Good weather = people out and not watching tv as much and dvring. Summer = vacations. I guess those might be the same reasons they don't have shows debut as much in summer. I think big ratings weeks are usually sometime in Feb, May and Oct?

A lot of the audience also get hooked on the contestants and tune in for that reason. No matter if it's Kaitlyn or Britt, I don't see the ratings going any lower than they did for Andi's.

I agree with this. The Bacherlotte ratings are actual dismal whoever gets chosen the are people that will watch and the are people that wont. Just because you dislike Britt don't think that people wont watch her season if she gets chosen just because you are not.

If Britt is the one as I'm expecting I think the ratings will go down from week to week as people tire of her hair flipping, emotions, and OTT personality. She's too exhausting for me and I'd have to like her a little bit which I don't. Of course not everyone is like that, some people watch no matter what. I've watched every season since Andrew's although mostly skipped Matt's. I might tune in for the HTDs to see what the final guys are like but that would be it.

How can we judge her or ratings when the first episode hasn't even aired? I expected to dislike Chris but throughout the season I warmed out to him now I like him. I am not the biggest fan of Kaitlyn but if she gets chosen I wouldn't be surprised I end up liking her in the end. Des was a fan favorite but her season did badly in ratings especially after Emily season which did very well in ratings and Emily was not everyone cup of tea but her ratings were really good.

I do think that TPTB made a really smart business decision with the 2 Bachelorettes. Everyone seems to have a side, and everyone will watch just to see it play out. I do think that they have work to do with their Bachelorette seasons. Personally, I think Des is really nice but she was SO boring. I couldn't make it through one of her episodes. The Brooks breakup and Chris proposal were the only two watchable scenes for me. And, I watched Andi's season because of the guys, but I thought she came off really arrogant and narcissistic. I wasn't really rooting for her to find love. If I were to guess, I'd say that their premiere episode this season is going to have ratings that match Emily's premiere.

Yes, Des was the "girl next store" similar to Kaitlyn, but I think Kaitlyn has more personality, spunk, and humor than Des, plus she has a softer personality than Andi and will not come off as arrogant, imo. Beyond Britt's "pretty face" what does she really have to offer? She has over the top reactions and emotions, comes off as fake, insincere and overconfident and was not liked by the majority of the women in the house. There's a reason for that, and it's not because of her looks. It's because of her behavior. She is also not very well liked by the fan base. I know she has some supporters out there, but if you read comments on articles, it is predominately in favor of Kaitlyn. For example, People.com posted articles today on their website, "5 Things to Know about Britt" and "5 Things to Know about Kaitlyn". If you look at the comments, the VAST majority of comments on both of them are very positive toward Kaitlyn and very negative toward Britt. I think if the men choose her they will come to regret their decision and want a redo. I think Britt makes a very good first impression, but it doesn't last. Britt acted like a DIVA on Chris's season when she didn't get her own way. Can you imagine how she's going to behave if she's the lead? No thanks. I have no desire to watch that. Someone also pointed out on another thread that they have no desire to watch a season of men who would pick Britt over Kaitlyn as the Bachelorette. My thoughts exactly!

I actually thought neither of them got the 'Ette treatment at WTA. It made me think we could be set up for an awesome season of Whitney. But nope farmer douche got her, just hope he deserves her. But neither of these two were set up to be the ette, Jade was the most ready to move on at WTA. Too bad about the photo and videos.

Kaitlyn wasn't a sobbing, hysterical mess at the WTA. She didn't go up and give Chris and extremely long and uncomfortable hug and then basically demand she get to sit up there w/Chris and Chris. I think Kaitlyn's comments were meant to portray how she was feeling back in the moment in November when Chris let her go, not how she was feeling then and there at the WTA or in the here and now.

I'm so glad you think we'll know soon. For me it's very simple - if they choose Kaitlyn, I'll watch; if they choose Brit, I won't. There are two reasons why I watch television, either to be uplifted or entertained. The chances for me to be either with Brit are zilch.

I'm still pondering what TPTB's pr plan will be after it is leaked re:next Bette. 

IMO it would work better for the franchise to send Kaitlyn home.  She is very media savy so will keep chatter going.  In fact, at the supposed time the M&G would save been filming, on her IG account pics were still being posted in her "photos of me" section... obvs a busy intern. 
If she were to be eliminated:
- she would continuing snapchat, Twitter, IG and therefore maintain show buzz.  
- she could do some vid interviews
- she could be "spotted" with any of the former leads that endorsed her (basically all of them)
- her current celebrity endorsements (Sean Penn& Charlize, Nick Simmons, Anna Kendrick) make for fun speculation
- speculation would begin on whether she could be next Canadian Bette
                                      on match making with several former cast members based on past flirty tweets 
                                      on whether she would be on BIP

Britt has a sparse SM history, no celeb/former lead endorsements that I know of, and Canadian Bette is not an option.
If let go, she too could do interviews and there would be speculation about BIP and match making.

Overall, letting Kaitlyn go offers TPTB more opportunity to fill in the buzz gap between Bachelor and Bette. 
 Yes, Chris is on DWTS but who knows how many votes he'll get.  Also, JPG and Andi have left a void of 2 seasons since most fans are more interested in "couples that stay together" news.  TPTB needs something.  After such a polarizing announcement that somewhat eclipsed the newly engaged couple, I can't imagine they have a no news plan going forward.
