_wd75 Yes some of us on here watched that show!!! While it did not work out for Ben on that show it certainly did for Jenna and Tim.

His little sister didn't have to have sex with him. Nobody is forced to have sex. As for leading people along, that is the show. I can pretty much guarantee that we will be having this same conversation during/after JoJo's season...particularly if RS is right and she was all about Jordan from the start and everyone could see it.

Nobody forced Jojo on the heavy PDA. She was doing it all on her own with her monkey hugs. She's very much an adult to agree to have sex with Ben (if she did) with full consent. Stringing along was part of the process. No one forced Jojo to date a guy with 25 other people. JMO

I don't disagree. But usually we cheer families that give the lead a hard time, but Ben Patton gets lots of flack here. None of these people are victims, not JoJo and certainly not Ben H. JMO

^^^ I don't mind families being skeptical and/or questioning the process, but Ben P. and family went OTT in attack mode.  I'm sure many families have thought the same things or along the same lines as what he said, but they went about it in totally different ways.  It's the way he went about it I didn't like.  Had he done it in a more civil, less aggressive way, I wouldn't have had a problem with it.  If it was all for production and to help get Jojo the gig, since he knows how reality tv works, then fine it got them/her what they were after, the lead role.

Ben P. seems to be a good person (in general) and do lots of wonderful acts of kindness, but that doesn't change my feelings on his OTT attack aimed at Ben H.  It was uncalled for and not necessary, IMO.  No, none are victims and he and Jojo's family, in particular, knew what they were doing and getting into, IMO.  Just hope he remembers his own actions when his sis is in the same position as Ben H. was.  If some family does the same to her, I don't want to hear complaining from her family about it.  Cause what's good for the goose is good for the gander, IMO.  JMOAA.

ETA: we'll have to agree to disagree, Stuck. He deserves some or most of the flak he's receiving IMO, at least in regards to his actions on the show.

ITA, everyone going to the show knows fully well what they're signing up for. IMO it's hypocritical of the families to attack the lead for leading people on when that's the premise of the show. If you don't like it, you're free to leave. It's not a crime from the lead to have more feelings for someone else, or being conflicted.

I doubt very much JoJo will be totally honest with every man this season, she will no doubt be confused, and her brothers won't have a go at her. IMO I'm guessing they'll end up supporting her and not liking people questioning JoJo and her motives. Jmo.

I won't judge Ben P. the IRL man as it appears that he's a charitable person. That's great, I commend anyone who think of others less fortunate. The person he portrayed on TV should be looked at with a bit of skeptism And with a lot of hypocrisy. He's a reality tv snob. Watch Ready for Love to see how he manipulated his ladies and decides if he's a hypocrite for questioning Ben H. He knew the deal, the family knew the deal YET JoJo ended up on the show. Only proved to me it wasn't for love but to market her brand with their approval. The same approval she's getting being the bachelorette.

I saw the hometown date with JoJo's family and I seem to recall it was the "OTHER" brother who said the most offensive things to Ben H. In my opinion people are naming Ben Patton as the major offender since his name is more well known from being on the other reality show.

^ I was going to say that. Matt is the one who really went off and Ben didn't say much to Ben H. He was more so giving JoJo advice The one line I loved from JoJo's brother Ben was something like this:

"You're putting him so high on a pedestal and you're not even remembering how great you are too." I thought that was great advice to his sister - not just for on the show, but in real life too. Always know your worth.

Agreed! The other brother grilled Ben the most and if I recall correctly, Ben P. had a twitter exchange with Sean Lowe about him barely saying two words.

What's the other brother's name? IA, he was the one who was harsh towards Ben H. Ben P. handled himself well as a lead on RFL and was a perfect gentleman to the girls as I recall. I bet he gave JoJo good advice on being the lead.

Also, do we know anything about her sister? Is she from her mom's first marriage or is she a full sib to JoJo? TIA

Her sister is her fathers daughter from his first marriage so half sister I believe. She is a nurse at Texas Childrens Hospital here in Houston.
