You nailed it Alanna. I totally agree. I also agree with the poster who said Whit did not watch because she "knew enough" and had heard rumblings. I also think it is sad that couples feel the pressure from TPTB to be the "happy couple." I hope Whit is REALLY thinking things over. Chris too for that matter. JMO

I personally think things are just fine in the Soules-Bishoff family. Whitney is not only smart but also an accomplished women. THE DWTS opportunity has given her the ability to get to know Chris a bit better and not make the "big move", something that other couples didn't have the luxury of doing. If things were off with them I am sure she could fall back on the job is keeping her away. Yes she is able to work remotely but she could always say she had a conference or a meeting and miss a Monday. She is there and with family too. I think all is fine. The test will be in Arlington.

Watching him goofing off with Witney in rehearsals live every week and then seeing him with Whitney, it's like two different men. The former seems a lot happier. And let's not forget he was attracted to Kaitlyn who took her bottoms off in front of everyone and TV cameras among other things. I think he needs someone who can be silly with him and I don't know if Whitney can. I suspect she needs to always be in control of a situation before she can relax. It's hard to explain, but something's not gelling with those two. JMHO.

I think at the moment you can watch the rehearsals with Chris and Witney so we are getting to see more of that relationship. We are not seeing much of Chris and "his" Whitney other than a snippet here and a fan pic there. Hard to see how much fun they are having with each other when we don't get a chance to see them together in a relaxed setting. While I agree that Whitney likes to be in control of situations before she can relax, there is nothing wrong with that. From what I have seen of Chris, he seems to be pretty easy going for the most part and doesn't look as if he would mind giving control over to Whitney if that is what she needs. Once she is relaxed who knows how much fun they have together.

I think that what some are describing as "off" between these two is that they may not be as outgoing and carefree and media/SM savy as some other couples we have had. I said it ages ago somewhere, but to me, these two just come off as a lot older than any other couple we have had from this franchise...even though they are not. Both of them have serious careers and seem aware of the image they want to present to the world. As a result, IMO they come across as stiff sometime. Chris I think finds it easier to relax and let loose, but I think that comes from his upbringing and happy family life. Whitney had a much more difficult time during her youth with her family and I think that resulted in that need for control. How much fun she is in real life will probably depend on how safe, secure and comfortable she is feeling. (I am like this as well so I can relate. I have had many people tell me that they thought I was uptight when they first met me...until they got to know me and saw me relaxed...and then couldn't believe they ever thought that!)

I just think that if they were having loads of fun in private it would trickle through a bit at least in their public interactions. Chris and Whitney have been interviewed on DWTS All Access live during the show two weeks in a row now, and while it's an interview situation, it is pretty relaxed. Emma Slater is a big fan of Whit (even though she seems to think she's a midwife). Whitney has been very quiet and reserved both times and there is little interaction between her and Chris. I'm definitely not judging her for being reserved, I know I'd be a hundred times more shy in her position, but then again I wouldn't even dream of going on a TV show nor do I make friends at airports. On the contrary, I hope everyone leaves me alone. I'm just concerned because this is not the Whitney I saw on TB. Not even close really. It can't be just the cameras making her like this, she had cameras in her face for weeks on end during all kinds of intimate conversations. And a good partner usually makes you feel more comfortable with their presence, not the other way around like it seems with these two. JMOAA.

I haven't watched those interviews so can't comment on them but it's a big difference being interviewed on camera vs the cameras on the show imo. Everyone says they don't see them after a while but an interview when you know people are watching your every move would seem worse to me.

I'm not going to go into what happened on the show anymore because that really doesn't matter now. I'll just say that I don't think that Chris "settled" for Whitney at all. Hopefully they'll be able to grow their relationship once DWTS is over. At least I see that as a decent possibility with them unlike last season's couple (A/J). I really don't care about the PDA's on camera. It's all about what you're like together when the camera is off. :Nod:

As Whitney stated, she didn't need to watch the spliced & diced dates Chris had with others...she lived it. Chris chose the woman he said he wanted when he agreed to be the Bachelor. They've clearly moved forward in the last five months, meshing their once separate lives into coupledom.  If being engaged to a beautiful, intelligent, accomplished, loving woman is settling - then I need to check out that dictionary!

Do we think we know more about what went on during filming than Whit? I highly doubt it.

^^^ I have no doubt Chris is trying to see if it can work with Whit. (And she with him) I saw things very different on the show and see things very different than some post show. All is just my opinion, but Chris gave me the impression that he was settling....then and now. I agree with Alanna and a few others that the bubble has burst and "real" life is settling in. From the looks of things---jmho---it is a bit unsettling. ;) It is the mantra, but "time will tell" I guess.

I mean...possibly! She was only there for her own group dates and 1-on-1 dates. Other than that, she might have heard things from the other girls and, potentially, Chris post-filming. But, honestly, I don't think that most leads tell their F1s too much, in order to protect their feelings. I remember Roberto saying that he had no idea that Ali was that devastated when Frank left, until he actually saw that episode (Ali had told him she didn't care). Also, Molly said in a podcast that she thought Jillian was the frontrunner and didn't know until then that Jason had made up his mind about picking Melissa well before the final week/LCDs. So, F1s don't always know all that much. And, call me crazy, but I'm assuming that a girl who couldn't even watch Chris make out with other girls probably didn't have a frank conversation about who his first choice was, who he slept with, who he fell in love with, etc. I think she has a mentality of "What's done is in the past. I'm with him now, and that's all that matters". That's perfectly fine, I suppose, but I don't think we should assume that she knows more than viewers about Chris's chemistry and relationship with the other girls.

If this season had a Frank/Brooks moment, then yes, I could see that. But she knows he was really into Becca, and was torn a few times this season. I don't think there are any bombshells she missed out on really. What else is there for her to know?

My impression has always been Whit knew everything going in, and she must've had a pretty good read on the happenings of the house during the show. As opposed to everyone else who had no idea she was a front runner. She also strikes me as the 'must know' type of person. Didn't she map out the season week to week in a journal? I bet she nailed it too.

I've been curious since the finale to know how much total airtime their dates got vs everyone else's, one day I might have a look. I personally don't think she missed much because the show and story seemed to be about them since their wedding crashing date.

I think it is precisely because that decorum is often lacking that people do think that they are uptight...particularly Whitney. Today it seems that anything goes. The more outrageous the better. When we have the Kardashian nightmare in our face 24/7 and just can't get away from it, it makes lots of people feel as if they must express every little thought and emotion for the world to see...ASAP. If you don't...then there is clearly something wrong. Sad.

I agree that Frank and Brooks had much more dramatic exits, but I think that Chris's "last" conversations with both Jade and Becca showed that he would probably picked them if it hadn't been for playboy pictures and lack of love/unwillingness to move, respectively. He was crying when he let Jade go and his last convo with Becca saying "I want everything you can give me" -  not super dramatic, but pretty important in terms of how not ready he was to let them go. And, post show interactions (on WTA and ATFR) with both women kind of solidified that for me.

Personally, I don't know if I agree that Whitney was a frontrunner from the beginning or even after her wedding crash date. I think the fact that Chris took Britt to that Big & Rich private concert on their group date and came back holding hands with her in front of Whitney AFTER their date showed that he didn't care all that much about her feelings. Yes, producers definitely manipulate situations, but you still have a lot of power as a lead. For example, Brad always made sure that his F1 felt respected, adored, and valued. Even Juan Pablo and Ben did that. I never saw that with Chris until after Britt left.

Also, JMO, but the fact that Whitney didn't watch the show proves that she's not a "must know" type of person. Anything that Chris tells her will be "edited" in order to protect himself and not hurt her feelings. If she was really a "must know" person, she would have watched the show where she could make judgments on the chemistry and relationships herself. I also don't think she "nailed" her predictions - I think that, like most women there, she probably thought her biggest competition was Britt and Kaitlyn. She probably didn't think much of the quieter girls like Becca (who got such a late 1-on-1) and Jade. I would be curious to hear if she thought she was going to win. I felt like I sensed that super-confidence kick in at F4, but who knows?

I can't believe **edited** she didn't watch every second of the show. Of course she did. She's a professional woman and she needed to know everything that happened (was shown) on the show in case there was something appalling. She says she didn't watch it because she doesn't feel like answering all the ridiculous questions about it... Like, do you think Chris loved Becca more than you? People are so rude. Sadly those questions would be constant if she admitted to watching the show. She's a very savvy woman and I have a great deal of respect for her. JMHO.
