I agree that it is time for all of us to move on and also agree with Albean that at this point most of us have our intractible opinions.  Nonetheless, here's my take.

Deleting most of your post for brevity and to conserve bandwidth; I've been anxious to hear your take, and your post did not disappoint me. A couple of comments:

I think Nick probably did himself a disservice by watching all of the show and being influenced by it in any way. The show is typically edited in such a way to point away from F1 and point towards someone else (often F2). So watching the highly edited show - especially with a bias for believing HE was the right choice for Andi, he got more reinforcement of that belief than discouragement of it. Until very near the end it just wasn't so clear what was going on between Andi and josh. Andi did indeed approach much of the season with her logical / legal mind - at least that's the simplistic way it was edited and that further led Nick to believe he was the right choice. Some (apparently you and certainly me, and probably all of those on the unspoiled side) saw through the smokescreen and could see it was Josh but we don't have that personal bias and conviction that Nick did who probably saw only what he wanted to see and what supported what he believed and wanted to believe. I believe as the producers saw how Nick was they fed into that (because this is exactly what they do) to leave Nick even less room for an alternate outcome. They always want a doubtful F1 and an overconfident F2. It's barbaric I know, but that's the show.

I totally concur with your last paragraph. Josh was not the safe choice; he was the risk that required a huge leap of faith to accept. I had a good friend who (coincidentally) played for Milwaukee and came up through the same farm team that Josh played for. He was in his late 30s and single and over a couple of drinks on a business trip I asked him why. His answer was that he had plenty of opportunities - ALL the players did (lots of groupies!) - but the single ones were always afraid to commit to one because there might be someone better at the next away game. Josh is night and day different from that mentality - he's a guy who hasn't really played the field because he wants "the one". Andi had to buy into that story and trust Josh and what he said and STILL take a huge leap of faith. Looks like it might just pay off for her.

There is one that's far more descriptive and disgusting, but I won't get into too much detail. Also, there are tweets of pictures from the People magazine shoot and instead of Josh's face, this person pasted Nick's face in there instead.

And this is why I dislike Nick. Yuck.

Between everyone associated with them, all the Dawg fans, as well as Kelly doing the dirty work on behalf of Andi trashing Nick, before and during airing. There are so many more, there is a list in the archives.

You raise a very good point which I would amplify by saying that IMHO the show doesn't care about spoilers anyway - they help, not hurt. Look at it this way:

- take the number of members of this forum and add what you think the number of guest readers might be
- multiply that by the number of other similar forums
- add to that what you think the readers of RealitySteve might be

And compare that to the number of viewers each week. It's a small percentage. We have to ask ourselves - do they really care that much???

Also consider - those "die hard" viewers are probably the most loyal viewers of the show each week. And those who aren't fanatical posters or readers but hear of or read the spoilers in tabloids tune in to see if the spoilers are right or not. Is this not a good thing for the show???

And consider - how many people ONLY watch to see who wins and would not watch if they already knew? I think that's a small number. As long as there remains SOME doubt about the ending those viewers are still likely to watch, and there is ALWAYS some doubt. There were probably as many here who argued that the plane video was fake as there were those who believed it was genuine. Spoilers just give us something to talk about and MORE reason to watch the show.

Similarly so does a buzz about the show in social media. It's all publicity and all more likely to draw in viewership than turn it away. SM is a clue but again seldom is there certainty; the guessing game always goes on.

I believe over the years the show has learned this and they count on spoilers, SM clues, tabloid articles and all the "somewhat controlled" leaks. Just like the remora is good for the shark, spoilers, board fans and RS readers are all symbiotic bringing in more viewers than get turned away and viewer support and ratings is where the money is.

I wonder which if any of these will be the "Reid" of this season. That was an avalanche to be sure. And I'm pretty sure tptb and even Jillian didn't expect those reactions it all.

Two wrongs don't make it right. Nick violated his contract as well as many more. Days after the FRC MM squealed to all who could read her fb(and that's anyone interested as she still has open privacy settings) of an imminent engagement.
The nail in the coffin was when people from the Athens area noted it was "common knowledge" Josh was F1. Common knowledge--not what I would call confidential info. I would have to go back to find the date on that post when I commented on it and it's not that important to me to do so, but for me that was it.
So many looselips this season, but it was all "ok"! Too many times we heard this is the wave of the future sm can not be contained, etc. Nope--two wrongs don't make it right. Snapchat anyone?
I hope this season is not the norm. IDK. How do you put the cow back in the barn? The 5 million doesn't seem to be a threat.

But I remember during Jason's season it was common knowledge here in Southlake--a suburb of Dallas--that Melissa was not final 1 anymore and was back with her now husband by Christmas. It was so hard watching the show knowing how it all played out. A few were told and they told a few and so on and so on. Molly and Jason were dating and seeing each other exclusively before the show even began. Melissa was happily back with her ex, and word spread quick. This was also before SM took over. Now things get out pretty quick with a click on the computer.

But still some people still didn't believe Josh was F1, so no matter how many loose lips this season, starting with Nick the season was still down to the last episode for some, which was unbelievable to me.... For me SM is yet another tool in sleuthing some don't like it but I do, the SM craze started with 1F an I don't think it's going to change.

The more of that person's tweets you read, the creepier it is. I'm not surprised by Nick following him though. Nick has had a few instances on SM that he claimed were accidents or he didn't fully read a tweet. It should be interesting to see what he says this time or if anything at all. Gross.

Well it was originally sufficient even though it was never much more than a scare tactic. One can only imagine the ramifications of any attempt to enforce or collect on it. It would be the End of Days because who would sign the contract after someone got nailed for $5,000,000? Who would still go on the show? Who would want the publicity around such an action? And who would really want a court trial for a contested breach of contract and what would come out in open court at such a trial? Even the very contract itself is a study in how many pieces of your soul you can cut up and sign away.

Maybe the show will become less about the secret ending and more about the journey.

Actually--to be more factual---
I was the poster on FORT who received photographic proof of Melissa and Tye at a party prior to the viewing of FRC and the ATFR. It was not common knowledge close to anything like this season, not close.  I was in correspondence with several sources in the Carrolton, Tx area. My best friend for 40+ yrs lives here. I was hooked up with several people in the know.
When I tried to disperse this knowledge ahead of time of what was going down--there was outrage and vast denial. I was banned from another forum who was convinced Molly was the spawn of satan and mocked her as conceiving a "tent baby" from her tent date with Jason. It was nothing short of blasphemy!   
Jason's aunt-in-law didn't even know about the switcheroo, and she babysat Ty during the MTP/LCD in NZ. So I would beg to differ it was anything close to common knowledge of that particular outcome.
