If that's the case, and he is in fact with Louise, why didn't he just choose her to begin with? I'd like to hear some thoughts on that.

From what has been said, Blake was coerced by producers and didn't think Louise could handle the media spotlight of being F1 so he let her go F3 saying to her "you will find love very, very, very soon". Getting rid of her F3 and not choosing her for the media's sake, as I said already, this logic blows my mind, as it makes no sense whatsoever. So we are meant to believe that Blake got rid of Louise, F3, so that she can be the fall-back girl as to not handle the F1 spotlight? As if she could handle being the fall-back girl who just watched Blake say the only girl he was in love with the whole way through was Sam (lip-service or not, he said it) better than being the final girl? I just don't see it nor do I believe it. If he is with Louise I believe it was not pre-planned and only happened for post-FRC reasons and has nothing to do with letting her go F3.
To me, I do think that the breakup was due to things post-proposal.
I happen to think he did truly fall for Sam and in the bubble this was so heightened to the point where he believed that she was really the only one for him and so he proposed. His post-FRC behaviour in South Africa with Sam may seem suspect (we have gone over it all before) but if anything, he may have been exhausted, mentally/physically/emotionally. He had just wrapped the longest filmed Bachelor season ever. I could see him just needing to sleep it off, after running an ultra marathon of what was his season. Men, if exhausted (especially emotionally/mentally/physically) will always choose sleep over sex to restore some sort of balance and health. Those reasons alone could justify him switching off. He seemed fine when he was telling Lisa she wasn't the one for him - it was only her response to this that made him break down. I don't think he was emotionally capable of breaking someone's heart/delivering bad news/string them along and their gracious reaction and having to propose all in the same day. It took a toll on him.
From what we saw, Blake is either an amazing actor, or he really and truly fell in and out of love with Sam, just as he said (which I find believable given how he seems to be someone that falls hard and fast). All his post-FRC interviews he talked about how happy he was to be with his F1 (Sam). And he seemed genuinely happy. I would say that there seemed to be a shift in his behaviour around week 3 post-FRC/proposal. Blake's last interview he did was the one where the anonymous caller called. He seemed more doubtful about his F1 then, saying "I have no idea what she is doing".
Who knows if he heard rumours of Sam partying and so these doubts of not seeing her bled into him just wanting out of the whole thing? Or, his doubts about having someone similar to him (or his exes) caused him to want to get out? He seems like he wanted the double standard where he could be a certain way (or allow certain things) but not wanting that again for a marriage partner. He did say in regards to Sam that her doubts/behaviour fed his own doubts. If he is a commitment-phobe then this would only cause him to have a justified reason for himself to get out. Or, maybe the call about an escort made him examine himself and that he owns a business in the adult entertainment industry and he felt too far removed from what Sam's life seems to be about.
Most of his ex-girlfriends seem to have dabbled in the adult entertainment business on some level (topless waiters, sex-toys, etc, etc,). Here is just another article posted today about a top-less waiter ex of Blake's... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2795461/the-x-files-meet-former-topless-waiter-blake-garvey-s-ex-girlfriend-raunchy-lads-mag-model.html
From what we have seen (even from the 'ex' in this forum) they are all either a part of the Hooters/adult industry world or at least are aware of Blake's ownership of a business in this industry. I just don't see Sam as wanting to be a part of that. So he could have self-sabotaged his relationship with Sam rather than face rejection down the line. Who knows...

Re: The Bachelor Australia - Season 2 - Blake Garvey - ATFR - *Spoilers* - Media & Social Media Discussion #2
I agree that the logic that Louise did not become F1 because of an inability to handle the spotlight or the pressure makes no sense. The spotlight will be on her in an even greater way now if they declare they are a couple.
I don't entirely think he dumped Sam for Louise. I do believe it was scripted to have him propose to Sam although he did have strong 'in the bubble' feelings for Sam.
He always said that his relationship with Louise snuck up on him, it just was not as developed as his relationship with Sam at the time of the F3 RC. I think as Sam said he switched off as soon as the cameras switched off with exhaustion and no producers in his ear. I then think he reached out to Louise for support, started baking with her as he said on the radio interviews (it had to be around this time), leaned on her and the relationship grew from there.

Ok. I. Need. To. Take. A. Breath! Seems the rumours are true. Whispers are that Blake has linked up with Max Markham, one of AUs leading PR specialists. My Twitter keeps crashing but there are multiple posts stating that the relationship had been confirmed. Has anyone read the articles?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like sure, I was already suspicious about their silence these past few weeks..but to have it confirmed by them in a video and a magazine interview seems so surreal for some reason. I really feel for Sam right now. Just as she seemed to be moving on, it's back to square one again. No doubt this will hurt a lot

Re: The Bachelor Australia - Season 2 - Blake Garvey - ATFR - *Spoilers* - Media & Social Media Discussion #2
Haha. My only contribution to this news is "Money talks"
They were waiting for payday/paydirt. All about the money. I half feel/don't feel bad for Louise. I said it before that that would be the reason he would choose Louise, good intentions or otherwise, it lines up with his choices all along: going on the show, proposing, breaking it off to be with a richer girl who will love him all her long life, getting a magazine deal, etc. instead of just using your free twitter, SM, youtube account to set the record straight that it is really love. Or, better yet, breaking it off right after the FRC and not dragging the whole thing. Production or not, contract or not. It has always been about the money. Louise would be the only sure bet of a ticket out of Perth, away from owning Alpha Male (he may have already handed it over to someone else). I say Sam dodged a bullet, big time. All those saying Blake was so silent and being so gentlemanly, that is nonsense when and if Louise and he can now reel in the cash together.
I will add that my reasoning seems spot on as to why Louise was not F1. It had nothing to do with media and her not being able to handle the spotlight. This was all post-FRC, no matter how they try to spin it otherwise. It has nothing to do with privacy either as Louise's mother indicated. It has everything to do with money, starting one's own baking-real estate business and rolling in the cash.

I wonder why Louise said in the video, that they can't wait to share the "exciting news". Is them being together meant to be the exciting news? My mum reckons Louise is pregnant hahaha....imagine that!

If so, I get credit for that since I stated such when the rumours came out... LOL. It will shock and not shock me if it is true. Talk about a Bachelor franchise first! Baby Bach. But really though, are we really surprised? I said it time and time again, he never wanted a life partner, he wanted a mother-figure who will just love him unconditionally, no questions asked. I am sure that Blake has spinned the whole 'the producers made me do it" story not just to his friends but to Louise. She would believe him too. Now watch them try to take Sam down by their exciting news!!
If he was as genuine as he claimed, he would have made Louise F1 no matter what the producers or some unknown force does. Mesnick this is not. The pressure for these two to stay together will be immense. Since they both seem focused on image more than anything else (Blake wanting to be the gentleman and Louise all Stepford) they will milk this thing till the cows come home...
Louise is on a mission to make her jack-arse look like a gentleman. Knowing her as skilled Stepford, this will be her moment to put on a show!!
