We've had the F2 to F1 switcheroo (Jason-Molly-Melissa), the dump the good guys and pick the good-timing green mankini wearing playboy (Jillian) followed by the lead that cuts the All American tragic hero F2 loose before the FRC and has her happily ever after with the so-called Rico Suave' lothario (Ali). We've had contestants leaving-returning-leaving a few times. It's probaly best not to comment on here about last season's shocker

Yep, this must be it. The F2 walking away from the lead. I can't wait for next season!

Different. Ben's may look very "Tacori-like" .....JP's may be more understated elegance but a diamond that makes your eyes go :what:

Yep, that's exactly what I think. It's something that's never been done before.

That's what I think too San-- I think that he was expecting something but was surprised at the temper that Ben shows-- I don't think anyone expected him to do that since all along he's been so laid back and calm about the entire process.

Very interesting! I could see the creative Ben picking something with an elaborate, artsy design, whereas the quiet, passionate JP would pick something classic and elegant.

ETA: I'm totally going back and looking at the pic of all the rings laid out to see if I can figure out which is which! :P :P

interesting... it looks like Ben chose first? He has 6 rings to choose from and JP has 5. That seems odd to me, I would have thought they would give JP the first choice since that's the one she'll be keeping. (also, does JP notice that there is an empty spot there when he's choosing?) I really wonder about this process.. does Neil Lane try to steer them towards certain choices? (not that they would show us if he did.)

It's my understanding that NL does know what Ashley's preference is and who F1 is-- this ensures that F1 gets the ring that is the leads preference. And, although we only see JP with 5 choices, it doesn't mean that Ashley's ring was presented with Ben's 6.
