If this is true, that's 60K more than the next most expensive ring I can remember the show offering in the past, at 90K. I'm really surprised, not that ABC can't afford it. Maybe it's a sign that they really believe in this couple?

And I agree with whoever said if I were Ash, I'd be afraid to wear it on the street.

Maybe that's why JP has been working out so much? So he can protect her when they're out and about! :giggle:

I was wondering that same thing about two days ago. I don't think they'll show the ring for some reason. It's just a feeling I have.

Does anyone think that maybe Fleiss' OMG comment was about Ben walking away from Ashley?? It's never been done before right? It probably shocked them to see him do that.....Just thinking...

Yep, that's exactly what I think. It's something that's never been done before.
I guess next season, they will have to make it more dramatic, so someone will be pushed into the ocean. :awesome:

For Ashley's sake I hope the rumors about the value of the ring are exaggerated. Previous Bachelorettes have said that it's scary to wear the rings out and at least a couple talked about getting a more normal one for everyday. I think it's also expensive because of the insurance you need. From what I understand it's the sponsor, in this case Neil Lane, that provides the ring and not ABC. I thought the $30,000 rings were bad enough and well beyond the means of the majority of the viewers.
