"Beautiful Chantelle's romantic, feminine presence is a dream come true. She has a gorgeous face, flawless complexion and cute Miranda Kerr dimples. Chantelle's fun, warm and sensual nature not only makes her a fabulous actress but a sensational personal companion. Alluring, erotic and very passionate,

Chantelle is poised, playful, and she creates an exceedingly exciting interlude. Well travelled and intelligent, her sexy body and brilliant smile will make you weak at the knees. Sultry and highly talented, Chantelle's company is unforgettable and addictive. Energetic and adventurous, she will make your experience unforgettable. Enjoy this sexy goddess's company asap, she is truly enchanting."

Surely she would realise it would come out? Btw why does jessica go by Jones and Jonas I wonder? Also I wonder if blake knew her before the show?

I am surprised by how few people (media included) have focused on this, or any of the industry connections themselves (they focus on how scripted it is but not the links between where they got many of the scripted characters/contestants).

I've kept stressing the industry (including how Blake would make an escort himself)... a lot of the girls on the show have 'dabbled' in such, in varying ways, Lisa included. It takes but a bit to find out this stuff. There was really no chance that Blake could or would stay with Sam... even if he really, really wanted to do so...she was set-up and his heart was broken, player got played, played others. Double-life and all (his exes have all been aware of him in this industry and the one ex dates someone who makes toys, etc...).

If one isn't aware of what that world/industry involves then it becomes implausible rather than the obvious conclusion (which it should be). All the 'he was being a gentleman not having intimacy' etc, is more part of contract than any other reason (even if those reasons are just as valid or true).

As for Louise, if there is any truth to rumours I am certain it will eventually come to naught, no matter how easy to believe the rumours seem to be - especially since there is already a precedent with Mesnick! But Shine will bank on people linking the Mesnick to Louise/Blake...maybe even spend some $$ to make it cover up the REAL scandal, which is why the bachelor himself, and contestants, all share history in the same industry (they chose TB who owned a business in such) so everything else will be misdirection, basically, since they really separated themselves from any TB franchise by their choice bachelor (and thus contestants).

Actors/models/fame seekers/wannabes are one thing and are usually what the TB franchise has (they all go into it with that being a component other than finding love as their reasons), but the industry that Blake has been in is a different world itself. Shine/Channel 10 took a gamble having their bachelor involved in the industry and having others as well. But the gamble is always in their favour - ratings/money. Anyway, without being all guessing/outside information/etc, the truth, or parts of it, will surely be revealed in the long run...

But he didn't end up being who she thought he was. Which is alright. So *I* don't put the blame to sam^ for accepting

I'm not putting blame on her for accepting, just saying that I don't really get it. I respect that you would have accepted the proposal if you were in Sam's shoes, I'm just saying that for me personally, I wouldn't have. Heck I made my own husband wait 4 and a half long years before I said yes! laugh out loud But I guess it's just my personality to step back and carefully consider things and not make rushed decisions, no matter what the 'moment' is. Don't get me wrong, I'm a romantic, but more a practical romantic than a hopeless one  peace

Floss wrote:I totally agree with the Miranda article above.  I don't have much sympathy or time for Sam. My take on Sam is she was in it for the fame and fortune.  She does not come across as the genuinely heartbroken person who was already to marry a  person she hardly knew.  In my opinion there are too many holes in her story.    I believe she knew exactly what she was doing right down to accepting the marriage proposal - the payoff was the jewellery she got and all the fame she is currently enjoying and all the perks that go along with it.  Blake is not better he knew exactly what he was getting himself into, and the financial benefits and fame he was going to get. Not sure if they were prepared for this sort of reaction from the public. But it will blow over and he will further his career in whatever direction he goes.
So of the other bachettes are also enjoying the benefits.

Hi Floss, I'm newish here too, also from Aust handwave
I agree in parts with what you said, and especially with there being holes in Sam's story, and lots of stuff that she brushed over. She talked a lot about her family but never once mentioned her mum, nor did she mention her dad who she apparently still see's regularly. Why the focus only on her stepfather, as if her biological parents never existed? I get that he obviously raised her with his new wife, but if the idea was for us to really get to know Sam, then there were an awful lot of questions left hanging. I think she also said to Blake that she wanted to live down along the Mornington Penninsular 10mins from her sister, but if that was so important to her why isn't she already living that close instead of up in the Yarra Valley? Sam has certainly been lapping up all the attention. As for being in it for the fame and fortune.. how many people genuinely go on these shows ONLY to find love? The majority always seem to have a hidden agenda especially the likes of Lisa and Laurina with their fashion designs, and Jess, Amber and Mary the actresses (there were probably more than these 3)

I'm not bagging Sam out, but I'm just saying that I think there's probably a bit more than meets the eye happening here.

Hi Ellmack Smiley   Exactly what you have said. So many holes in Sam's story.  But good luck to her for using the program to get what she wants.  Interesting comments in article below.

It's national tv. She doesn't need to mention her whole
Life for Australia to watch. Wow... Who cares if she didn't mention her biological parents. She may have had a horrible memories with them she doesn't want to mention or personal issues and reasons. Give her a break. It's a dating show. Not a life story show!

The point is that instead of offering an explanation of her family background and why it is so important to her, she chose to focus only on her late stepfather and led the audience to think he was probably her biological father, the only inkling came when she referred to him on her HTD I think it was, as 'the man who raised me', or some such. It just seemed there was a deliberate effort whether by the producers or Sam herself to only tell part of the story in order to evoke sympathetic feelings from the audience. It's like starting to tell a story then the storyteller skipping straight to the end without allowing the reader to fully understand why the conclussion was reached.

Besides, if you're going to voluntarily thrust yourself into the spotlight by going on RTV, then you've gotta expect that your life story will likely become fodder for the masses.

Interesting quote from Paul O'Brien the actor, in the article Floss quoted:

“I have always thought she was a star. When we were going out I could see we were both performers and that she had such natural talent and encouraged her to give it a go. But she wasn’t interested in the spotlight.”

Why would she ever want to evoke sympathy feelings from the audience by mentioning her step father?  It doesn't matter if it is part of the story or not. What Sam said was true and it really doesn't matter if she doesn't mention her real parents. That's not the point of the show! It's a dating show for gods sake. Just because she didn't mention certain parts of her life doesn't mean she is hiding something or there's missing holes in her story.
