I agree. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the right answer to that question. I guess he's just unable to lie.

I think part of what made Chris so emotional with Becca was that her reservations cut to the core of his insecurities, that he wasn't enough, that his life wasn't enough, and that got him down for a bit. But regardless, as others have said, the real relationship happens after filming, and it can go either way regardless of what we saw on screen. From the bit we know of them, I like the idea of Whitney and Chris and wish them the best.

^^^ Except they have been done with the show for four months now. He should have answered better imho. I think they have a rough road ahead for sure but wish them the best.

As I have said previously, Chris is not Mr. Slick n Suave, and I think he did his best to not say something that would give away the storyboard and in focusing on that he may have inadvertently said something that many a fiancée would be upset with. I believe that Becca's position was no accident and that she was there because it has been the all Whitney show for a very long time. Becca took it well and remained classy because I think that was all part of the show, and she was far less vested than Kaitlyn. The newlywed game today Whitney listed her as one of her 3 best friends. IF it were really a competition it would be very awkward and that is why I put less than no stock in the long hug. He long hugged Carley too, after the WTA and she was on the list too. The third lady was Kaitlyn. Rather I think those hugs were congratulatory hugs from close friends that due to the Becca Chris storyboard were interpreted as romantic when I believe they are all close.

Bottom line for me is- if he loved Becca as much as most here believe then he wouldn't have let her go. He would take whatever she is offering. IMO, he imagined a life without would be great still and choose that route. The only married bachelor lead could not imagine life without his F1 even tho their lifestyles were worlds apart but he felt strong enough for her to risk it.

I respectfully disagree. Even Chris H. said today on Billy Bush's show that Chris and Becca hug went on too long. They agreed. I think Chris H. asked if they had been fighting because he "heard" things. JMO No host has ever asked that to the "happy" couple. Chris's dad was not following any storyboard when he said Chris wanted Becca. Becca stated in an interview today that Chris was begging her to say she loved him. Her words. Sorry I really do wish the final couple well, but I have to keep it real too. ;)

I disagree.  Maybe it was in his contract to propose.  His family was also putting the pressure on to "find a wife."  I think Whit is great and wish the final couple well.  All IMHO ;)

I think that was Kimmel that asked the fighting question. We also don't know when the family ITM shot so I believe it is not only possible but also probable that it was part of the storyboard. Becca is still under contract, so to speak, and let's face it they are all friends and anything she says today is of no consequence. I would not like hearing a best friend of mine say that about my fiancée unless it were a wink-wink conversation, and none of them really care because they all know the truth. But we all have our own POV and that is what makes this fun.
