It's only speculation and reading too much into things until it turns out to be true, which let's face it, most of the time it does. Not always, but a lot of the time.

I still see something very awkward and forced between Whitney and Chris and it really isn't because I want them to fail. I have no reason to want that. But once again, Chris had a chance to be romantic and show the world how much he loves Whitney and it really didn't translate for me. Kissing Whitney after the dance seemed part of the choreography.

I'm usually not one to buy into conspiracy theories, but with these two I could actually believe they're just friends and she was on the show as a backup. That would explain the highly produced dates, all the props, lack of natural chemistry IMO (clearly plenty think they have it) and the awkward "we're just friends who went through something big together" vibe after the show. Sounds crazy, but then I consider it in relation to everything I've seen and it doesn't seem so crazy anymore. Maybe she was a co-star rather than a contestant. Well they're free to prove me wrong.

There are only so many things we can speculate and chances are the truth is one of them. If you speculate that they're unhappy and will break up soon, well, chances are high that after 30-something breakups before them, you might be right.

The reason i thought the going over to Whitney wasn't part of the act was because you could tell Tom was worried about how long it was taking, the man hates getting behind!

MO is that it's prime time TV which is huge money, so of course EVERYTHING is choreographed. Everything is timed to the second…so yes…I think everyone right down to the camera people knew that he would kiss her. I think it has less to do with them and more to do with timing, commercials, etc.

Trust me I think he always planned to go up to Whitney, but to me there was real emotion behind that hug. They're very genuine people, I don't think they are putting on a facade. I just think we're used to these over the top emotions and demonstrations of PDA and that's not their style.

Something about Whit and Chris just seems off. They give off the vibe of being "friends" and maybe the initial speculation that she was a "planned back-up" are true. All JMHO as always. I respect the fact that some see it different. I guess we will know soon enough. ;)

You could be right, but from my perspective there is no way there is enough money that could make Whitney, a strong independent woman "play a role" while Chris is on DWTS if she was the "planned back-up." I just don't see her degrading herself that way.

It could've been a career move. Free advertisement and national exposure for the fertility clinic. They filmed there twice during the season and now she's been on TV for a couple of times talking about it. Maybe she's in no hurry to start a family in reality. Just pure speculation as always.

We don't know what could be Whitney's motivation : adventures, travels (like so many other contestants), exposure to TV, showbiz, or trying the best she can to get Chris ?
Bottom line, for me, I could see a scripted bachelor season with Whitney accomplice and willing participant. It would explain so many things I couldn't see or understand in this season.

Anyway, when I see Chris and Whitney kiss I don't see a (newly engaged) couple in love. No passion. It's not a question of PDA, but the fact that it looks "blah" IMO.
Just like in a movie with bad actors. Once again, my opinion.

I don't think they would have done the all the media rounds after the show if it was a 'planned back up'.
