minutes so a few canned answers and they're done. Huffington is usually the longest interview, but they're often kind and more informative.

Ben has already said, "we're a team". IMO we'll see teamwork throughout.

At this point the parents already know who the F1 is. imo When they play the show back they don't want the runner up to feel bad and they can't make it obvious. Ben's mom doesn't strike me as someone that would be dishonest to just go along with the show. I think she is crying because she is torn up about Ben's decision and doesn't want him to be hurt. Just because his mom prefers JoJo that doesn't mean that's who Ben picks. All the parents have to go on is what Ben has said about them and the meeting they have with both of them. Ben probably picks Lauren but I agree with Ben's mom about JoJo.JMO.

Ben to me genuinely seems conflicted.
