I love the cocktail dresses the girls have been wearing. The finale ones are usually my favorites though!

I wish they had shown us - i want to see more of the fun easy going girls like JoJo and Lauren H and less of the dramatic ones like Olivia and Jubilee.

Yeah the cocktail dresses are amazing - i keep on saying "I want that one... and that one... and definitely that one!"

Apart from Becca's weird dress at the chapel all the dresses have been absolutely gorgeous and I am so envious. Wish I had their figures too!

The dresses on the Kiwi Bach were horrible and ill fitting and the ones on Aussie Bach were a bit hit and miss too. Just shows what a bigger budget can get you.

Katiebelle the stylists don't style anyone other than the lead and the final two at the final rose ceremony. The ladies bring their own stuff and even share like Amanda and Lauren B did this episode. They do their own hair and make up or help each other. Only at the last rose ceremony do the stylist get involved. Sometime they borrow clothes or get it to promote a company or store. For instance, I believe Becca got clothes from Carrie Underwood's line for this season.

Well I'm very impressed then. Yes they would have to borrow them as some looked incredibly expensive, like Olivia's one at the last cocktail party. That looked like it would be good on the red carpet. I'm surprised that they don't have their hair and makeup done - they even did that in NZ. Maybe US girls are better at that than us Kiwi girls.

Thanks - I'm enjoying this season way more than Kaitlyns'. And that most definitely has to do with the lead.

I'm still struggling though, and I know its my own naivety having only watched 2 US seasons, with the producers interference. I was completely gobsmacked when Olivia got that rose. After @theKeptGrits mentioned that she's probably there because the producers wanted her to stay it made sense as IMO Ben was totally over her.

I get so caught up in the show that I constantly forget that TPTB only let you see what they want you to see. And it does make me wonder if they cut his date with JoJo short because their chemistry is so off the charts and she's a too obvious F1. I'm still a fan of my unicorn friend!

I don't know that the US girls are better at it ... I watched the NZ Bachelor and thought everyone looked great ... but the show has been around so long in the US that they know what is expected. They also know that if they make an impact they could get other gigs from being on the show and even promoting products on SM. They have discovered the tricks to get companies to give them clothes, jewellery, etc. in exchange for mentioning them. I give you guys a few more seasons and you too will be seasoned veterans at looking all glammed up!

it all sounds quite calculated! I remember being quite disapproving when Alysha from the NZ season was hawking all that stuff and practically begging for that watch she posted a picture of on her Instagram. It seemed very tacky.

So basically some of these girls are on the show not only to find love and their fifteen minutes of fame but endorsements and free stuff.

Gosh it just makes my heart go pitterpatter!

Yup, except maybe reverse that. They go on the show for the free stuff, endorsements, their fifteen minutes and love is the bonus. That's why there are so many who are "there for the wrong reasons"!!!

I'm dying to talk to an unspoiled poster - @theKeptGrits are you there? - about the last episode and Lauren B.

I realised that I might have been blinded by JoJo's unicorn dust so went back and watched Lauren's time with Ben at the cocktail party for a 3rd time. Do you reckon he was trying to tell her something?

He says "What can I do to help this out.. Do you know where I stand ...do you question it ever....don't".

That is some pretty hefty reassurance and I haven't seen him do that with any of the other girls.

I just don't know - as I think he has a real connection with JoJo as well and I keep on wondering why they showed so little of their date. Are they hiding the F1 storyline and then plan to go surprise! We tricked you! You all thought it was Lauren but it was really JoJo. Are TPTB that sneaky - probably.

Plus I think he could really fall for Becca. She seems really normal and a sweet heart. They had a very honest and frank talk and she just seems like someone he would date and he obviously isn't put off with her being virgin.

I just wish they would get rid of all the drama so we can see more of the actual dates with these girls. We've hardly got to know them at all.

Who is everyone picking for top 4 at this stage?

My picks, in no particular order as I can't decide on the top 3, are JoJo, Lauren B , Becca and... this is tricky cause I want it to be Lauren H..... but maybe Caila? Even though every time I look at her I think "teenager" in both looks and personality.

I really like and appreciate the professional hair and makeup the girls get done for the NZ and AU shows. And the fashions are nice too imo but what's especially great is it keeps the girls from having to buy a bunch of new clothes and some even go into debt for this purpose. I don't think that's a fair burden for US and CA shows to place on their contestants, especially ones so young. I do like that the choices for their clothing, hair and make up are their own, but it would be nice to see them each receive a cheque after filming to help reimburse them for their expense with the amount of reimbursement dependant on how long each stayed.

Yeah I'm really surprised by that - you'd think that Bach US could afford to give the girls some money for clothes - they can afford to cart them around in helicopters and yachts all over the world so what's a few bucks on clothes especially if a big department donated some in return for some publicity.

I'm bringing up this observation from a couple of weeks back because I think the phrase "self absorbed" fits Olivia to a T. But what she doesn't understand is that drive will only take you so far, and can in certain ways be counter-productive. It's like she is a hammer and sees everything and everyone else as a nail.

Like a number of viewers, I wondered why Ben didn't send her home this week. I like to read facial expressions and you could see him have a bit of a grimace just before he called her name. He wasn't totally sold on keeping her around. Either this is producer machination or he suspects something is not quite right and doesn't have the full story at this point. We may be seeing a whole lot more than he does.
