Re: Books - Discussion
Yay! was hoping you guys would open up a book thread. I've already told san who I liked reading in terms of romance but I also like thrillers too-
Thriller authors I recommend if you like history or archeology-
Matthew Reilley, Andy McDermott, Raymond Khoury, Will Adams, C.S. Graham, Paul Christopher, Dan Brown.

I have been wanting a book thread. I tried reading the book thread at fort but any talk about romance books was not wanted only deep thinking books. I guess I will start today I am finishing up on a book by Cindy Gerard called With No Remorse. It is the sixth book in a series about black ops guys. Next on my list is Justice by Karen Robards.

I am going to read, Heaven Is For Real when I go on my next vacation in about a month. I've heard that it's really good.

Have you read any of Suzanne Brockmann's books? She has a couple different series about a team of Navy seals. They are really good!

I read many of them and really liked them, but lately they don't seem as good to me as before. She made me get on a Navy SEAL research kick several years ago. I get strange research obsessions. :study: From SEALs to Bachelorette endings. Too funny.

That's so funny you say that. I did the same thing! Pretty fascinating to read what these guys can really do. I agree about the last few books. Once she started getting away from the main characters she started with, they aren't quite as good. Although I did love Max and Gina's story!

No Way! It makes for interesting reading. From SEALs, then I got into Lebanon hostage situations and my reading choices just got more disturbing from there...But, that was a couple of years ago. I seem to either like light romance reading (or some thrillers) or pure nonfiction - like history, bio anthr, Jared Diamond etc. For contemporary romance, I love Susan Elizabeth Phillips and like Rachel Gibson and Jennifer Cruise's older stuff. I enjoy humor in my romance i love u . Do you also like historical romance? For historical, I like Eloisa James, Julia Quinn, Kieran Kramer's and Susan MacLean's first books and several others. I read way too many of these books.

Looks like we like the same authors! Susan Elizabeth is one of my favorites. I always find myself cracking up reading Jennifer Crusie's books. Love them! I do like historical and a lot of the Scottish clan books. My favorite author for those is Julie Garwood. If I want to read something a little more intense, I tend to read a lot of Linda Howard books.

Re: Books - Discussion
I have read all her books. Juls and Robin were some of my favorite characters. She wrote their love story so gritty. In her last books she has really been pounding the gay marriage and gay rights thing because of her son. She has lost several readers because of it. To bad. She wrote a stand alone book last year called Infamous. It was practically unreadable with her pounding her views.chaslom4 wrote:sweptaway wrote:I have been wanting a book thread.
