Comparing the Ali season to the Ashley season, I think the producers had the option of "hiding" Roberto (and Ali's sexy hot chemistry with him) more because their F2, Chris, had more charisma to carry the show than Ben did, and their "bad guy", Frank, stuck around until almost the end, whereas Bentley (and then the ghost of Bentley) did not.

This season, if they had hidden JP's chemistry with Ashley more, the resulting show would have put most viewers to sleep.

ITA. Every episode would have been FLAT! That's why, there's the cupcake in the 1st, coin toss in the 2nd, PJ party on the 3rd, hot kiss on the 4th, sitting on lap in the 5th, The Revelation on the 6th, wedding photo op in the 7th, and skating date on the 8th!

So happy for JP and Ash!! She has made it crystal clear that JP's the one for her. It actually is so glaringly obvious in both of them! They're one of the most genuine couples this series has ever given us IMO. Who knows what will happen tomorrow but their feelings seem as genuine as it can get. (and thank you for that video of JP and Ashley that must have gotten deleted! You know, seeing their love story put to music looks like something out of the best romantic movie. It was THAT romantic and breathtaking. JP absorbs and breathes in Ashley when he kisses her, holds her, looks at her. Holy smokes, he is such a sexy guy )

So beautifully put. This is exactly what I've been seeing with these two from the very beginning. They're just so perfect for each other and are definitely my all-time favourite couple. Cannot WAIT to see how this all plays out!

Squee!! I know!!! No crazy ex, Ben has moved on and is happy.... Life is good all around. We did get our love story and it was so amazing to watch. :D

Alibearto have a certain je ne sais quoi that makes them seem like soulmates -- an unspoken connection even from the first date when they hugged just a little bit longer, they locked eyes just a little bit more, and seemed in synch almost immediately -- that mutuality of feelings is very appealing for me to witness... It's almost like neither of them had any control over the LOVE that just washed over them and connected them emotionally and physically...

At the same time I think Cupcake couple are adorable, theirs is a less fairytale, very real life kind of romance. Their connection is also somewhat there in spite of it all; it's a connection that feeds off of communication and vulnerability and acceptance in spite of each other's faults. They're a more hard-knock couple and very endearing. And let's not forget their passion... which is extremely sensual every single time...

These are very two different couples and I like them for very different reasons. Alibearto will always be my fave just because there was a lot of rollercoaster rides other fans and I had to go through during that season and then to realize the joyful ending was just a treat - and a great gift when it's frustrating to watch such a fake show that's all about drama... I've been more removed from the outcome this season cos I really fell for the adorableness that is Ben so I don't feel I have that 'fan' connection as much with JAsh...

Anyhow just sharing... carry on love story sleuths!

ETA: I think also being one of the first to discover the twiterpic and match it to the tahiti pillows -- this was the first real indication that roberto highly unfavored by almost everyone was going to be F1 -- plays into it for alibearto being my fave couple that was my first real badge as a sleuther! haha though I still mostly watch for the enjoyment :awesome:
