I thought it was an incredibly genuine, gut wrenching interview and judging by twitter, many others did too. Those were very real tears, not contrived (ala Emily Maynard) and when youare truly that broken up, sad and devastrted that is how it looks. Your nose runs, you can;t stop the flow of tear. That was just incredibly real on her part. She loved him. She still does. It's just very, very sad.
But the words were all about perception and letting other people down. It seemed like two people who fell in like and lust and then got out of the box and when they were the two real people they were didn't actually really like each other at all.
To me love is loving the whole person flaws and all. Her words sounded like neither one ever got to that type of true deep love. But that is of course JMO.
See, I disagree. I didn't take it that way at all. She did mention feeling like she let fans down that were rootng for them, but only at the end. The majority of her interview was about the love she felt for him, and the struggles of realizing that they didn't make each other better or feel the support of each other. One can definitely feel that way and still really love the other person. I've seen it first hand in other relationships.
I think it was clear last night that Andi still loves Josh, even knowing his flaws, and that's what pains her is that she loves him but knows that they aren't the best fit for each other.
The more I watch her, the more I think she was in love with the thought of Josh and what he represented rather than the real person...who let's face it...she didn't know after the short time they had together. She had/has stars in her eyes of fame and glory and the life of a famous person or at least a successful couple from this franchise. She wants to dress up and do red carpet events where everyone oohs and ahs all over her, but doesn't want the work that goes along with what makes a couple a success both financially and in their relationship.
As an attempt to redeem her image, this was not really a success for me. I would have liked to see both of them be interviewed...either together or separately. The over the top crying did nothing for me. I felt like she was trying to manipulate me into feeling sorry for her. I'm sure Josh had to put up with lots of that during their time together. I will be curious if we hear any further response from him and how she will attempt to ride out her notoriety from this. Will we get more fish face selfies and pictures of her partying with her friends or will she buckle down and actually get back to work and real life?
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

It often takes a special type of drops put in the eyes to produce tears for real actors, so either they did that for Andi or she really felt those emotions. I don't see her being able to just start crying and have her nose run like that for affect.
I agree, She truly and deeply loved Josh.

Reconciling dreams with the reality is harsh.
Once they both tried living the reality of the other, it was too much and yet not enough to fight for or make each other happy.
It is difficult for me to figure out which ME is real, the crying ME or the kissy face ME or the grumpy cat ME. She is very adaptable it seems.

Well I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

1) Her public embarrassment for her "failure" to please the masses of adoring fans.
2) The same OTT crying we see from eliminated contestants in week 1, 2, or 3 who don't even know the lead but who are crying over the end of the possibility of finding true love. She's sad because she did not find true love, not because she had true love and lost it, IMO.

I agree. I think she's sad/heartbroken, but it's because she didn't get what SHE wanted out of it. I know when I've been heartbroken, I have wanted to surround myself with friends, but I would never be posing for ridiculous pictures dancing on counters, kissy face at hockey games, kissy face with hair extensions, etc. and have them posted to SM. I would be "licking my wounds" privately and then slowly come back, but that's me. She just has some growing up to do. I agree with everyone saying that it was downhill after the relevation that she slept with Nick. You don't sleep with someone else when you are supposedly deeply in love with your soon to be fiance.
