I'm not sure if they're live or fake, but people who buy followers were affected when IG deleted millions of accounts a few months back. Some d listers lost huge amounts like half of their followers, someone posted in Andi's thread at the time that hers dropped insignificantly (under 20k? Can't remember).

I'm assuming hers are due to the finale and buzz from the Nick fiasco probably helped.

:hidingchair I'm a diehard Nick fan so I'd have preferred her to be anywhere butt but.  Why Valentines weekend. 

Not that I'm keeping score, but that's the second weekend in a row where Andi is in the same locale as Nick, right??

I was wondering if he found out last week that she was in LA and planning to go to Chicago, so started following her on twitter to make sure they didn't run into each other.

I will jump in on the fake followers. There are marketing firms that can look after all the fakeness for you or you can do it yourself. They are several methods. One is they are not actual accounts. It's just an increase in numbers.

Then there are fake accounts, that you can actually see their fake account. Those are the ones that are being cleaned up. They have real profile pics that they've grabbed online. They don't comment, post, or like. You can tell who's fake when they are following someone who has a ton of followers, but they themselves are not following that many accounts.

Then there are real live accounts that will often promote their products. You can see them in the comments on IG's. In turn if the holder of the account, retweets on Twitter or promotes that product, it's cash in their pockets.

You can also buy likes. Again, its just an increase in numbers, not real accounts liking your posts.

I find it very hard to believe that Andi Dorman has over 800,000, almost a million followers on IG for being the Bachelorette.

I can't imagine wanting 800,000 people following me. There are days where it's more than enough just to have my own shadow following me. 
I simply don't understand this SM mentality. 
I like talking to those in my life. I text because in this world you have to, but I don't enjoy it. Autocorrect is a beast.

Thanks GA. Truthfully I didn't follow her numbers or how quickly they rised, but it seemed like they were steadily rising after her finale and the rather 'special' ATFR. Josh has a lot too but not as high as hers.

Her followers starting raising pretty dramatically before her finale. I'm talking like thousands a day. That's not natural. That was what got my attention originally. I have no doubt the spam/fake followers were cleaned out when IG did that mass clearout awhile ago. But I think think it's possible that she bought real followers somewhere along the way which would explain the dramatic increase even before the finale.
