I think that they were trying to give Jubilee the "bad edit" here and it backfired, but I think that if Amanda, Lauren B, or any of the other girls had something bad to say about her, they would have included it to make their case. They showed Whitney badmouthing Britt last season and Shawn badmouthing Nick and Justin and maybe others, so I don't think that they have this thing about protecting F1s. Like I said, I'll wait and see but Caila just reminded me of all those girls I know that pretend to be so sweet and innocent to your face, while gossiping behind your back.

Caila didn't make the comment to Amber, she was talking with the other women about what Amber was doing. I really didn't get the impression that she was doing it because it wouldn't look good on camera or to Ben. It came across as a genuine moment...more so than the crying earlier.

I really don't think they were trying to give Jubilee a bad edit. I actually think it is the exact opposite. They made her much more sympathetic figure by showing us her being ganged up on. They could have shown us the awkward start of that date and left out the part where she explained herself and her background, but they didn't. They set up the audience to side with her when they attacked her. Watching that preview last week it seemed as if she was acting like a drama queen, but this week we were shown that that was not the case. Tonight, most seem to be sympathetic to Jubilee and think the ones attacking her are acting like catty b*tches.

From last week's expereince, I was expected to change my mind about Lauren because everyone liked the little interaction between them and thought Lauren is normal and all, but I ended up disappointed, still didn't feel good about her about seeing it myself.

Anyway, hope to see she is there for real in this 1-1 date.

I didn't see Ben as being a goner like I thought I would. Maybe my expectations were too high, but what I actually saw on my screen vs what I believed from all the sleuthing and hype differed. Then again, I am not watching it straight through, I'm rewinding and pausing often. I saw him pleasantly surprised with Lauren but I felt like she was forcing it a bit; she initiated their kiss and said all the right things and maybe Ben needed that push. As the date went on, I saw him like her more and more and more and at the end of it, I think he placed her near the top if not at the top of his list, but I also believe that he wants to get to know everyone that he can to be sure he is making the right choice. I see him worried that he'll unknowingly pick a girl who will be involved in or be a source of drama. All in all it was a good date, but I don't see Ben as a "goner" at this point.

You make good points! Maybe I'm being too harsh. I did miss that moment with Caila, so maybe if I had seen it, it would change my mind. I think I was probably already biased because of her crying.

I felt like they were giving jubilee the bad edit, b/c of the promos and all the girls talking negatively about her (including 3 of the f5 girls), but you make a good point. Especially with Jason/Molly and other alum defending her and calling the other girls catty. It's just a weird choice to portay the f2 and f5 in a negative light.It'll be interesting to see what they show of her next week.

Nope, Lauren hasn't been involved in any of the conversations. I remember those spoilers during filming that the girls were really catty and were fighting over him a lot. Looks like that was true, because this is one of the bitchiest casts I can remember.

Her and Amanda were at the beginning of the episode. The difference is they only (or are shown only) gossip with each other as opposed to the others that are doing it in a group. She makes a few faces in a group setting though.

There was a heavy I like you a lot and want to know you better gibe. Its different than the lets make out attraction he has for Olivia and Jojo

Personally, if I saw someone upset and withdrawn, I would try to ask if everything was okay rather than basically talking cr*p about them to their face.  It's so unbecoming.  The one twin (who made the rude comment about Olivia) is especially bad.

It was JoJo, but to be fair JoJo and Jubilee had a conversation before the 2nd 1on1 date card even showed up and Jubilee was moaning and groaning that she wouldn't get the date and that Ben wouldn't pick her because she wasn't his type, yada yada. I could see JoJo turning off—listening to a whiner isn't fun. Then she gets the 1on1 after all and screams in all their faces about it which would come off as braggy in that situation. And then.....she started complaining because she was obviously (to viewers) nervous about the date, but the others don't understand that bc they would've wanted it and she was saying how she wanted it. So all they hear is unappreciation add to that the helicopter (joke or not) after all that and it would be seen as whiney to most. And then final straw is she already has a rose and takes Ben away at a precious cocktail party, where getting time to talk to the lead is apparently so hard to come by, to give him a long massage! So I can see being done listening to Jubilee talk about herself again. IMHO This doesn't mean that I don't like her and that I don't appreciate her story because I do. All it means to me is that she would've rubbed me the wrong way too and I can see how it could've come across as attention seeking even though as a viewer I realize it was insecurity.
