Yeah, I totally agree. As much fun as conspiracy theories are, IMO, they usually don't pan out for silly reality TV shows. And...seriously, why go thru all this trouble just for RS readers and us? We make less than 1% of the viewership. The show is a multimillion dollar company - I doubt this is what they spend their time on. 
They don't care about us that much and we don't affect their bottom line. 

Agreed that simple is usually the right answer. If Ben wanted to date Becca, he would have opted out of the show and dated her. He knew about her crush way before he signed the contact.

Well, considering TPTB did a heck of a job with K's season foiling... including the returnee and his SM, changing locations for HTD, having a foiler in place that was believed by RS and 100% stated as true by him? Well, it was the doubt of that spoiler that led sleuthers to conclude it was a foiler season and correctly conclude it was a foiler because of that doubt.

And why would TPTB invest so much time bothering when K spoiled her season and flew her to Chi-town (and Becca too!) and Shawn to Nashville. And why TPTB invest so much time bothering with making it seem like Nick had a shot at next lead when it was Ben all along? TPTB do this stuff regardless of how painstaking or idiotic or not-simple it may seem.

I hardly think of any of the  as CIA stuff, just basic stuff, IMHO, but it worked for RS (until snapchat) and many viewers were still fooled about Ben maybe not being the lead. I am no CIA agent and to me that there may be a plan other than what has been speculated is simple and off the top of my head. Didn't even have to give it that much thought.

What I do, however have to give much thought to is this:
- So far it was said that 100% Becca would not be on the show. She is.
- Then those close to her and RS that Ben didn't want her (returnee) which, if I was close to someone I wouldn't corroborate this, I would say the opposite as it would be a negative against Becca if that was corroborated, IMHO.

None of that is simple to me. In fact, it is very complex and is as doubtful to me as "There is no F1, K dumped them both but I have no idea what happened with Shawn" as RS said.

None of this means that Becca will be F1. But what has been stated and speculated makes zero sense and is certainly not simple, IMHO

Where was it mentioned that someone close to Becca gave that info to RS? It could have easily been someone close to Ben or someone involved with the show, like a crew member, who was able to find out. RJ specifically said that she was NOT told this info by becca's family, and she would never share it if it came from them. 

And, RS never said Becca would not be going on the show. He was the one who mentioned that her name was in consideration along with 2-3 other girls, but said he didn't they would ALL make it on. That was RJ....and I think that statement was made b/c of personal bias (she loves and adores Becca and didn't want to think she would do that) and because Becca was keeping it a secret, as RJ said (probably mandated by production). 

I think that there is too much of twisting RS's words going on here. I don't have a problem with people doubting him, but he clearly did not say those things.

The simple answer is that RS was just wrong. He has been wrong before and he will be wrong again. To think that TPTB would mastermind this plan to throw him off just means that you think he's THAT important.

It is very plausible to me AAL!! It now makes a lot more sense to me :Nod: . I love your thiught process!

LoveActually, I believe TPTB would "invest so much time and energy" (which really isn't a lot of trouble if you think about it) to stop people from spoiling but even more so to give us fans and viewers an interesting story (finally) which will inturn increase ratings.

This makes so much more sense to me. I can get on board now. Thank you AAL!

It is not just for RS readers and us IMO. All that any viewer or fan needs to do is type in bachelor or Ben Higgins, etc, into their browser or social media app search and low and behold, there will be spoilers for them to see whether they want them or not.

I have zero inside information and yet I (with many others) "guessed" that RS was an idiot b/c his "I don't know anything about Shawn FRC but know he was dumped" spoiler was beyond ludicrous. It didn't add up. And so from that doubt of RS led to a "guess" which led to sleuthing by many that eventually proved correct.

And yet idiot RS never bothered to think "hmmm... this doesn't add up". So that is my issue here. When something doesn't add up I question it.   RS has demonstrated plain idiocy at just believing and stating as fact whatever he gets told and will use his "I was right those other times" as if that makes him any less of an idiot for not questioning things again and again.

I along with others "guessed" Becca was going to go on the show which led to sleuthing and she did. I was the first to "guess" that Becca had a 1on1 date with Ben and posted on this forum and she did. I can also "guess" that Becca won't be F1 and she may likely not be.

So whatever RS says or doesn't say doesn't matter to me. If I see that something doesn't add up or there is an outlier, then I "guess" other possibilities which can lead to sleuthing them. They can be wrong or right, it really doesn't matter to me.

What matters is that I don't buy into what is being fed to me or handed to me to believe. I use my own brain and it is telling me, aside from any info given, that the "guessing" and subsequent sleuthing regarding Becca proved more accurate than anything given from any "inside source" which only corroborated what was initially guessed and sleuthed anyway and would have been proven with time no matter who the source was or who corroborated it.

We are all choosing what we want to believe or what we feel sounds plausible. For me, it has less to do with where the info came from and more to do with what I believe was going through Ben's head as the new lead of this show. I believe he didn't want the drama of a returnee and how it make him look to the other contestants. I believe he wants to choose from a group of contestants chosen for him. He obviously knew becca was interested since she was letting everyone and their momma know via social media. If they had been in contact I can believe he gave her a nudge and politely asked her to refrain from coming on. Yes, her contract could've already been signed by then but the conversation still happened IMO. And this just seems like such a silly thing to foil.
