I know I wasn't an Andi fan but I was impressed by how she handled herself throughout her season and even more impressed with her handling of the after show, so I was 1 of those who followed her after the show ended and my follow wasn't bought and I am sure there were pple like me that were waiting for her final decision to make sure she was choosing our F1 for her,. I know it is not popular opinion here but a lot of this show viewers were actually rooting for Andi and Josh and 700,000 out of millions of viewers is not far fetched, my opinion of course. it seems btw that these 2 can't win though, no matter what.Again, my opinion.
Me too, I waited to follow Andi on IG until after the finale just in case some off the wall chance Josh wasn't her F1 I was not going to follow her.....

Re: Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray Bachelorette 10 - Media - Twitter - General Discussion Thread #2
The recent discussions about Twitter and / or Instagram followers and the notion that some people may have bought followers intrigued me and my scientific training and experiences over many years kept telling me that you always want to collect data to support or discount any theory (an opinion is really a theory). So I went looking to see if there was anything out there that could detect whether or not followers were organic or bought. And it turns out that there is.
There are at least two services (SocialBakers and TwitterAudit) that will analyze the followers of anyone with a Twitter account and provide you with a report suggesting how many followers are organic / real and how many might be fake or bought. They report in slightly different terms and they measure slightly differently but the differences are only slight. They both make an assumption that purchased followers are accounts with blind email addresses and they either don't tweet at all (because they aren't real people - they are just dummy accounts) or if they do tweet, they tweet spam messages that have nothing at all to do with the person being followed and are not following any "real" conversations (like "I found this great new diet plan; click here to read all about it").
I ran both tools against several people we've been discussing. One of the accounts I ran the tools against is my own because I have an account but I never tweet from it and all my followers are all people I know with only a few exceptions which I believe are fake / dummy accounts (as if I had purchased followers which I never have). Some other accounts I ran purely as a test were Catherine, Sean, Ashley. I picked them because I know and have seen Sean and Catherine grow their followers but believe their growth is totally organic, and Ashley is an older account but with no logical reason to buy followers - her "job" simply has no need to do that. The results were interesting.
First SocialBakers lists followers that are suspicious (ie spam tweets), inactive (ie the account never tweets) and good (ie the accounts tweets relevant conversational interactions suggesting it's a real person with a real interest in who they follow). The report is in the percentage of followers in each category and are shown below:
Name Suspicious Inactive Good
Sean 13% 13% 74%
Catherine 19% 12% 69%
Lucas15 0% 25% 75%
Ashley 15% 8% 77%
Andi 15% 7% 78%
Second, TwitterAudit lists followers in only two categories - real and fake (they make no distinction between a suspicious account and an inactive account and treat both as fake). Because reports and results are presented differently and some reports take some time to run I couldn't run all same names but tried as best I could:
Name Fake Good
Sean 100,413 417,181 (81%)
Catherine 67,392 269,570 (80%)
Lucas15 private private (75%)
Josh 29,598 140,464 (83%)
Andi 61,650 249,714 (80%)
Now both of these audit tools nailed my account precisely - not just close but exactly correct. And each method shows that everyone audited has 70% or greater "good" followers. The spread for SocialBakers is 9% points from highest to lowest and the spread for TwitterAdit is only 3% points. I would say that this data suggests that no one of these people audited has "bought" followers.
I have looked for similar audit tools for Instagram but so far I haven't found any similar tools, but I'm still looking.

Just to add to that, and my experience to the fake followers. By fake, they can be accounts that started following a celebrity for the purpose of advertising their own product. I go through my twitter account often, because I realized I had people following me that when I checked their profiles had hundreds of thousands of followers. Their tweets consist of links only. No other message in their tweet. There's no reason for them to be following me.
These people latch on to accounts especially celebrity accounts in hopes that they get a follow back so they can spam with tweets advertising their product or porn or whatever. It could be that the drama at the FRC/AFRC was an opportunity recognized for those who what to spam. Otherwise why would the followers increase so much during the final show. If Andi was that popular she would have had that number of followers through out the whole season, and not just at the end. It's possible there were viewers who only watched the finale and started following, but I'm aware of the fake accounts because I've been hacked by them and know the damage they can do.

Based on my personal experience with following certain people who have bought Instagram followers, plus discussions about this topic elsewhere, it's my belief she bought Instagram followers. I have no proof I can show you, it's just that it seems all to familiar to other accounts I've monitored.
For the record, I like Josh and Andi. I have absolutely nothing against them. Well other than the fact I think Josh could afford to not unbutton his shirts so far sometimes, but that's another discussion.

But if that the case then people can argue that Sean/Catherine brought followers also, which I don't think but look at what Lucas has posted.... Oh well can't argue with facts......

I agree with you. Like Lucas I have an account but never tweet and somehow I still end up with some fake followers. It's almost impossible to unfollow your followers ( twitter should give you that option).

I'm not talking about twitter. I'm talking about Instagram. Sure right after the finale of their season Cat's followers jumped. Both their accounts grew thanks to DWTS. Since last fall, the growth rate for both has been steady but never a big jump to be seen other than a bigger influx right around the wedding which is to be expected.
Again, IMO followers have been bought on Instagram. I can't prove it but that's what I believe based on past precedent I've observed.

Drew Kenney bought Twitter followers during his season with Des. It was pretty obvious because he had way too many followers and most of them were just egg profiles that had no other followers themselves. It's pretty easy to tell if it's a fake follower or not, if you go through Andi's IG followers they just don't appear to be fake accounts.
I guess I'm just someone that thinks, well considering Sean and Catherine have in the mid 600k range and their season was almost two years ago and Andi is the most recent lead that had a controversial season that it's not diifcult for me to believe it's an accurate number. It blew up the most on the finale night and after that. Considering everything that went down it doesn't surprise me. She has promoted nothing through her IG and I don't see why she would buy IG followers. I just don't.
Haha umngirl, I'm not a fan of the of unbuttoned shirts either, although I'm also not a fan of the plaid shirt and the tan, tight around the ankle pants Sean appears to wear to many of their events. It looks like two of the hunkier guys from this franchise don't always have the best fashion sense. Their looks more than make up for it though.

I know what she was talking about, I just stated that looks like Sean/Catherine brought followers also, if you go by that data.... But I guess I should have said twitter...
