I promise you can not post or read here as a non-member/Guest. The reason those posts had Guest beside them is because a member (at the time) wrote those things and then deleted their account. I hope this puts everyone's mind at ease.

Let's face it, when did that ever happen, if it does go like that? Most wait for a sign from the lead, Kitpyn knew and didn't go down on bended knee.

TPTB used sweet Ben, screw them and call them names, but not sweet Ashley, they used her too, remember that. imo

I agree! I imagine the day is just as stressful for her as it is each of the guys and probably moreso. She has to figure out how to gently reject someone and also be on pins and needles about whether the guy she chooses will chose her back. I guess next year we'll see the Bachelorette get rejected at the FRC. I doubt they'd do that to a guy ... They seem to enjoy torturing the women far more.

I think it's because when it is the Bach, he's the one to do the proposing to whoever he chooses as F1, and as a guy, does the talking in that kind of situation. When we're dealing with the Bach'ette, she is the lead, but she's not the one that does the proposing... the guy does that. That's got to be one awkward situation to be in as it's not like the normal RC that they're all used to. I want to see it myself, but one thing I do know is that Ashley is not a heartless girl... however it went down must have taken her by surprise.

I think the poster, raven I believe must have cancelled their membership to the board. I think people have to realize that the concept of this show is that people are going to get hurt.. no ifs ands or buts about it. It happens every year, and the lead becomes the scum of the earth for hurting a poor unsuspecting contestant. Sorry but thats the nature of the beast. We can all sit here and say "well I'd never" ... but do you think Ashley went on there saying "well I would"?? JP nailed it when he said on his HTD that at the end somebody was going to be hurt... and this year it was Ben. The Bach/ette has to lead somebody on and I'm sure it's more uncomfortable for them to actually do than it is for us to watch. And do I think that when Ashley was getting dressed that morning that she planned out how she was going to let Ben get down on his knee to propose, just to humiliate him? of course not.... it just happened and I'm sure nobody regrets those few minutes more than she does. I know "I hope I'd never" but until I'm in those high heels, I won't really know, I'll give her a pass as there's nothing about her that suggests that she's the heartless witch that she was made out to be in a certain post upthread.

This one is a keeper! We have been watching this show long enough to know what will happen in the end. JP said it so well - at the end, someone's heart will be broken. He was willing for it to possibly be him and so he put his heart out there. So did Ben. They are both great guys and Ashley was fortunate to have them as her final two. I will never understand why some feel it is the end of the world or life and death. We already know that both JP and Ben have moved on with their lives. No one died, no one had a breakdown and had to disappear and crawl into a cave and hide! It is painful, there's no denying it. But the ones who have been rejected have managed to be very resilient and are able to go on with their lives and find their true love.

Reading the recap for the finale, it seems that Ben put himself in his own bubble and basically thought he had it because he didn't allow himself to think about the other guys or worry the way JP did. So, he kinda owns that. Good for him. I thought that was Jeremy's fatal flaw as far as being blind sided by his elimination. I also think that Ames did the same thing. It seems to have worked for Roberto but then they only showed Frank obsessing about Ali so we don't know if Roberto had anxious moments or not. I don't think you have to make yourself sick but I don't think it's normal not to size up the others and try to stay aware of what's going on.

BTW, one of my twitter pals dm'd me and said that Nick said that JP had a bad temper and he was nothing like we see on TV. Do you think that is a personal beef or a global opinion? We've only heard nice things so far from most folks - except for when Lucas ragged about him.
