I think this is pertinent information because not many people would think to follow the rabbit hole that far - six degrees and all - how people connect. Sure, the spotlight is on Ben and his ladies; maybe even some family members (so they have to be a little careful) but, not Ben's friends. Ben might say, "Hey guys, could you make sure you not, but ..." Ben may not care. I don't think TPTB are going to hunt these ancillary characters down and make them sign anything. It is so interesting how SM has been a window to sleuthers. TPTB can only control so much (like the edits, which is what most people pay attention to). We're the ones that are a little twisted and addicts.

Let's take our sage soothsayer, Olivia, for example.  During Lauren's first 1-1 date, she has a PI where she says (paraphrasing) that she knows that Ben is probably going to be bitten by the love bug on his date with Lauren, but she remains confident that she (Olivia) and Ben will end up together.

Then we go to the end of JoJo's date and Ben in a voiceover as they are walking out on the balcony for the fireworks Ben repeats very much of what Olivia said, JoJo is a beautiful person, charismatic, has a sense of humor, yada, yada.  Of course, then in an ITM Ben tells us he is falling for JoJo.

Why do they show this repeated?  In case we didn't catch it the first time?  They are misdirecting us?  That is where Ben was at that time in the story?  or that was where Olivia was without the Battisties marching in her head?  Or, are they just trying to tie that date up in neat little package?

The editors are so goofy that I never know what they are up to anymore.

Olivia reminds me of one of my all time favorite contestants... Mister Sunshine, Ryan Park, of Ashley's season. "Peace and productivity... oh boy oh boy". None of the other contestants liked them but they are actually quite lovable people... except, perhaps, for Olivia's "teenage mom" comment that upset Amanda. OK... Olivia was a little too snarky there, but she USUALLY means well. Likewise, Ryan "supervised" the guys at the Phuket orphanage as a way of distracting them from Ashley spending way too much time painting the walls pink with Jay-Pee. I think the whole point of their existence is to distract the fellow contestants and the TV viewers from what is really going on.

A few things I thought were interesting about the edit this season.

Although Benny Boy is shown crying in the previews, we've only see him tearful twice in previous episodes: when he dumped Jubilee (before he returned to the other ladies in that Mexico City group date) and when Lauren's sister was talking to him. (I guess it was her sister. My mind is blank.) He told Lauren about it on their fantasy date and she almost choked up in surprise.

Also Jubilee's departure line of "I'm like the most unlovable person in the world right now" matches Ben always questioning himself if he is "lovable". Also when Lace left in an early ceremony, she said she had to love herself before loving somebody else. I have no idea if any of this plays into any other dumpee's storylines. Will Jo-Jo get mad at him in the finale or something? Sometimes I think certain lines are highlighted as some sort of "therapy" for contestants who get more upset about rejection than usual.

You are probably right. I didn't catch all of his cry scenes. Amanda curiously seemed less upset than he was.

They did show a lot of him with Lauren (in front of Mexican church, etc.) right before he dumped Jubilee. That was... interesting.

Annnnnndddd, got in deep trouble with viewers while TPTB walked to the bank.

I watch the Janz and Annie show on YouTube. They recap the bachelor each week and they are hilarious. Anyways they've not been able to film their recap yet this week but Annie made a short video explaining why and said that her friend went through airport security at LAX with Ben today. She spoke to him and said he's madly in love and happy.

She said he was there to film WTA but she could have been mistaken or he's back to film extra stuff for the show.

Thank you so much for this ! He did mention in his PI that he was head over heels in love with Lauren.

I've been wondering a few things and was hoping that some who sleuthed pre-season could assist in confirming.

In looking at RS's posts for this season, it seems that around episode 6 (maybe sooner?) he leaked that Ben was all about one woman. Did he name Lauren then? That's important.

Secondly, how far out from the actual filming of the FRC did he name Lo as the F1?
