I like historical romance and am currently reading The Last Hellion by Loretta Chase. I enjoyed reading The Lord of Scoundrels that she wrote, so I thought I'd give this one a try too.
I read a lot of Paranormal romance novels by Christine Feehan she has this Dark series which is really good! Also an old series Roseanne Bittner the Savage Destiny series about the Oregon trail it's so good to me......
I made a note of these two authors LL, as I liked the Twilight series and Sookie Stackhouse books.

Hey Kasha, what are "cozies"?

Mysteries that are pretty easy on your nerves. There are a ton of new authors out there, but Lillian Jackson Braun used to do the cat series with Jim Qwilleran. Easy to read, easy to figure out. Just something to mellow out with. Now they have those cook book cozies, antique cozies, just about any subject attached to a light mystery. I guess Sue Grafton could even be in that category.
I can't stand romances or "bodice rippers", but then is that any wonder considering the source?(me) Chick lit pushes my limits, too.

For anyone thinking about reading Sean Lowe's book when it comes out in February, you can pre-order it on Amazon now and use the 30% off code HOLIDAY30. I did and that made the cost just $12.61

Thank you.
But I think I would rather get food poisoning. Or root canal. Tied there.

HaHa Kasha, you crack me up! What about root canal and food poisoning simultaneously?

LL, I just ordered a used copy of the first book in the Savage Destiny series. I think it will be right up my alley.

I will admit most of my reading is sports related books, but when I go on vacation, I love a good romance novel or two to pass the time. My sister has given me a few Jill Shalvis books in the Lucky Harbor series that were great beach reads. Now they aren't the best books out there, but I was entertained and they were quick reads.

Laura Kinsale is my favorite romance author. "Flowers After The Storm" is historical romance, but really transcends the genre completely.

I've never been a romance fan. I love my mysteries and also read other books for my book club. We just read Orphan Train which was pretty good.

I have Orphan Train here in my stack to read some day soon. I better get off this forum and get to reading these books because I think once The Bachelor starts airing in January I will have a much harder time tearing myself away.
