I'm going to take a wild leap here and say that these women don't chase athletes because they love sports so much. I'm sure that Josh is smart enough to know what their motivations are, so if he keeps on dating them, that's on him. So sympathy here.

Josh has not been a professional athlete for years, so I don't think it would really be considered cleat chasing for women to date him now.

Also, I think there is a line between a woman who has dated mostly athletes because that's simply their physical type and one who targets and dates athletes for the money, fame and recognition they get (a true cleat chaser). But that line can be very tough for men to recognize until after they have spent time with the women and learned more about their dating past.

Btw, I would probably put Andi in the first group and the other ex fiance in the second group. The jury is still out on Anna.

I would appreciate it if we refrain discussing the ring the brother issue and Andi as discussions end up going way off topic.

To respond to Chasing Pavements post, I believe an athletic guy, like Josh, is going to be looking for a woman that has an appreciation for and enjoys sports, someone who cares about fitness and may have even been an athlete herself.  Women like this are often going to have a history of dating athletes or "jocks" since sports and fitness are a mutual interest.  But you can be this type of woman and not be a cleat chaser.  Josh's sister and mom are good examples.  I also happen to enjoy sports, I dated several athletes, and have been married to one for over 20 years, and I'm definitley not a cleat chaser!  

So what is Josh to do, never date a woman that happened to date athletes in the past?  That could rule out a lot of great woman that could be a perfect fit for him.

I agree that Josh is smart enough to figure out what a woman's motivations are.  It may not always be right away though.  Dating can be tough, regardless of your age. So I'm going to cut him some slack and trust that he will make the best decisions for himself when it comes to the type of women he chooses to spend time with.

Thanks for sharing this Georgia Lindsay!! Sounds fun, and I'm so glad Josh is included in some of these Bachelor events. Love that he and Nick can be at the same events now. I also love that these other alums get a chance to know Josh for who he is, and not who he has been depicted as by the show or his ex. I think he could really hit it off with some of these guys, especially Jared (who he seemed to respect a lot based on his tweets) and Tanner & Jade, who share a Kansas City connection.

What's with the whole "one hand in pocket" pose that guys do? It's like "nope, we can't hug with both arms! People will get the wrong idea!', haha.

ETA: Tanner has a cute "nick vs. josh" moments on his snapchat. This friendship still blows my mind.
