This is why I thought it was unusual to see her hold back tears while she was saying it. She couldn't get the words out. I wonder how many times it took to film that piece. I still find that whole clip very strange.

I found the clip with Ben's mom strange too. To me, it felt like they had a gun to her head to get her to "pick" a favorite when I don't think she wanted to. Maybe the tears were exhaustion, frustration, hating that she had to do it after they had her baking in the Jamaica sun for hours using their manipulation and a million retakes until they got what they wanted.

Is this what thread this should go in?? I'm so confused with the threads this season. I apologize if this was posted somewhere else. I'm having trouble weeding through the threads. :babies:

Nice of tptb to bring in some supporters for Ben. Because the first 2.5 hrs are going to be pretty brutal (though he'll only be on the air live for about 15 min of that time).

I'm speculating. I don't know. But it's certainly possible. It would be one thing to have it aired, they can't do much about that. It would be another to beat the issue to death. Imo having it repeated in media plus being aired would be beating it to death. Say it once--ok, you signed up for it. Signing to the rags etc might be overkill. I don't know if the Higgins have any pull, but maybe if they made friends with someone high up and maybe if they put a phone call in and asked nicely --well, maybe. 
Certainly with this show crazier things have happened.

I could easily believe this is what happened. I have no doubt Ben's mom would feel mortified to have her clip air on every sm site and tabloids. I have no doubt she likes Lauren a lot and would do anything to have the clip taken down. And even if they signed the dotted line, I think that doesn't take away the human feelings.

Sorry to quote myself..... Being more realistic and logical, and what I said last week (or early this week), I think Ben announces wedding date which is soon [this part is new thought to add to old -> and the guys are all being flown in for Bachelor Party.] 

What I also said in that same post is that 1 or 2 weeks ago (just after it came out in video when Ben told reporter after WTA that he was engaged, happy, she deserved proper dating and wedding soon etc....), a poster here that is VERY close to Ben said, (paraphrasing ->) if "they" tell you there aren't any wedding plans, their not telling the truth. Now I'm not sure who she meant by "they" I speculated it could be the show (CH), Ben or Lauren. Her comment makes perfect sense if a date is set.
