Wellllll, I usually skip Bachelor seasons and watch the B'ette seasons because I'm more about having a pick of attractive guys. This'll be the 1st B'ette season that I've watched where I picked out the F1 and saw the love story from early on. It's fun! :awesome:

I've liked the presentation of the Ashley/JP love story so far better than the other lead-F1 relationship presentations because we've gotten chemistry but we've also gotten a glimpse of honest, heartfelt conversations where they acknowledge this process, how hard it is, and how that can make even the obvious F1 feel. Not that the other lead-F1 couples didn't have those conversations on or after the show (I'm sure Ali and Roberto did at some point), but we were actually shown those conversations for once which I appreciated. It's felt healthier and more realistic than anything I've ever seen on this show and it surprised the dickens out of me that they actually showed it!

That IMO is actually a positive lesson for the editors to take out of this season. They did screw up the edit early with the Bentley arc and turned off a lot of people but at least they handled the Ashley/JP interactions pretty well and showed us a viable, real couple.

I wish Ashley and JP the best after the show! I feel like I've seen why 2 imperfectly charming people are right for each other and I hope the show keeps showing us that and they're able to carry that forward together.

Finally had a minute to read all of RS and his reader email responses.
He said that Ashley and JP have been spendings their weekends together.
Maybe RS may has good source in NYC? His grandmother lives in NYC.

Q: is ashley back in school? do you know what ashley is doing this summer?

RS: "She had a few credits to finish up this summer. Finishing up her credits. And watching the show.

JP and Ashley are my favorite couple too! First time on the Bachelorette since Trista and Ryan that I cared and the bette picked the one I wanted.

I love two things. I think she always called JP "cute" - she says it on multiple dates, and like 5 times at the HTD. Don't recall her ever calling the other guys cute. Second - I love how she said sex was important to making a relationship last in that Philly interview. This seems to insinuate that they are getting along very well intimately and since they are always making out on this show it's another indicator that he is F1.

The whole point of Bentley was to provide the Heartbreak Story for Ashley and demonstrate that she and JP are on "the same track". I also think her family didn't understand the Bentley drama at the time and needed it shown to them.

I think one reason this season was edited with The Love Story up front was partly for Ashley's family. Hopefully, everything gets settled by FRC... maybe all of the sisterly shoutfest is over within two days and everybody is happy in the end. If not, than this explains why the edit of JP has been flawless, his hometown family very supportive and the strong emphasis on "we" and "us".

Bottom line, Chrystie supports Ashley's decision now. Wonder if she'll be at ATFR?

In addition, we have all of these death/bad break-up stories: Ben, William and Ames losing their fathers, Mickey his mother, West his wife, Lucas having a bitter divorce... No doubt, we will hear about Ashley's ex in the finale. Perhaps Jordan resembles him too much for Chrystie's comfort? Just a wild guess here. No clue how it will play out.

She called him cute when they were putting on their rollerskates and when he fell. It was adorable. Can't wait to count how many times she calls him cute in the next 2 episodes. Another word she's used only with JP is 'smitten.'
