Actually, and this is my own opinion, but I'm pretty sure the public/media would be just as scathing had the genders been reversed. Australians in particular are not completely averse to trashing a woman in the media and relishing in the opportunity.

Love how Miranda refers to Sam as a model, as if that's been her occupation all along. Show me something she has modelled?  she was only signed up, what..? a week ago? Brazen are pretty middle of the road, and I don't see her getting much work, but who knows. Just being on their books won't pay the rent, so she's still gonna need a regular job, but good luck to her.

Sam, who got to keep the $58,000 platinum diamond engagement ring, can hardly claim her heart was broken. She barely knew him. By her own admission they saw each other once after the finale.

And still she said yes. To a man she barely knew.. this is something that doesn't sit right with me. A lot of the bachelorettes have been saying they barely got to know Blake, barely had any time with him to get to know the man behind the rose. Yes Sam went on more dates than the rest, but with the production crew all right there, camera's right in your face, having to re-shoot scenes, how on earth did she get to know him enough to know she wanted to spend the rest of her entire life with him? Or maybe she has a different view on marriage than I do? Her hasty acceptance still stumps me to this day.

Either way, the unrestrained vilification of Blake demonstrates that we live in an era that has declared open season on men. Even the toughest alpha male has had to capitulate, which probably explains why so many men piled in on Blake, as a cheap way to burnish their feminist credentials.

Not 'men' Miranda. Just one man at the moment. And maybe the blokes who agree that Blake is a flog aren't doing so just to receive accolades from women, but maybe they're doing it because his actions prove him worthy of the title...

If I was in Sam's position I would say yes to the engagement because your in the moment the guy said he has falling for you and with Blake and Sam it feels like you could have seen a future with them and Sam's family approved Blake and so did she so go for it! But he didn't end up being who she thought he was. Which is alright. So *I* don't put the blame to sam^ for accepting

I don't know if this is true because from Sam's interviews it seems he was only this way after the proposal. Sounds like with Laurina though, he did plenty of the "switched off" thing when cameras weren't rolling

Hi everyone, have loved reading all your posts and view points. Can't say I always agreed but great to be part of a forum and people who show great respect for others opinions. Never felt that I needed to post until know. So here goes.
I totally agree with the Miranda article above. I don't have much sympathy or time for Sam. My take on Sam is she was in it for the fame and fortune. She does not come across as the genuinely heartbroken person who was already to marry a person she hardly knew. In my opinion there are too many holes in her story. I believe she knew exactly what she was doing right down to accepting the marriage proposal - the payoff was the jewellery she got and all the fame she is currently enjoying and all the perks that go along with it. Blake is not better he knew exactly what he was getting himself into, and the financial benefits and fame he was going to get. Not sure if they were prepared for this sort of reaction from the public. But it will blow over and he will further his career in whatever direction he goes.
So of the other bachettes are also enjoying the benefits.
I think it is the public who have been sucked in, to all this hype and next year when the new season starts we will all tune in to see if supposedly Channel 10/Shine had got it right. After all the outrageous indignation that has been outpoured on the various social sites.

Lastly this business about the escort - only have one thing the poster that keeps giving us hints. Just stop there is a saying here in Oz - put up or shut up. Sick of all the cloak and dagger stuff. You have the escort site web address post it and let us make up our own minds up.

I completely DISAGREE^ Sam is not in it for fame and fourtune.

Sam has moved on in life. She was crying for weeks after the heart broke so now she's healed. Why on earth will she still feel sad till this day on her Instagram photos?!! She is happy now and doing other things which includes accepting to take pics with fans.. Doesn't mean she is in it for FAME AND FORTUNE

Lol. Finally, someone else said it... I just didn't want to focus on it. I am surprised people are surprised. *shrug*... moving on. As for Shine/Channel 10, they knew about it. She was hired, along with Stacey-Louise and some others as well. They *acted* like they were looking into something they already knew about. It's why she went home. I tried to make everyone aware that there's a reason Blake did his last on-air interview when the caller called in. Anyway, moving on with the sleuthing of this scripted show... hehe
