Basically, Shay wanted a mini her or Sean, someone who could be her BFF and who she could mold into who she thinks Sean's wife should be and how she should be. That's why Shay loved Sean's ex Brooke so much. What Shay didn't realize was that that wasn't anything close to what Sean wanted in a wife. He got exactly what he wanted and I think Shay was peeved that he didn't pick who she liked best. Sean isn't as close to Shay and Andrew now because he's married and not a single guy who was the only non-married one in the family. Shay and Catherine are friendly, but not BFF. The kids both love Cat and of course their Uncle Seanie. Catherine is really close to Sherry and Jay, especially Sherry. And there's the breakdown of that situation as best as I can publicly tell it.
As for the whole Josh/Andi/Aaron/Kacie thing, I haven't been following so I can't add anything there.
Umngirl, your thoughts mirror exactly my take on what I always thought had gone down with Shay and the resulting fall-out which ended up not being bad at all.

Thanks for posting, sounds about what I would have imagined going on also.umngirl wrote:Because it's been brought up, I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. As for Jodi, I think it's really adorable that mm now always posts couple pics of Jodi and K/A at the same time, probably not to offend any of the diva sensibilities that may or may not be running rampant in their family. And don't they all know that the real princess is and always will be their actual baby girl, Steph??
Anyway, I'm hoping that if that's the case, at least Andi won't contribute, and she seems so far to be on pretty good behavior supporting Aaron and wearing kc crap I don't think tweeting about him making the team is a big deal, even Steph didn't tweet anything and I think Josh "speaks" for both of them with his tweet.
Big: You know, Manhattan has a lot of beautiful women.
Carrie: What an amazing observation!
Big: But the thing is, after awhile, you just wanna be with the one who makes you laugh.

Thanks for doing so (and also thanks to landrje for her additions) - I was kind of hoping your radar would bring you to this discussion. I had found out about Brookes a couple of weeks after the finale when it was first observed that there seemed to be something strange in Shay's reaction to Catherine and figured out the same things that you posted.
As to Kacie and whatever the dynamic is I think it's going to eventually resolve itself without Andi having to do anything about it because I don't think it's Andi's problem.

I wish my lil bro was drafted by a team who was actually going to give him a shot at competing, but I guess we just have to be patient ...
Aaron needs some time to be seasoned into an NFL QB. The Chiefs head coach, Andy Reed is a great QB coach and I actually think this will give Aaron a chance to develop and become a really great QB without the pressure to play before he is ready and also to have a good team around him.
Being the starting QB before they are ready can really hurt a QB, some in the last five years who were drafted higher than Aaron and then didn't succeed or have lost their starting jobs. Brendan Wheeton from Ok State who was starter for Cleveland and is now not even on the team, Christian Ponder from FSU went to Minnesota and is now second string, Jake Locker from Washington who went to Tennessee and is now no longer the starter for them, Blaine Gabbert from Missouri who lost the starting job for Jacksonville, Tim Tebow from Florida who went to Denver and isn't even in the NFL anymore, Marc Sanchez from USC who went to the Jets and is now having to compete with another team and lost his job in New York last year, finally Josh Freeman from Kansas State who went to Tampa Bay Bucs and I am not sure is even on a team anymore.
Time to develop behind a good QB was great for Aaron Rodgers and can be great for Aaron Murray too.
I wish that Josh could see that this maybe the best thing possible for Aaron in the long run.

For example, the Pats (I'm from Boston) had 3 QBs on their roster. Obviously Tom Brady is their #1 and will be for a few more years, but today they traded their #2 so that their rookie QB they drafted this year will now be the #2, which obviously leads to more opportunity to grow as a player.
I think Josh is just voicing his frustration knowing there are several teams that have situations like the Patriots for example that would probably be better suited for his brother, which makes sense.

Wouldn't Josh know better than to comment in a negative manner like that. Wouldn't he know it's better for Aaron, although it might be frustrating at this point. Was there ever a realistic chance that it would have been Aaron chosen as the starting QB?

Ash2214 wrote:The Chiefs starting QB just signed a pretty hefty extension today and he's only 30 years old. Aaron is technically third in line. With the starter getting an extension, yet another QB ahead of Aaron making it two other players ahead of him, well that's tough for him.

From the interviews I have seen, I think that Aaron expected to sit back and learn the first couple of years. I think there's a big difference though between a couple of years and five years. And as i just said in the fan thread when I heard the announcement earlier on ESPN about Alex' contract extension my first thought was that it did not bode well for Aaron. That being said, I was a little surprised that Josh would tweet that. But, as we know, his protective instincts run deep where Aaron is concerned.
