At :13 in you can see Lauren's reaction once it sank in what Ben had told her. She started to cry. IMO her excitement chip is actually an emotion chip - same model and stepping level as Ben's I think.

IMO you can see her hold it back, she's such and open book, very expressive face. And then her eyes start to well up.

Sharleen's thoughts are my thoughts. I don't think he really loves JoJo, I think it's producer driven.

JoJo's date was actually before Lauren's. They chose to air JoJo's date last, though.

They knew that Lauren was going to tell him she loved him and it might be too late for any suspense, AC. I believe they put Jojo's FD before Lauren's for this reason. I doubt they thought he'd say ILY so must have been a bonus in their eyes. Other than timing, I'm sure Sharleen's right.

For those asking if Ben and his final pick have already broken up or there’s trouble in Paradise, well, not that I needed People Magazine’s confirmation since I’ve been telling you all season they’re still together, but Ben admitted in an interview on “Good Morning America” this morning that he’s engaged. So this whole two “I love you’s” really isn’t that big of a deal anymore since by the time the finale rolls around, we’ll be almost 4 months removed from the day the proposal happened. (SPOILER): I’m guessing JoJo is over it. Sure, she’ll have questions for him, but I guarantee you the audience of this show is more up in arms about what Ben said than she is. Always keep in mind, and something I drill into your head season after season after season – this is a television show. There’s no need to care so much about people you know so little about. I’m sure it hurt at the time, but JoJo is just fine. I’m sure it doesn’t bother her nearly as much as it did. Oh they’ll make a huge deal out of Ben confronting JoJo at the ATFR for the first time since that day almost 4 months ago, but in the end, he’s happy and engaged to Lauren so ultimately it won’t matter.

I actually think they had very little doubt that - given the right circumstances - Ben was going to tell JoJo he loved her because IMO they engineered it to happen. So why?

They knew that Ben has been chasing Lauren since the M&G, and by the time of Warsaw they knew also that Lauren was in love with Ben. And - IMO - they had a very good reason to believe that if Lauren told Ben she was in love with him, Ben would say it back - because he wanted to make certain she would stay until the end. I think we must remember what show Ben was on before - it was in Ben's room that K told S he was the one before even the middle of filming - likely because K wanted to make sure S stayed around so she could pick him. While that created a problem, I think Ben understood exactly why K did what she did it and now he's in her position with the same problem - how to make sure the one he wanted wouldn't leave early. They kept Lauren from saying ILY to Ben as long as they could, but once unchaperoned in the FS they couldn't stop her from saying anything she wanted to say, and IMO they had very good reasons to believe Ben was going to say it back to her and pretty much shut completely down.

So what would they do? Well, when they are running you out of town on a rail you go to the head of the line and pretend you're leading a parade - so they downplayed the chances of Lauren picking Ben back as best they could, and urged him to cement his standing with JoJo just in case Lauren bolted. Urged him to tell JoJo he loved her just so both of them wouldn't bolt. And the last little piece is scheduling JoJo's FD before Lauren's so Ben would say it to JoJo before Lauren could say it to him. And as the French would say - et voilà - they have their drama right through to the end of the season.

Thanks Lucas15 for taking the time to recap. I agree and can see this happening without a doubt. That's why IMO Ben was totally messed up. His emotions at the end, IMO were on the verge of breakdown, he was relieved it was almost over.
