Chris H. did ask the fighting question but I will go and double check. We were talking about it on another thread and how weird it was for him to ask. I think there is a reason he asked. ;) Clearly Whit was not going to answer but then Chris did. Felt bad for her.

Jimmy asked when he was sitting in between them because he kept looking back and forth

Here is where it says Kimmel but if CH said it I must have missed it, I know he asked some questions that I thought were very inappropriate given the moment, but I don't remember a question about fighting.

I respectfully disagree.  Even Chris H. said today on Billy Bush's show that Chris and Becca hug went on too long.  They agreed.  I think Chris H. asked if they had been fighting because he "heard" things.  JMO No host has ever asked that to the "happy" couple.  Chris's dad was not following any storyboard when he said Chris wanted Becca.  Becca stated in an interview today that Chris was begging her to say she loved him.  Her words.  Sorry I really do wish the final couple well, but I have to keep it real too.  ;)

That was Chris's Job ( to get the F2 to say she was "IN LOVE" with him. TPTB want that from the final 3 girls and def from the Final 2.Chris did everything he could to get it out of Becca and she was the one who wouldn't say it. TPTB want the most drama and the F2 girl/guy to be so heartbroken (Nick) so they get the blow up drama ATFR. sucks , but they do. jmo

I noticed something today while watching Chris and Whit on the news....he wasnt holding her hand nor did he have his hand on her knee, like on the show. For a guy all over every woman on the show, his affection was off. Maybe he isnt that touchy feeling in real life, and just did it for the show....to add spice.

I have said that I was all in on the Whitney train since the wedding crasher date. I never waivered in that. However, I find the entire concept that anyone could be so tortured between two people beyond absurd. I believe it is all in the storyboards and that is how it unfolds. Some are closer to lovers than others but still I think it is a role they are playing.

That said, until I see the invites going out......they all stand a 50/50 chance of either making it or falling apart and they are no exception.

In their defense, I remarried after being single for 17 years. PDA were not in my wheelhouse with my 1st and even less so at 40 with my second. That was ions ago and while we share a great love we both are more private with our affection. That might be the case here too. We shall see if the invites get sent.

exactly! this is I have been thinking too.  Chris is still 'looking over his shoulder'.  He doesn't want to say anything that he perceives his wrong in the eyes of the producers. He will loosen up over time. Maybe he will even write a book.    And I think he really cared for the last 6 or so girls and doesn't want to say anything to make them feel badly.

I agree, Jolena they want the F2 brokenhearted at the AFTR. This may be the first time we didn't hear the dreaded F2 question. "When did you know it wasn't me?" So glad we didn't have to go through that.

As to the "absurdity of the conflict at the end" I think CH gave us an insight into what really happened in this TV Guide interview with Robyn Ross today in which there was this question and answer:

Chris seemed to be conflicted down to the final moment. Were you nervous about his choice?
Harrison: I was pretty positive he was going to choose Whitney. I honestly saw him choosing Whitney in Bali. We didn't really show much, but his breakdown in Bali was over Becca and Kaitlyn, and it had nothing to do with Whitney. She was always safe and the front-runner from that week on. I think he did a very good job of keeping his mind and heart open to the possibility of Becca, but he was more intrigued than anything. Becca shows you one thing, but can't articulate it, and it's frustrating for a man coming off a date with Whitney who is so in touch with her emotions and knows exactly where she is and where she wants to go.

I don't think it's that simple. I don't think he loved Becca above all else, since it's impossible in the time frame of this show. But I do feel like there was a certain undeniable chemistry between them that just lit him up. When he was trying to explain it to his family I felt like he was actually holding back, because he didn't want it to sound like he was in love with her, since Whitney was still in the picture and his family loved her. The fact is that Becca's LCD was actually after Whitney's and he looked like a total goner for her. When they went into her room he looked so so excited and said something about the day having been amazing. Then she couldn't give him what he needed to hear and he just looked utterly defeated. Like a sad little boy. It's like he was willing to take anything from her at that point. And then the crying in the PI after. That was not acting. No way, no how.

He did what he felt was the only sensible option, I totally get that. There was no guarantee of Becca ever falling in love with him, whereas Whitney was more sure and willing than probably anyone he's ever dated. Even if he felt more for Becca at that point, I'm sure he thought he could get there with Whitney once she was out of the picture and he could focus all his energy on Whit. All the logistics were in their favour too. I'm just not convinced it's worked out that way, yet anyway, and they've had nearly 4 months. He still seemed very focused on Becca. I mean their conversation felt more like she was the lead and he was the dumpee rather than the other way around. It was just strange. And he gets all rambly around her or when talking about her. Saying he was "in love/falling in love" etc. Totally unnecessary things. It's like word vomit.

I have said this all day and I stand by it. Their BL was off. JMO but I think they are navigating through some things. All couples do, I just hope their relationship can withstand it. Becca seems to be doing great and I know she is fine. It is fun to discuss the show now that we know what happened last November and don't have to speculate.

I know Chris H. did ask about fighting. He has never done that. I wish them the best.
