Andi Dorfman - The Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - #2

Andi is going to tell us where SHE thinks the relationship went wrong and how THEIR relationship went off track? Wasn't Josh in the relationship too and maybe has a perspective about what went wrong? I smell a very one sided attempt at MeAndi image rehab.

we don't even know if Josh wanted to be interviewed or not, if he was asked and refused, nothing. So I hope she tells her side, how she feels and how she felt the relationship flourished and failed.

In Andi's defense, it obviously has to be from her perspective because it's just her being interviewed. If Josh decides to do an interview, he will do the same. Perhaps we should all watch the interview before jumping to conclusions about how she is going to handle it and whether it will be all about her because for all we know, maybe she will be a vulnerable Andi we don't often see...  This interview was going to happen sooner or later, and I'm glad it happened sooner, because then the emotions are still somewhat raw because had it been done later once Andi was completely over the break up we would have seen a much more matter-of-fact interview.

Thanks. She is going to continue to get slammed, because many find her unlikeable. While driving today I listened to a radio show discussion of the Halo Effect. They were talking about how we sum up political candidates, but it applies to anyone. Basically, it means that we as people look at someone or something and if it is has a feature that we deem warm or attractive, we tend to give them the benefit of the doubt in other aspects of themselves. For example, if we like a politician's smile, we automatically give him credit for being moral, conscientious, hard working (things that have nothing to do with the one feature we are attracted to). But it is all controlled by our amygdalas and emotional brains and this over rides our logical thinking brains, even if we know we're doing it! I just knew there was a scientific reason why I continue to find Andi to be so unlikeable. To me, her lack of warmth and empathy (on JPG and her seasons) has colored all of my other opinions of her...and now I know why! Science!

And this is precisely why I am shaking my head at her doing a sit down interview with CH. She has no idea how poorly she comes across, even with tears, even with a mea culpa.

There isn't anything to hear from the interview to me. Waste of time. They broke up. Happens every dang day.
