What do they put in the water in Perth? Everyone seem to want someone from Perth. The 2 Sam could Plane-pool together visiting their partners if indeedshe chooses Richie

Interesting to keep in mind! But for now I haven't seen any special sparkles between Sam and Alex. But she absolutely prefers him to most of them and you can see that.

We know that F3 are Sasha, Richie and Michael.
So regarding the other guys... there's no story there no matter how it is seeming b/c they don't get to F3.

Sam is very into Sasha to invite him on the Tango date where intimacy is important, not to mention touching and holds. We know she like Michael, heck even Tony commented on how much she likes him. If Richie makes it into the F3 (and I think he does), then he has to pick up steam somewhere in the next 2 episodes. So far, she likes him but is not enamored of him. Alex is a place holder - she certainly couldn't take Davy to hometowns!

Ok - I know that I'm a few days late but I've just now had a chance to watch the latest episode. So here are my thoughts.

I think Richie is a great guy (and any girl would be lucky to have him) but I just don't see that great a connection yet between him and Sam. 

I mean the sparks were flying from the get go between her and Sasha and if there's something between her and Richie it's on a very slow burner.

When I look at the guys I automatically think "man" when I see Sasha, Michael and Alex and "boy" when I see Richie and Davy. Not sure why - maybe it's just they way they conduct themselves. Richie comes across as sometimes a bit too earnest. Is that harsh? 

Anyhoo - my favourite part of episode 4 was when Sam and Sasha were sitting and looking at that very precious gift he made her (I mean that must have taken him hours to do!) and she said something like how did he know that and he replied that he knew because he listens to her.

That to me was an OMG moment because to me to be listened to and to have someone value and really understand what I am saying and where I'm coming from is massive - a deal breaker for any successful relationship.  So I just loved that moment. 

Also - as much as I liked want Michael did - I bet later that night it was Sasha's picture that she examined to find all the little details he drew with a big goofy smile on her face.

I think what is interesting is that this season is only 5 weeks.

So far, we have only had 3 single dates and have yet to even see dates with the other two F3 contenders Michael and Richie. So until we see Richie's date it is hard to assess the connection since it is a slow-burn rather than giddiness that Sam has had with Sasha.

So either Sasha starts to lose steam as Sam builds connection with Richie (and Michael, but I know he is not F1 so it doesn't matter to me) or her connection grows with Sasha and Richie's grows too but never at the same rate since it started later.

I also agree that Sasha is "man" with Sam and Richie is "boy" with Sam.

The thing is that I see "girl" when I see Sam. I don't see woman. Just like I never saw woman with Heather (she was more girl) but Snez was all woman.

That being said, Sam choosing Sasha makes sense to me since she may want a man who will take care of her and be the strong male figure she has always wanted.

With Richie, I see them as equals and growing together through life and learning with each other at similar paces. It's actually why I think they Richie and Sam best suited because Sam has mentioned last year and again this year that Sam wants a relationship like her sister's relationship. It's her role model for relationships.

Sam's sister is married to someone exactly like Richie. He is not at all manly nor is he alpha in any way and is more behind the scenes and adoring of his wife. It's why I found it interesting how Richie brought up role models for relationships in his own life and based this on how these people look and treat each other and that he wants the same -- which Sam does too.

So it is interesting to me because while Sasha has his sensitive side to him he is definitely alpha and more manly and not at all like her sister's husband. And while I think Sam is attracted to the manliness of Sasha I think Sam is someone who, while she may say she wants that strong male figure, I actually think she would feel stifled after a while and want to rather grow with someone rather than be at different levels where she is leaning on a guy. But that is just me and what I have gathered in the year and a bit that I have followed Sam.

I think I will find it hard to enjoy the date with Richie. Sam is most likely going to be scripted to use the same lines Andi did about how she can herself growing old with JJ and of course Andi and never meant it at all.

If Sasha is 100% F1 then yes it will be. But Richie is not JJ at all. JJ wasn't in F3. I don't see it the same just because the dates are the same. That's making the people the same too. I think if Sasha is F1 as is 99% likely then anyone she did have feelings for just never matched. That Sam was liking photos of Richie weeks before the show aired and when no one was paying attention to her season b/c it was Sam Wood's season makes me think she saw him as a possible F1 but feelings were much stronger elsewhere. Now if by a 1% chance Richie is F1 then that is all moot.

Just having a look at some of the diary videos on the tenplay site. Sam before her date with Alex says she wants a guy with an edge and who has a light and fun side. She wasn't sure if Alex had that as I think she feels as she has said in post interviews he is the perfect English gentleman.

IA - because sometimes a "girl" just needs to meet the right "man" to become a "woman".

IA - because sometimes a "girl" just needs to meet the right "man" to become a "woman". 

I guess for me... I would want to become a woman because of myself and not because of a man or needing to meet a man to become a woman.

And of course I can only speak for myself, but I want to do that legwork on my own and be the woman I want to be and become that person because of me not because some man will make me become that way. To me, a girl meeting the right man and becoming a woman may sound romantic or what-have-you but it is stifling a concept and goes against my idea of independence and womanhood entirely.

It really just is how we view the lens of things through our own life experiences and for me, I always prefer relationships where two people grow together rather than a dynamic of one "teaching" the other or making the other a man or woman. I guess that is because those whom I know personally whose relationships I hold in esteem have a true partnership and they grow with each other.

That being said, I for sure think Sasha is F1 and that Sam is with him. And I think for her she will be happy with her choice hopefully down the road it turns into a life partner and she will not need to become a woman because of someone but grow with someone.

I think there is a difference between Sam wanting to have a relationship like her sister's and Sam needing a relationship like that.
Example: I would love to have a relationship like my cousin and his fiancée but I know I could never be with someone like his fiancée because I need to have another type of person but I still want someone who will make me laugh and stand by my side.

I think when Sam's talking about wanting a relationship like her sister's she is not being literal, I think she just want the feeling and the closeness and love that that kind of amazing relationship has.
I think it's more of the feeling than the actual literal person.
